Predicting another 100% more in Q4.

I like to think that explains a possible third shift. Also the valuation on Byrna is almost 8 times that of mace despite lower revenue. A similar valuation would put mace around $3/share. It doesn’t deserve that kind of valuation maybe but I’d be thrilled with it getting to 1.50.

So here’s what’s new to me from the presentation

Mostly it’s a rehash of previous presentations. They did mention they have a new product launch in Q1 that is apparently different than anything they have today.

They also provided an e-commerce revenue target of 25% versus 13% today, and mentioned that is 25% of a growing pie as they expect revenue to increase.

They did say they are not at capacity in terms of production. That makes sense if they count full capacity as 3 shifts. If they mean it as not full at 2 shifts it would be disappointing.

Basically if you have been paying attention there wasn’t much you didn’t already know.

Definitely some good sized blocks

Not sure why they would arrange a series of blocks at sizes like 30,739 though. In any case the block seller was still with us today.

My guess is the legacy overhang of shares is nearly exhausted. Possible there's still another slug left though. The bank situation could serve to jolt out the remaining overhang. Once that's gone, and hopefully new funds secured, the story here is compelling.

Product is still selling really well on amazon

You can watch when stuff comes in and becomes available. It’s usually back out of stock the same day. The pepper guns are a notable exception, but the sprays and gels go quickly. Sabre still owns amazon, and that definitely won’t change until mace can consistently provide product. They did recently switch the person working on the store which tells me they weren’t thrilled with results.

As of earlier today they had a product as number 7 in pepper sprays which is the highest I have seen for them in that category. Not that meaningful, but it does seem like progress.

I don’t tend to make my decisions based on voodoo readings of individual trades. It’s a great way to shoot your self in the foot reading chicken entrails. Like I said though to each his own. You have to make decisions based on whatever criteria you think works.

MACE produces tear gas for law enforcement. I have a feeling tcf does not want to support that business. There is an awful lot of woke in their public communications and their chairman took a prominent stance on the George Floyd case.

Buyer is patient and the seller folds usually. I think that dynamic changes around the start of October into earnings. Should be an amazing conference call with great guidance.

Probably has improved considerably. I first caught this one with the last earnings report so I didn’t see what it looked like before, but the new management team cited the amazon store as one of the things they fixed.

My impression is their amazon presence is still a point of weakness though and an opportunity for growth.
