Please read post #44 as why CFP has been pulled from this board.
It is no more than a legal scam.

Correction: CSP is paying .08/month.
That makes its rate about 12.7%
ARR has been good to me so far. While yes, it has been a short time, you can always sell if they stop paying dividends. I don't see any reason not to take advantage of this reit.
I use eoption. I can find news entries for dividends, but nothing that is searchable. For example I see CSP has a June div of .08, which seems to contradict what is on the board.
maybe you are looking for something like this?

You must be using a stock broker to place your buys and sells, even a discount broker like Scottrade has a information section to look for data of that nature.
I use Scottrade and I can look up the stock symbol and it will show the price, amount of shares traded, bid, ask, dividend, ex-date etc etc.
Your broker will have the same info you just either have to look it up or ask them where to find that info.
Good luck in your investing

Sorry for the delay.
GOOD = 8.05%
GAIN = 6.6%
O = 4.96%
JNK = 7.5%
IGD already rated by board
Of the 4 GAIN has the potential to have a future % of 13.2 if the dividends go back to previous levels.
The rest are too low to merit serious contention.IMHO
Good luck in your future investing

OK I finally got time to look at ARR.
A few comments about it:
1. 5 months of paying dividends is way way way too short to even think about adding it at this time.2002 thru 2009 NO DIVIDEND PAID.
2. Started paying quarterly and then switched to monthly.
3. This stock needs to be watched for at least 3-4 more months before I will add to list.
4. You will get credit when it is added if it does get the nod.
Good luck in investing to all

Thanks for the reply. I find that article somewhat humorous to be honest. The date is Mar 2010. Here is a weekly chart and what an investment at the time of the article could have done, (see the vertical line on the chart for ref), not to mention the massive compounding yield they could have been receiving.
I bought shares of CFP recently for the divy and the offering. One of the options of the offering that closed on Apr 1st, is to purchase shares at 102% of the NAV. If the shares are trading at such a premium to the NAV? I should get some real cheapies.
Thanks for the time you put into running the board, its a great strategy. I apologize if this sounds like a pump post. It really wasn't my intention. I just remember when a "Seeking Alpha" reporter shorted and wrote a similar article about AOD. I wish I would have bought that dip.

I figure since the board has declared the monthly divies until June? I should at least get some monthly income out of it.

See post #44 as to why CFP has been dropped from the list.
I will look over the rest later tomorrow to see if they merit being added to the existing list or if they will be added for future watching if the % of dividends rise to make the top 25.
GL in your investing.
Hi Go4-
I have a request for the board. Recently, CFP did a share offering for the existing shareholders. I've been involved in one other offering (with DHY) and made out like a bandit. My thinking is that with more eyes, we may miss fewer opportunities. If anyone notices an upcoming share offering for the monthly divies, it could be beneficial to us all.
I ran a stock screen looking for stocks under 10.00 with a dividend yield of 8% or better and volume over 50k.

Yes this is only a MONTHLY DIVIDEND STOCK site.
You should look for the stock board for that particular stock it may exist.
If not create it for yourself and see the Pink sheet players respond to it.

Just curious to see what this board thinks about a particular stock... Seem to specialize in dividends. ARSC , a 000 stock is getting some massive attention and has a ton of volume in the past couple weeks and now we had some news come out of the enormous dividend. Here is the news below. Just looking for an un-biased opinion.
ARSC SHARES ARE TRADING RIGHT NOW AT 0001/0002, We just got our bid back a few days ago.

ARSC Provides Hydra Spinoff Details: One Hydra Per 150 ARSC
American Security Resources Corporation (OTCBB:ARSC) today provided preliminary calculations of the ratio of the Hydra spinoff to ARSC shareholders in a special dividend.
Frank Neukomm, CEO of ARSC, stated, "After a number of calls from shareholders requesting additional details, we have done some preliminary calculations of the value of the spinoff to our shareholders of the stock of Hydra Fuel Cell Corporation."
Neukomm continued, "After a recapitalization of iVoice (Pink Sheets:IVOI) and a name change to Hydra Fuel Cell Corp., we expect that the dividend will be approximately one (1) share of new Hydra stock for each 150 current shares of ARSC. We expect that the value of Hydra is such that its initial trading range will be between $0.08 and $0.16 per share."
Hydra Fuel Cell Corporation

my bad you are right.my apologies

1: ROP is not a monthly dividend paying stock.
2: ROP only pays .46% per year. If you look at the list that would not even make it at 25.
3: Price is not a factor that I use, only % of dividend is the most important factor, with how long the dividend's have been paid out. Price & Dividend over time is another factor.
GO4AWILDRIDE
ROP try this one on for size. I know it is a bit spendy but just look at the returns. Also I am not much for charts but it does look like it wants to run a lot higher.

Nice catch
The spreadsheet is in an alphabetical order to ease the update process, then I do a sort order on the SIMPLE % column to put the correct top to bottom order which is what I intended to place on the FRONT SHEET (I-BOX) but I used the alphabetical version by mistake, I will correct that after this message is sent.

Here is a survey to take on your take on where DIVIDENDS DERIVE FROM

If you buy on the day before the EX-DATE you can sell on the EX-DATE and still get the dividend, but you will find that the share price had risen before the EX-DATE and drop on the EX-DATE and for the most part the rise and fall will be greater than the dividend itself so that strategy is not going to be a money maker for you.
Most other people are not too stupid to sell low and buy high when the dividend is going to someone else.
The only strategy that works is to buy well before the EX-DATE and hold for the dividend and continue to hold for future dividends.
What I am recommending is a buy and hold for dividend strategy, not a buy get the dividend and then sell as the share price will always fall after a dividend has been issued.
The boards strategy is to buy just after a dividend has been issued to get the lowest PPS for the future dividends as you will get a higher dividend % rate which is the reason of this board. Also when the dividend is issued buying more shares with that profit to increase your shares to receive even more dividend is what this board is recommending. By continuing to buy on a monthly basis is what increases the componding affect because as you are using the dividends to increase your shares which in turn increase your dividends.
GO4AWILDRIDE
X-div Question: If I buy the stock the day before the X-div date,
when can I sell it and still get the dividend?
What strategy is best for this type of issue?

thanks for all the great work! i love your board!

I use Scottrade and I can look up any EX-DATE for any stock.
CLM has the next EX-DATE of 9/13/2010 so make sure you own the shares by 9/12/2010, payment will be made on 9/30/2010 with the dividend of .1398 which currently gives a 15.127% yield based on $11.09 PPS.
You also can use the following site to check for the EX-DATES
http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/cornerstone-strategic-value-fund/clm/ase/dividends-splits
GO4AWILDRIDE
Ex-div dates: Do companies have to issue their ex-div dates in a SEC filing? I could not find CLM's for example in the sec.gov database.
I'm not keen on trusting Yahoo.
I thought there might be a scan engine that can search.
Similar to Stockcharts.com scanner.
I know how to google as well as the next guy.
Thanks though.

Try using GOOGLE and search for MONTHLY DIVIDEND STOCKS you should at least get these sites:
http://www.stockpickr.com/problog/1178/
OR
http://www.thestreet.com/story/10798604/top-yielding-monthly-dividend-stocks.html
Then your next challenge is to verify the sites information from sites like this:
http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/alpine-total-dynamic-dividend-fund/aod/nys/historical-prices?tf=all&gran=w
OR
http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/charts/chartdl.aspx?PT=10&compsyms=&D4=1&DD=1&D5=0&DCS=2&MA0=0&MA1=0&CF=0&DB=1&DC=1&D7=&D6=&showtablbt=View+price+history+with+dividends%2Fsplits&symbol=ANH&nocookie=1&SZ=0
I always use both AOL FINANCE & MSN MONEY to check DIVIDEND SITES for accuracy.
I use the DIVIDEND SITES to find the stocks and the other 2 sites to verify the data and to check the history of the dividends.
Hope this helps you find dividend stocks and you report them to me to add to this board if they are a higher % than the lowest on the chart in the I-BOX plus you will receive credit for finding the stock.
PS: Also check the other board QUARTERLY DIVIDEND STOCKS as it lists high paying quarterly dividend stocks.
GO4AWILDRIDE
How do you Scan for montly dividend payers? None of my scanners have that option. Thanks
thanks for the hard work!
