Rare earth metals play; in the right sector at the right time with EV continuing to gain traction globally.
Accumulation looking solid
Chart is looking interesting here
Interesting action of late. Going to do some DD here
REE's huge scare years ago..Lynas$ the only legit player...
Will do Thank you.
No longer following but suggest you do serious DD on the filings.
Is there any one here? We were share holders a few years ago. Took profits and moved on. Now considering buying back in since the Chinese possibility to reduce or cut off supplies seems to be intensifying.
I used to moderate this thread years ago but after they did the R/S many longs that were here got fed up. Now you can apply for the moderator job. You just need about 4 more posts here and they should give it to you. Once that happens you can post stickies and create a new updated thread.
I'm wondering if more people will come if they see more news and discussion on this board...?
I'm not sure how to post a sticky, I think I need a premium account. Do you know how to do this?
Sure if you wanna put it up. Nobody come here anymore though.
Should this notice be A stuck note for the board? Seems like it should...

News: $LYSCF Rare Earths the First Tech War Casualty
As resources like coal that once fueled the global economy become obsolete, an array of new metals are quickly taking the stage as the future of the mining sector. However, as nations around the world scramble to secure supplies of the metals they need, it has become quite apparent...

Good info, thanks!
Yes, refining the REMs is very process intensive and can leave radioactive tailings that have to be dealt with. (The rare earth deposits are often accompanied by thorium as well.)
The Mountain Pass mine in California is an exception, it has a high grade rare earth ore body that doesn't contain thorium. The company that owns it, MpMaterials, is privately held though. (If they have an IPO any time soon I'll likely invest it, and I normally stay far away from IPOs.) When MpMaterials acquired the Mountain Pass assets they also got a processing facility that they are currently rehabbing. So soon, the U.S. will have two rare earth processing plants to go along with the one operating mine.
I guess rare earth minerals are actually pretty abundant. It’s the refining of them that has China with the power.
News article from today, June 7th, 2019:
Rare-Earths Giant to Prioritize U.S. Military's Needs, CEO Says
Yeah, this play is dependent upon the Chinese playing hardball. I think they will.
I’m on the fence.
Getting close to filling the gap. Order in.
I bought back in at $2.04, but I still have some dry powder if it does fill the gap.
I'm getting impatient waiting for that.
Volume has dropped... could fill the gap soon. ????
It's looking promising on the 30 minute chart. All of these new buyers are getting their stop loss orders triggered.
The question now becomes; if it fills the gap, just how low will it go?
That's what I'm counting on. This thing is currently being driven by the news cycle, which has a very short memory. I'm hoping to buy back in cheap before the next round of trade war saber rattling.
I think that there's a good chance that the Chinese will make good on their threat.
Agreed. It’s damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
lolz, I can't tell you how many times I didn't take profits and regretted it within 24 hours!
Obviously I didn't top-tick this perfectly, but it'll do for now.
That’s some good discipline! Had to do the same just to prove I could do it.
I had to take profits, it would have been foolish not to. (I was up 28%.) If this gives up these gains I'll jump right back in.
This is a good company even without a trade war. They have a lengthy investor presentation on their website that's worth looking in to. (It's from about 5 days ago.)
Strong volume on new 52 week highs
That's my thought too, I'm not taking profits just yet.
We may just be getting started if the trade war continues to het up.
Oh yeah! This is turning out to be one of my best trades ever.
Things are looking great here now with the current events.
Very interesting history, thank you! I still like the ETF, I think it could go a lot higher soon, and it has the liquidity for good trading too. Glty
I should have taken profits too, but was asleep at the wheel. I still have both, and will likely add to both this week.
This trade war with China is a technological one, and I don't think we've seen the last of the REM cutoff threat.
Look back in time 8 or 9 years to the time when they ceased exporting REM to Japan, that was quite the play at the time, and it could easily do that again. (If not more so.)
Risk/Reward here makes this a no-brainer to me.
I started accumulating shares here last week took my profits from RE MX and brought them here to LYS CF I am planning to buy more soon as well. Great find imo.
Yes, good timing on their part and they didn't even know it
nono, annoucement of joint venture, to develop activities in US....
Took a position here today, now let's see how the "Trade War" plays out.
