Eon Minerals Inc. to Evaluate HMN Brine using Direct Lithium Extraction Technology
May 17, 2021 / Vancouver, BC / Lithium South Development Corporation (the “Company”) (TSX-V: LIS) (OTCQB: LISMF) (Frankfurt OGPQ) is pleased to provide an update on the continued evaluation of Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology for its Hombre Muerto North Lithium Project (HMN Li Project), located in Salta Province, Argentina.
LIS is working with Eon Minerals Inc. (EMI), a Miami Florida based technology company. EMI is headed by Mr. Fernando Villarroel, Vice-President and a director of the Company. The EMI process is an innovative absorbent consisting of specific nanoparticles and is currently patent pending at the United States Patent Office. A 2,000-liter brine sample has been received at the EMI laboratory in Salta, and test work is anticipated to begin this week.
A first phase in evaluation of the process will be to analyze a computational chemistry brine with the absorbent to determine the reliability and duration of the absorbent. The second phase will involve test work utilizing a natural brine sample taken from the 2,000-liter reserve. The testing will be conducted under the supervision of a Qualified Person along with third party ISO Certified laboratory verification.
LIS is now utilizing four options to determine the optimal plan for the development of the project. Three DLE processes are now under evaluation, and the Company is continuing to move forward with test work utilizing conventional evaporation.

Lilac Solutions April 13, 2021 / Vancouver, BC / Lithium South Development Corporation (the “Company”) (TSX-V: LIS) (OTCQB: LISMF) (Frankfurt OGPQ) is pleased to provide an update on the continued evaluation of Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology for its Hombre Muerto North Lithium Project (HMN Li Project), located in Salta Province, Argentina.
Lilac Solutions of Oakland California, a lithium extraction company providing technology and services to lithium brine developers, has advised the Company that they have completed their own testing using their patented Ion Exchange (IX) media on a synthetic sample of the HMN Li Project brine, identical in chemical composition to that contained within the projects NI 43-101 Preliminary Economic Assessment previously filed by the Company. The results produced a lithium chloride eluate solution recovering 99% of the lithium with very low reagent consumption. The eluate composition showed high purity and low total dissolved solids. This eluate would be concentrated using reverse osmosis and mechanical evaporation to feed a conventional plant for the production of lithium hydroxide or lithium carbonate. Both acid and base reagents used in the process can be produced on site using a chlor-alkali system. Water consumption was 18 metric tonnes for each tonne of Lithium Carbonate Equivalent produced. The results and values reported were provided by Lilac Solutions and were not conducted in an ISO Certified Laboratory under the supervision of a Qualified Person, and the results presented have not been verified by a Qualified Person.
Conventional lithium extraction involves the construction of large evaporation ponds to concentrate the lithium contained in the raw brine. The costs of pond construction is significant, the environmental footprint is large, and the production lead time is approximately 18 months. These factors contribute to the challenges of applying the traditional evaporation process to meet increasing market demand. Prior Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technologies have also struggled due to high water and energy consumption. Lilac’s new lithium extraction process enables rapid and low-cost extraction of lithium from brine with minimal water and energy. The Company is evaluating both conventional evaporation and DLE to determine the optimal process method for the HMN Li Project.
The next phase of test work will involve Lilac expanding test work with a natural brine sample sourced from the HMN Li Project. The results will be analyzed under the supervision of a Qualified Person along with third party ISO Certified laboratory verification. This will provide confirmation of the results on synthetic brine as well as an indication of expected
costs for a commercial scale process.

DOUBLING OF LITHIUM RECOVERY FROM BRINE WITH CHEMPHYS PROCESS
Highlights
80% recovery of lithium from brine using Chemphys XFP-Lithium Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) process.
Near doubling of lithium recovery rates from conventional evaporation extraction
Bulk brine sample acquisition for pilot scale test work.
Vancouver, British Columbia / March 17th, 2021 – InvestorsHub NewsWire - Lithium South Development Corporation (the "Company") (TSX-V: LIS) (OTCQB: NRGMF) (Frankfurt OGPN) is pleased to report completion of laboratory scale evaluation using synthetic brine modeled on the Hombre Muerto North Lithium Project (HMN Li Project) chemical composition. The test work was completed by Chengdu Chemphys Chemical Industry Ltd. (Chemphys) utilizing its proprietary XFP-Lithium Direct Lithium Extraction process, which selectively extracts lithium ions from brine. Testing was performed at the Chemphys ISO certified facility in Chengdu, China. Independent check sampling was completed at the PONY Testing International Group Co Ltd., an ISO/IEC 17020 and ISO/IEC 17025 certified laboratory. All work was completed under the supervision of Don Hains of Hains Technology Associates of Toronto, Canada, who is acting as the Qualified Person.
The process conditions were screened to select optimized parameters, (including operating at 25 oC). The average lithium recovery achieved was 80%, producing an intermediate lithium sulfate product enriched from 0.7 g/L Li to 1.7g/L Li. This represents a near 100% increase in lithium extraction, in comparison to the conventional evaporation process results completed by the Company. The laboratory test work shows good selectivity of the adsorption process, high Li adsorption, elution and total recovery rate and low adsorbent loss rate. Chemphys also determined that the intermediate lithium sulfate produced met the feedstock quality requirements to directly produce battery grade lithium carbonate.
The Chemphys process is part of an innovative class of lithium extraction technologies, Direct Lithium Extraction ( " DLE " ). The XFP-Lithium process allows for faster and more efficient extraction of lithium from brine with significantly reduced evaporation pond footprint. The Company is evaluating both conventional evaporation and DLE to determine the optimal process method for the HMN Li Project.
The next phase of test work will involve pilot plant cycle testing using synthetic brine and validation using a large bulk sample of HMN Li Project brine. The bulk brine sample acquisition will be conducted next week, with the sample expected in China by March. The pilot program will further validate the process conditions established by the laboratory test work on a larger scale, continuous cycle program, and also produce high quality lithium carbonate samples. The pilot testing is expected to be completed in 2Q 2021.

Nice day and hope this upward trajectory continues next week. A volume of 2 million in a half day is crazy and 1.7 mil were stocks that were bought, with an 87K purchases.
Maybe it will make a big move up like LTUM did last week.
