Probably a week early on that prediction...
Disappointment after disappointment for this company the past 3 years........
Why? Didn't today bring in down enough?
35 cents monday. Watch and learn.
Thanks for info, great confirmation.
Sure would like to see Amazon buy-out MCZ . . . though its looking slim chance?
It must be just me . . . but I keep envisioning that Mr. D. is stuck in early 2000s tech image. He keep laying out you retail investors monies for his dream machine 'surfaces', etc. to showcase at VG conferences?
Never see anyone in vast majority market of mobile gamers using any of his stuff.
I do agree that TV VG screen playing will be big (in our 'tuned-down' economy). Lets hope big time that you folks can make big bucks when it happens.
I still have joy stick devices that have built in VG from the early 2000 era (they are slow and somewhat amusing to play and delta cheap . . . compared to XBOX, etc.
And, I do not have to 'cloud' fund add-ons to pay for corporate executive yearly bonus increases, via buy-backs of their stock.
Maybe MCZ should go see ATAR about partnering (ATAR is dressing up its old VGs somewhat via code upgrades). Why not have those games on a version of the MCZ mobile, via a jack-in USB solid state drive stick? <---Sounds like cheap way to expand the MCZ game offering. Or, just have ATAR pay to have a VG play site available to MCZ users?

MCZ: Mad Catz launches new gaming surface and headsets at CES
http://www.pcr-online.biz/news/read/mad-catz-launches-new-gaming-products-at-ces/035341
Gaming products provider Mad Catz has announced a number of new toys for gamers at CES this year.
Two headsets and a brand new surface, claiming to allow gamers to move faster and be more precise, have been detailed.
G.L.I.D.E.TE gaming surface
This device provides gamers with a substantial playing area, ideal if users prefer broader in-game movements.
It has been designed to not fray at the edges, is water proof for easy clean, and is immune from curling so it can be rolled up and transported easily.
The G.L.I.D.E.TE is avaiable for order from the Mad Catz site for £34.99.
F.R.E.Q.9 gaming headset
This wireless headset connects with almost any audio source including PC, MAC, game consoles, mobile and smart devices.
It boasts surround sounds using AM3D Audio technology, which converts any audio into 3D sound. A discrete mic has been built in allowing users to communicate online without the need for a boom mic.
A support app is available for iOS and Android, so gamers can check battery levels and activate a number of features, and the device benefits from digitally controlled active noise cancellation, reducing background noise.
The headset can be ordered now from the Mad Catz website for $299.99.
F.R.E.Q.TE gaming headset
These tournament grade headsets have been designed with e-sports athletes so they deliver what even the more hardened gamer expects.
It features a custom uni-directional boom mic, meaning the voice of that player is conveyed accurately and without background noise.
Precision 50mm speakers are fitted inside ear cups padded with memory foam to boost passive noise cancellation.
This headset can be ordered from the Mad Catz site.

Not in stock anymore.
Sad but I think you are correct . . . its 'heavy' mobile gaming from not on.
Did any ever confirm that FireTV used MCZ tech in that device? <---just curious---saw artl. that they are virtually giving them away with a contract user buy.
Maybe MCZ should have gone more into mobile VG software creation? Doe anyone agree . . . and left the TV screen stuff to MSFT and the like? Mr. D, is he still traveling around on retail investors dime to tech shows to show off his aging tech wonders?
He has never understood his childhood tech is obsolete now in low-pay youth culture of mobile gaming. I have (some time ago) proposed that MCZ should have looked at creating a drop-in-your cellphone dock . . . internet gambling manual pull-down type slot machine attachment (to reach out to casino goers that stay-cation at home). <---MCZ should have hooked-up with casino owners, to grab the home-player market for such a device. <---big casino goers and the casino profits take . . . is dropping (everyone is too broke).
I would look for MCZ to soon be sold to another company?
Best-of-luck to anyone still holding.
Watch for Mr. D flipping sign along avenue . . . 'I have Mad-Cats Owners Disease . . . Help Me'!
Good day everyone! I am new to finding this company. I only heard about it due to I work in printing and we are doing a magazine for the CES show here in vegas and they have 16pg magazine That goes inside the CES daily show! Looks like an awesome gaming device, but wanted to get others opinions about this company before I spend hrs doing DD. Thanks in advanced.

Filed a $30 million universal shelf registration statement.
the problem is more kids today are spending more time on their cellphones-ipads than TV gaming.
Here is the problem MCZ has, to my way of thinking, IMAGE.
Another 'problem' is $$s.
Does anyone see ANY evidence of sales growth (earnings was -.02, NOT +.15!). What possibly could that say about our product acceptance by the public? Supposedly, Fire TV is new case on MOJO electronic guts package. Is Foxconn underwriting MCZ (Foxconn is the manufacturer for MOJO)? Where are the Fire TV sales?!! Is the reputed 'secret' of Amazon/MCZ tie-in (and possibly financed by Amazon) such a super stealth secret that even Foxconn and PLA intel can't penetrate it? Move over CIA . . . MCZ is the real stuff!
Note how MOJO has been advertised and shudder?
Word-of-mouth on Face book and MCZ webpage.
Now . . . that's an AD budget! Results so far?
E3 has given us NO evidence that Mr. D leading the elite MCZ presentation team, has sparked even static electricity on the conference floor rug.
Mr. D is not the Elon Musk of new mobile geek dome.
MOJO was a great concept . . . yet wherein is its validation?
We are told it will come in Feb-Mar 2015 quarterly earnings.
Again . . . why can'(;)t gamers envision the potential in the MOJO game system? If it were the price . . . they flipped for Xbox One and PS4. So what is the prob-blem-mo?
MCZ Headsets business is . . . impaired . . . to say the least.
Didn't we buy those headphone companies to create sales?!!
An immediate perception comes to mind . . . met anyone wearing MCZ Headphones on the street? See many on sale at Game Stop, etc.?
Surely they must be wearing them at home.
One guess what is moving over to the 'legacy sales' CAT account frame?
Lets see how good of a used cars lot sales person the D is.
That image is starting to form again . . . of that guy on the free way ramp stop light corner . . . selling decals and having a sign 'I GOT THE MOJO!'
is.
Doubtful many happy MCZ campers?
One begins to wonder why Mr. D would send himself to Needham Interconnect Conference, with a quarterly earnings report like we just have seen.
E3 reports? Nope.
Why would any company name their new computer mouse a RAT?
Mad Catz and Rat are so out-dated marketing terms.
Total operating expenses are down roughly $1.4Mil.
MCZ = Americas (including USA?) down, EU down in sales . . . sounds like a great last holiday sales season?
Headset sales fell + Mice + Key boards.
We have $1 Mil in new debt coupled to less sales . . . sounds like an up and coming company.
MOJO? Maybe some Fire TV accessories sold.
Get realistic . . . who will carry retail space products with declining sales? Even more gloom . . . who would want to buy their dwindling sales products divisions? I know . . . I know . . . Radio Shack! Then, they can use the RAT Shack brand name?
What will be telling in new quarters to come, is will Asian workers buy the products they are hired to manufacture?
Racing Wheel and Remoter Pedals, Fire TV, MOJO, Mobile online use Joysticks, and transfer Decals sales have to save us come next 2-3 quarters.
Do not expect pay cuts, nor stock options sales to end.
The D is destined to ride his pony into the ground and then sell it for pet food?
Now that is real MBA class leadership . . . it doesn't get any better.
I am strongly considering selling and just pulling up a lawn chair and a pop and watching the coming B-Grade 2-star disaster.
We have reached the point wherein the little companies just do now have the $$s to put out and advertise their products. This will not bode well for the future of freedom and plenty for USA. Online website presence and 3-D printing is not going to carry our ball into the future. The bottom 40% are looking at a barter/DIY economy.

The initial industry reception is exceeding expectations and reflects the strong consumer appeal the video game industry holds. Karen McGinnis, Chief Financial Officer of Mad Catz, commented, "We experienced a 10% decrease in net sales during the first quarter driven by declines in sales of products for legacy consoles in all regions as a result of the console transition and, to a lesser extent, declines in sales of mice and keyboards. These declines were offset partially by strong sales of products for the new consoles and smart devices, as well as an increase in sales of our Saitek flight simulation products. Although sales declined 10% compared to the prior year, our gross margin improved to 30% and our operating expenses decreased by 17%. As a result, our operating loss in the first quarter was $1.1 million, compared to the $2.1 million operating loss generated in the first quarter last year. We also remained focused on managing our overall liquidity position and ended the quarter with a net position of bank loan less cash of $5.3 million, compared to $8.4 million a year ago and $4.1 million last quarter."
Mr. Richardson, concluded, "Overall, we are pleased with the results around our initiatives to reduce operating expenses, improve gross margins and launch new products across various platforms. As we enter fiscal 2015, we remain confident that our business strategy, product offerings and financial position are primed to deliver improved results and help us to return to growth and profitability by focusing on what we do best: designing innovative products for passionate gamers and executing strong global market launches of those products; selling gaming accessories for new platforms, including smart devices; expanding our global sales reach, particularly in APAC; maintaining our disciplined approach to working capital management and product placement profitability; expanding our Saitek flight simulation business; and identifying strategic opportunities for the expansion of products in adjacent and compatible categories."

I still hold my MCZ, what else can we do, to improve any chance to get a return on MCZ.
My conjecture in my post was how can MCZ keep surviving quarter after quarter, without giving us retail investors definitive numbers, and status of MOJO and Amazon relationship?
Mr. Darren is playing a game of who will be left standing in the dancing circle, when he declares the music will stop? He steadily gets ever closer to BK, Reverse Split, Pinkie Land, re-organization
(translation: downsizing) MCZ product and division lines, or deficit financing, or a combo partnership of mutual survival need-----take your pick.
It is disturbing (to say the least), we seemingly have no numbers evidence of increasing MCZ sales by specific device. Wouldn't you like to know WHO is buying WHAT of MCZ products?
Maybe us investors should fund a Facebook poll of MCZ product buyers. Then, we will really see what MCZ has to do to succeed.
The Truth will out?
Will we see new price reduction for MOJO (premised on 'improvements in production costs')? Was this to happen as we have MOJOs stacked up in warehouses, waiting for sales (thus no need for new orders from factory)?
Will we get the same vague story that 'we look forward to coming quarters to provide our impetus, based on rising expectations for our new lines'? We just got our can kicked down the street.
The D. is a quick study in How To Live Off Deficit Spending?
Will Donald Trump spot this person and invite him on his show, or will Shark Tank serve up the dinner menu?
Of course, there will always be 'weather woes' to blame for coming quarters, or even 'election jitters' on the pocketbook.
After all, gamers never know what they want or need, do they?
No blue skies with the last few Q's and K.
August 4 earnings call scenario
No new sales figures.
Fire Amazon----silence.
News from E3 show: it was fun and enlightening.
Do we have any cash to last beyond Feb 2015---silence.
Do we have an ad budget or a travel budget? Happy days coming up.
Will we have MCZ products demo set-up very near entrance to coming conference?
Sales potential for coming new school year and holidays---build it . . . they will come!
Do we still have 'legacy' inventory for PS 3 left still?
As USA and world economy and jobs growth continues to improve, we expect to have a thrilling effect on purchases by gamers. Sure.
More folks in Middle East and EU associate our products with quality and our national image there. Russian sales are hopeful.
MCZ has new plan to create a skin decal business resurgence, based on . . . .
We have switched on the high-end phers. income market. Of course.
Rich kids and parents all know about and want to use MCZ products.
MCZ UP! > is their cry.
What will earnings be . . . +.01 or -.06 . . . maybe MCZ can get into lipstick partner . . . coupons with every controller sold
High interest rate loans and private placement . . . Come On Down!
MCZ is missing the boat . . . make a controller that works like a slot machine for online gamblers . . . its the missing physical-mind inter-connection lacking for growing internet gambling crowd.
You play and win and the handle vibrates and lights up and voice chip has encouraging remarks.
Lets believe in good news and results for August 4 and remember none of the above stuff will happen. Project Blue Skies is in vogue.

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. (“Mad Catz”) (NYSE MKT/TSX:MCZ) announced today the shipping of the first products in its range of licensed audio headsets for Xbox One under the TRITTON® gaming audio brand.
Previously announced at E3 2014, the range of headsets has been specifically tuned to the needs of the gamer. Headsets now available include:
MCZ came up while I was doing some screens. Looks like it is about to take a bounce to me. Also, who doesn't need a cheap off-brand headset for their new Xbox? I know I do. Looking for at least 10-20 percent on this guy in the next week. Cheers and good luck all. It has a nice trend line on that bottom. ;) I am in at the first sign of buys green! *watch-listed*
Seems only the die-hard investors are left now.
I figure within 4 quarters we have reverse split or Mr. D strips the company into two parts, and sells MOJO system to whoever (e.g. Amazon). Next quarter firefly revenues should show up ( probably under other devices catagory) knowing Mr. D. Amazon may go through 2015 holiday season with firefly and then know if customer sales will support it. Realistically, by then, Amazon will have made its 'cut decision'.
My thinking is Amazon got in real cheap with MOJO ala Firefly tech and will decide then whether to upgrade it. At that point, MCZ should have taken the option of being able to use that upgrade, to transfer that tech over to MOJO.
Adding the Firefly sales to the MOJO sales, should take us to over 50K units sold through Jan 2015? That's our only hope to survive as a company.
MCZ headsets may not be being accepted by customers . . . call it the poor man's Apple Head Phone syndrome: you may not have a job or a very dull part time one . . . but you have your walk-around signature head phones. Like wearing your Nike Tens into the welfare office.
Went to Game Stop retail store . . . no evidence of MCZ on display . . . accept as used stuff. They did not even know about coming MCZ drive wheel console. Wall space was occupied by other manufacturers head phones and controllers.
Would it not have been nice to have had Amazon (and maybe Gary B),
do PR using the MCZ drive wheel console . . . to enter stock car and NASCAR races . . . virtually? And, wearing the MCZ headphones. Oh well . . . dream a little dream.
Mr. D has taken sales online. I have not checked magazine racks, for ads and articles.
MCZ must need cash infusion badly now.
One just holds now . . . and waits.
Lets see what MCZ has in mind for E3 electronics show.
We should be able to get PR stock chart up scales to $1 or so, by Jan 2015.
Are you holding through this drop?
I apologize for being ignorant, but what does that mean?
Also, checkout the new news above about MCZ and Onlive PR.
This helps MCZ expand its use of MOJO system, with android appl for Onlive games, etc. This PR content seems to give another view to AMAZON relationship and potential? It seemingly says MCZ may only have a lesser stage agreement with Amazon, as to Amazon exclusivity
to MOJO tech? Mr. D is holding on to his MOJO?
Just makes the coming MCZ call more open to new possibilities.
Lets see if we get some electro gold dusting on the drying paint PR desert,we all have had to endure.
After thinking some more on the potential Amazon and MCZ interplay, I saw some more optional relationship comments to make on that subject.
MOJO system is very inexpensive way for Amazon to do something like a Firefly test launch device (and MOJO already has developed and legal protection, as such a system). Vola! Mr. D has brought such a system to Amazon. All Amazon has to do is either/or 'loan' or 'co-sign the same, and provide some manufacturing and shipping money to MOJO, meet with Foxconn and lay down the rules of engagement; and provide MCZ some upfront cash on the deal (which includes royalties per unit sold).
Pennies From Heaven! from every angle on this possible deal.
1. Amazon ties up MOJO tech only for itself and stops potential competitors from getting this 'out-of-the-blue smashing jump ahead.
2. Foxconn is opening plant in Canada (and would love to have pre-customers already set-up). Foxconn uses their Asian production sites to get it all up and running for now.
3. Amazon can take out the option to easily put a test toe into the coming huge online mobile paid gaming/gambling sector just getting going. MCZ carries the 'load' and AMAZON is hardly involved. The large casino operators are not supportive to paid online gambling, and doing some lobbying, etc. to see it gets slowly way down. AMAZON and Silicon Valley just steps over their concerns, and has MOJO platform to quickly modify and make-it-so.
The battle lines are drawn, and who has super big $$s behind it to make 'their' version happen, regardless?
4. Amazon (if they have co-signed a loan draw for MCZ) . . . can easily buy some millions of MCZ stock shares and options agreement . . . gain Amazon some friendly seats on MCZ BOD, and thus 'blocked' anyone from buying out MCZ without them on-board? And, very small legal problems and quick lockup, with this maneuver.
Just some more comments from the peanut section.
Were any of the above to come true, we retail investors might not see MCZ stock price fall, depending on what MCZ states and hints within the coming earnings call?
This could be a conference call, we all find mucho to like.
As others have said, MCZ is about the future . . . not the past.
Should be interesting call.
My take as of now: without pre-conference call buildup PR release . . . news is not good (and so far today volume very low). Quarterly earnings will be within $20-40 mil range and -.01 > .07 or +.01 > +.05 (weather will be the rationale). No mention of why online buyers did not carry the slack and still buy.
Older gamers probably still want to 'see' the goods at a brick-and-mortar location firstly: try before you buy?
Again;, feel Mr. D was way off base, by not having low-cost traveling display motor homes with MCZ signage in weather premitting areas, with sleeping quarters inside and the vehicle teams could have allowed potential users to hands-on at regional events. For example, sell at game stop stores and do ads with coupons, a week before arrive. Lots of folk would have opportunity to see full MCZ line and get to know it. Have contest awards and product give-aways based on the local ads print-out. Work with schools to show off MCZ ED possibilities, and show teachers how to set-up their own class lesson plans that include achievements award credits that allow bonus game play sessions. Local libraries might go for that, as extra activity sessions for home schoolers.
Our best option for retail MCZ investors: Mr. D tells us that a very large online retailer has backed MOJO system and that MCZ product line is available through them. My thinking is Amazon is testing the waters quite inexpensively with MOJO and let us hope some MCZ stock interplay. I find it speculative that Mr. D left Friday open to MCZ stock action, after Thursday Call.
Would also very much like to hear that MCZ MOJO has mobile online betting gambling/gaming use potential, in present and soon increasing numbers of state online play systems being developed.
This would be mainly software issue for MOJO, and mobile internet provider should be contacted to see if they will carry the software system download, in their appls store.
MCZ needs to be doing more with Indie online game assistance development (like COOL Midnight City is doing)?
Throwing some tech help, marketing skills and say $10-30K into helping Indie developers along could be another avenue for MCZ revenues.
I am ready to buy more MCZ if stock price falls significantly.
For 2015 seasonal retailing 'weather problems' lack of sales explanation again . . . speculate MCZ gets thinned down and Mr. D takes a stay-cation in his office.
Mr. D is way more smarter than I am at running his company and R&D . . . lets see how it goes.

Hey, welcome back. I'm still holding onto my shares from .56
Ascending channel chart looks good.
Lets see how is goes after earnings.
Thanks. Usually earnings after the bell is iffy for investors?
Earnings 6/5/14 after close.
Probably about 2 weeks to earnings call?
MCZ should have some sales to report?
Sales should be $20-40 million for the past quarter, enough to keep MCZ afloat. We may, however; see some layoffs or projects cut-backs? Very big silence on MOJO to date. Racing wheel pheri comments (and initial sales) would certainly help.
Maybe announce small price-cut for MOJO (spun as economies of production line?).
Maybe fight stick 'upgraded' design is coming announcement?
It will be always clever how FireFly Amazon rumor is addressed at call.
PS360, etc. console accessories inventory reduction should be addressed in CC.
A new project or two may be indicated for 2015 era (very vaguely)?
Would like to hear MOJO sales over several thousand, though this is info D likes to keep to himself for now?
I will have to stop at my local Games Stop outlets and see if TitanFall sales were anything. EA might be a way to gauge that RE: EA stock price and board comments?
Petro prices do not drop quickly . . . we are screw-driver-ed for fall and next holiday season? Lowering petro pump price is real only way to rapidly 'primp' consumer retail sales. This would be hard for multinationals to do, as they look to continue earnings.
FED may have to stop monthly QE funding reductions? Ukraine effects on EU and world markets has not been helpful either, to calm consumers.
We either get bang-up! CC news or oh hmm . . . .
Everyone have nice M Day weekend.
Would it not be neat to see D team passing out promo ad info for Racing Wheel at national racing TV events? A hand-out catalog mail-in drawing for MCZ products? Old-fashion low-cost promo. Even a free booth demo referral nearby to rac, with 'SEE Here Demo of PC game Racing Wheel'?
Why not approach movie folk and include segment in their car action films, etc. of Racing Wheel playing by star?
Don't feel bad.
Lots of us here believed Mr. D and thought we would see say $1.00-1.25 (at least for a brief time). Recently, we have not topped $1, which kind of makes us all do the MOJO Shake.
Sure hoped we continue slowly up next week, as we keep approaching next earnings call. Or, does MCZ drop back into .50s and then climb again for earnings call?
I will buy more if it drops. Why?
My thought is Mr. D has a deal with either Fox conn and/or Amazon on the side and cannot tell us of it (right now}.
Those 1 mil plus days of shares mean something . . . we go up or someone is buying control of MCZ (and it are not Mr. D with his annual cost-of-living 'food stamps' from us retail investors).
My money thought is with Amazon . . . someone big is fronting production of all MCZ new mobile and play tech? MCZ hardly has present budget left able to pay its employees (along with Mr. D's hair buff jobs). I originally thought Fox Conn was our money savior. But looking more now like (to just me?) Ama-mama is using MCZ MOJO design and accessories, as a way cheap $$s involved ploy . . . to back up Kindle tablet. Can any of you imagine MCZ able to quickly get sales $$s cleared, and transferred, for production/shipping new supply to USA Amazon customers?
Fox Conn is actively building up new plant in Canada (a Free Trade into USA) and who would love to have their product physically produced/sourced from North America plant site?
Bought more shares earlier in the week at .56. I am holding to see if if continues up. That's probably why I don't make $, I buy and sell at the wrong times ... ha !
