still trading w/ etrade
No I can still trade it...no issues here
So given the lack of volume, is this blocked by all brokers now? If so that is a shame because the chart still looks outstanding.
I hope your right, thats all we can do is wait if you have scottrade.
Hey everyone,
Just got back from the ranch. What happened here? Where is wyokid and all the of the big talkers that were here recently? Is the deal with VRINGO still going through or what? I guess I didn't really expect to see such a dead board after all the excitement on Monday. Ya'll can do what you want, but I am going to hold till the cows come home, or at least until the merger and buyout go through. GLTA on this board and I will be waiting for that 10K that will make this thing fly.
is there a fusion with vrng?
Sorry, VRNG not VRGO....
One of the reasons DTC may have put a hold on the stock,
other than the possible discovery of unregistered shares, etc.
may be due to evidence of a "trading irregularity". This would
make sense because of the volume spike starting around
March 7.
The settlement of the SEC vs. MWIS on
Feb 1,2011 included an injunction issued to the company "permanently restraining and enjoining defendant MWIS from violations..." of a shitload of sections, one of which probably has to do with never again to engage in "pump and dump" schemes.
Don't know the mechanics of the system but its possible
that DTC gets a list from the SEC requiring them to
monitor certain stocks for unusual activity.
Don't put it past the scumbuckets who ran this company
to try to pull off one last scam with the VRGO "merger".
Just a guess...GLTU
Good to know at least one other person
understands what's going on.
It's a bummer, but hopefully things will turn out ok.
A trading suspension however is always a cause for concern...
Definitely not a buy signal like some posters
here would have you believe... GLTU
*typed from iphone damn auto correct
Because it's only scottstrade thus far no one else is reporting problems like I said earlier etrade uses DTCC
And they are trading fine
It's Not the best thing to do, but if you feel trap with Scottrade and you think it could drag on, Pull your MWIS certificate and bring it to another broker's firm..2-4 week to receive it and re-registered to street name at another broker..
By that time, Merger will probably over..
P.S. It’s never a Good thing to Pull your cert in Penny stock..
It just so many People are frustrated about losing there MWIS share(lock)
imo
I emailed DTC head, no reply, will have to phone tomorrow. Scottrade told me DTC does not allow this security to move between DTC participants. I asked Scottrade if they are going to give me the actual stock certificate or who has it. Will see what they say. It seems DTC is the bigger problem, not so much Scottrade. Hopefully, the lock will lift soon.
I picked up shares at IB, no problem/restrictions..nice pullback..will add more if it dips
Right, but the issue at hand is the DTC's involvement. You act as if this is something Scottrade orchestrated or decided unilaterally. Which is untrue. I'm upset with Scottrade given that I am stuck in this, but ultimately it is because the company had some issues in the past and the SEC filed their investigation 2-1-11 and the DTC locked this on 3-18-11. The timing is questionable at best though.
Because it's only scottstrade thus far no one else is reporting problems like I sai earlier etrade uses etch
And they are trading fine
How is it nonsense? We can't trade because the company had a DTC lock put on, and Scottrade has no way around it like other brokers. The fault is with the DTC, but ultimately with the company if all is true. The timing is ambiguous at best however.
yes
there is fear in the air because of this scottstrade nonsense
I have no idea. I'm stuck with Scottrade
Are other brokerages allowed to trade this still? Just asking because of the low volume day we just had.
who cares... we're back @ .023
I'm out. Thanks to all the whining Scottrade users. Your punishment will follow hopefully. This topic does not belong in this board when it affects only Scottrade users. Clarified by something in the future per PM. Such discussions are counterproductive. This stock has so much potential. The price drop is the least you, as long as you can not act. Think about it.
PPS: $ 0.0126 - (-47.5%) well done
I'm all for a good conspiracy theory, but the DTTC.com website clearly states that MWIS has had their DTCC services suspended. It is not just a Scottrade lock. Scottrade is simply the only broker where this is 100% shut down, although the lack of volume today is curious.
Yea BL that is what another poster had said. If that is the case, then Scottrade could be in some serious trouble because I have 2 emails from the corporate Scottrade center saying that it is a Global Lock. Im pretty sure that if it is a Scottrade only lock, the company would be in trouble for stating otherwise.
I don't know if global lock is what MWIS even has... global lock prevents trading thats not occurring as etrade is trading through them
I think its a scottstrade lock, they do it often
He didnt know that it was locked. He was headed over to his computer to check it out but I was in a rush so I just asked him to explain the DTCC global lock. As he was explaining it I told him that the stock was still trading and has been for about 3 days now since my shares were restricted. He went on to explain the process and said that the lock happens for different reasons. It could be that something is about to happen with the corporation as far as a merger or something or it could be for something due to some type of fraud. He did say that the fraud may not be something that even has to do with the corporation. It could be from outside sources that did a naked short sale or something along those lines. After that he went into the secondary clearing houses. He wished that Scottrade was able to trade the stock. I'm thinking that what he meant by that was " I wish that I was able to cash in on all of the missed commissions due to the lock".
German Broker CONSORS didnot look anything !
Did he know it was DTCC locked, or did you tell him and he just told you what the process was?
Just trying to get a clear picture he doesn't really have reason to lie
I with you BL... It's really hard to know what or who to believe in the stock market. He didn't seem to be trying to pull the wool over my eyes. I wasnt giving him any type of attitude so there was really no reason for him to. He may have just been speculating. All I know is I hope that stupid lock gets lifted.
E*Trade uses DTCC solely
They cannot trade CLDR (global locked)
they CAN trade MWIS just fine
So I don't know if thats completely accurate
Just spoke with the manager at my local Scottrade branch . He explained to me that even with the dtcc global lock on MWIS , the stock could still be traded. Scottrade can't trade the stock because the dtcc is who they use to settle and clear their transactions . However other brokerages may use and different clearing house so that gives them a route around the dtcc lock. So for the people that don't have MWIS shares with Scottrade ,it looks like your clear to continue trading away. For us that are stuck with Scottrade we are SOL until the lock is hopefully lifted . Do your own DD & GLTA
This was ME
i added 100 K . Now i Own 500 K !
I hope this will bring me my first Million $ , if $$$$ Land is comin !
a 100,000 share order just went through on MWIS, I thought trading was blocked?
nice spread.. .012 by .024
eat em up scottrade oh i mean nite, woops
strange my l2 volume changed from the 1m down to 5k now must have been a glitch or something going on
And look who it is None other than NITE trying to cover their short probably.....
1st trade 11:15AM
Here we go! It started moving
I can see some orders that were placed this morning on the ask side , but I see nothing for today on the bid.
I am able to place an order but i am not seeing it update on L2
That zeroes it down to the legality of the MWIS
asset sale and possible collusion issues....
I just checked http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/MWIS/quote and its only showing trades for 3/23/2011. Also in lvl1 its not showing any trades
Verified.... because I can see it :)
Yep. I see VRNG trading but not MWIS. Can someone verify, please.
