CONVERTING from PENNIES to BIG BOARDS...NOW is the time:
i know that for some, this header will be disappointing, because you may have a smaller portfolio and ass/u/me that the ONLY way you build it up is to catch a big penny run........the penny runs of yesteryear are OVER for the most part....back in 2005 and earlier, there wasnt a day that went by where some stock(with liquidity) ran up to doubles, triples and more.....today, every now and then one shows up.....but its rare! ......look at the post i am replying to.......at that time, i had a total of 52 stocks that i made up a watchlist....so i decided to check on these stocks......so i set up a 10 day chart to open ALL 52 charts and watch them open, one right after the other(with qt, i can do this).....i think 5 were green after 10 days of trading......and yeah, i'll probably get someone who tells me that "their" stock was one of em.......whoop e i o ki a...........a winner.......a steenking winner.......ala........look at me, i had a good call.......so i will answer them in ADVANCE......"son, i cant tell you how proud i am of your win......sell the sob.......oops that would be a #5"....."you say its going higher?......pennies?..........SELL IT on the way up and as it hits the stratosphere, you'll be ALL OUT"
ok i digressed:
1. open up an account that allows you to flip stocks....there are some out there.......
2. join a chat room......yeah, we have one, but i dont care if you join ours or not, thats not what this message is about.....join ANY chat room that plays big boards......what you are looking for is LIVE ACTION......messageboards and blogs arent enough, imo
3. STUDY STUDY STUDY.......i am going to be updating this board to accomodate more big boards and probably remove some of the junk regarding pennies.......http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=7267
4. even with a smaller portfolio, if you are not making AT LEAST 150-200 a day, you are missing out on a golden opportunity......if your portolio is larger, you are probably missing out on THOUSANDS per day on a good day and 500-1000 on a bad day......i can give you dozens of stories of traders that got their butts handed to em and finally saw the light that it was NOT gonna get any better until they did something different and the 'difference' was NOT some other penny.pos...they needed a whole new ballgame.....and in some cases a brand new stadium!!!!!
5. when big board stock pulls back, like what we are experiencing now.......it an amazing thing.......it doesnt go to -0-.......you actually can sell it and still recoup something.....
6. when a big board stock runs.......if the news is good.....it will actually run more than 45 seconds.
7. you will NEVER have to call a transfer agent again!
8. you will NEVER have to send a private to someone with these words.."hey ihububba....you hearing anything about DIRT, i am starting to get a lil concerned.....what happened to the volume?"
9. you will NEVER have to post "DIRT is done"
10. your emotions will swing dramatically to POSITIVE.....and yeah, you CANNOT trade WITHOUT emotions......forget about all the crap you read about that.......if you have any kind of skin in the game you WILL be emotional.......make no mistake about that........anyone that tell you different is either lying or flipping very small amounts........
overview: if you put the same amount of time, energy, 'due diligence', studying, etc, into big board plays ....that you put into pennies.......you'll increase your income MULTIFOLD......if you were losing your butt and bleeding continually by playing pennies.......i will GUARANTEE.......YOU will learn to win AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
YOU can do this!!!!!!!!!
Good Sir, can you make that chart option post as a sticky. Its a new Ihub feature all you have to is go to your manage board and enter the message number.
If you need a hand, lol pardon the pun. I will help as a mod when i can.
xbig thanks for your efforts to help!!

I bet the lord is smilling from heaven!!!!
Very nice video, first it looked as if the two bucks were going to go after it. Then the missed opportunity for the doe/buck combo LOL Wow, havent had buck fever in a while. For those reading whom have never hunted that video camera alone in that situation is priceless. Old football coach use to call hunting "A high you cant buy" Pretty much sums it up.
Picked a good week to be gone btw...I am just watching mainly, but by golly the room is picking a few quick winners even in this messy market.

Go Uncle Mikey Geaux!!
Mikey. The financials have been great flippers the past few months and i plan to continue to squeeze every last dime that i can get out of them but i think it time to be looking for the next hot sector. I am going to try to put together a list of dependable and predictable (if there is such a thing lol)ABK type of stocks in the 1.50 to 3.00 range that we can radar daily for a quick flip. If anybody would like to add to this list please feel free to post them here. I would also like to add that i recieve many pm's daily asking me what about stock _ _ _ _ My first question to them is what is your average ? I find that more times then not these folks had a chance to get out green but instead held in hopes of hitting a home run and now they are red on a stock that may or may not come back. Folks i am here to tell you from Many years of experience that these home runs happen less all of the time Take your profits a get out DONT merry these stocks Get out and look for a re entry point.IF you are down on the stock take your losses and move on put the remainder of the money in something else that will make you money not continue to loose money. Play the chart, play the play, Play the day, Play resistance and support and as X says join a chat room and pay attn, It don't take long to wade through the bs you will learn very quickly who's calls to follow and who to ignore. If you follow these rules and stick with them i will guarantee you that you you will increase your odds of winning in todays ever changing markets.
A Walk Through on how to find other stocks in a sector........CLNE is the stock i am going to use as my template........yeah, its tboones.. http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=clne click industry left hand side........then click........View Gas Utilities Industry Center http://biz.yahoo.com/ic/912.html then click View Industry Browser......right hand side........http://biz.yahoo.com/p/912conameu.html
check it out, baby.........who loves ya?......lol

Thanks, xbigshot1. I'm adding this to my favorites.

Gotcha...here's a list of all non-compliant AMEX stocks--updated daily...the ones with the .bc are below listing criteria price wise....there are some that have been on the list for quite some time...
http://www.amex.com/atamex/regulation/listingStatus/index.jsp
GLTU
THANKS.. going to get deeper into it tonight after work.
real
Hey Frankie...here are the listing requirements...
http://www.amex.com/equities/howToLst/eq_HTL_ListStandards.html
Part 10 of the Amex Guide deals with suspensions/delistings:see below link:
http://wallstreet.cch.com/AMEX/CompanyGuide/
the following deals with a PPS under the listing requirement:
(v) Low Selling Price Issues—In the case of a common stock selling for a substantial period of time at a low price per share, if the issuer shall fail to effect a reverse split of such shares within a reasonable time after being notified that the Exchange deems such action to be appropriate under all the circumstances. In its review of the question of whether it deems a reverse split of a given issue to be appropriate, the Exchange will consider all pertinent factors including, market conditions in general, the number of shares outstanding, plans which may have been formulated by management, applicable regulations of the state or country of incorporation or of any governmental agency having jurisdiction over the issuer, the relationship to other Exchange policies regarding continued listing, and, in respect of securities of foreign issuers, the general practice in the country of origin of trading in low-selling price issues.
I got a question.. i cannot find the answer yet. Is the AMEX like the NAZ, in that if the pps drops below a threshold amount a company is delisted?
real
Hey xbig, you did some great trading on FRE today, congrats !
All In My Opinion.
the VERY BEST traders i know are WRONG 30-35% of the time......if you are "following" some goober on a messageboard who never admits to making a bad trade........he's not telling you the whole story!
LOL, I figured that but I couldn't resist in case it was true.
Dak...It was a joke my friend....if you read it carefully..I was comparing it to X's golf game...no way in hell he makes all pars! LOL I have had many losses! If you haven't then you are probably not telling the truth!
lol, dak.....if he offers strokes per hole......take em....lol
BAAAAAAAAAALONEY........you should see some of the dogs he got me in........lolol
Cajunrich, congrats friend, that means you are a very careful and studious trader.
I have never had a bad trade this year..... its Kinda like you make all pars on the golf course!
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm key = I/O :)
AUTHORIZED vs ISSUED/OUTSTANDING vs FLOAT vs RESTRICTED
time for an uncle mikey talk:
i did a random check on about 10-12 messageboards in the last few days. i cannot believe some of the junk that i am reading regarding share structure.....below are a couple of links that may help you..
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/a/authorizedstock.asp The maximum number of shares that a corporation is legally permitted to issue, as specified in its articles of incorporation. This figure is usually listed in the capital accounts section of the balance sheet.
Also known as "authorized shares" or "authorized capital stock".
This number can be changed only by a vote of all the shareholders. Management will typically keep the number of authorized shares higher than those actually issued. This allows the company to sell more shares if it needs to raise additional funds.
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/o/outstandingshares.asp stock currently held by investors, including restricted shares owned by the company's officers and insiders, as well as those held by the public. Shares that have been repurchased by the company are not considered outstanding stock.
Also referred to as "issued and outstanding" if all repurchased shares have been retired.
This number is shown on a company's balance sheet under the heading "Capital Stock" and is more important than the authorized shares or float. It is used to calculate many metrics, including market capitalization and earnings per share (EPS).
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/r/restrictedstock.asp Insider holdings that are under some other kind of sales restriction. Restricted stock must be traded in compliance with special SEC regulations.
Also referred to as "Letter Stock."
Insiders are given restricted stock after merger and acquisition activity, underwriting activity, and affiliate ownership in order to prevent premature selling that might adversely affect the company. Restricted stock cannot be sold without registration with the SEC (under the Securities Act of 1933)or some other special exemption.
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/f/float.asp The total number of shares publicly owned and available for trading. The float is calculated by subtracting restricted shares from outstanding shares.
Also known as "free float".
For example, a company may have 10 million outstanding shares, but only seven million are trading on the stock market. Therefore, this company's float would be seven million.
Stocks with small floats of less than seven million shares tend to be a lot more volatile than others.
-------------------------------------------------------------
here is an example i made up to show the relevance of a/s i/o res float
a/s..........25,000,000,000,000,000....this number is not that important
*i/o..........150,000,000<<<<this is your key number
restricted.. 50,000,000<<<<and if you have this
float........100,000,000 <<<<THIS is EVEN better
if there are NO restricted shares....the FLOAT is the I/O(issued/outstanding}
so lets see how good you read, lol.....what is the *key number again?.......
*key number
(if it is a pink sheet stock, you MUST get information DIRECTLY from the transfer agent as to the i/o,res, float---DO NOT ACCEPT THE WORD OF THE COMPANY, OR PINKSHEETS--if they REFUSE to give that information then you are playing with fire....end of story)
IF the company is fully reporting.....the ONLY way to raise the ISSUED and outstanding is by a registration filing......
i hope this clears up some of the confusion......i am of the opinion that too many of our brethern are bigtime confused on this issue.....
have a great evening
mikey
Mikey, let me/us know what turns up in the Chinese scans.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=12691
how i overcame TRADERS BLOCK a few months ago!
thats right i said a few months ago......hmmmmm somewhere around thanksgiving/christmas 07......had made some of the dumbest trades possibly, i found myself doing just about the opposite of what i should have been doing, when i was buying, i should have been selling, when i was selling i should have been buying....i was up to my waist in "should"....the smell was horrible....thank goodness my semiannual allergy probs kicked in and i couldnt smell the stench any more, so that helped a lil, lol
i somehow managed to get back up to my knees and manged to clear out every pos* i had become an "investor" in, and every stock that i had decided i was going to hold for the "longer term".....ok, so i finally got this all done and now i am back to all square, albeit, quite a bit lower than i had envisioned going into the fall season......wth happened in oct and nov?, others were doing ok, at least........but for some strange reason i was on the outside looking in......ok i am back to cash.....ready to go......lets rock......mikey is ready to roll, let light this candle, we are ready BABYYYYYYYYY lets geaux.....ok, here is an intereting one....stock symbol: DIRT(generic symbol)......yep, chart looks pretty good, they are starting to get some news out, within 10-15% of the bottom, getting attenion on m/boards, chat, etc......lets buy this puppy!!!!.......buy this puppy!!!!!......its a buy......buy it.....mikey.........buy.......look at level 2, the 2's are going quick.......mikey....wth are you gonna do?......damn, the 2's are gone......i'll wait for a pullback, it'll happen....25......28.......uh oh, bb added 26, wth??......3....32......35......38....4, oh the humanity, a steeenking double?..38...35....32...ahhhhhh i knew the damn thing would pull back,,,,,,i was right!!!!! told ya!!
i couldnt/wouldnt pull the trigger.......happened dozens of times.......watched as others made money and i didnt.....i could NOT pull the trigger, and this happened many many times in a one month period.....i had basically LOST everything that i had learned in 10 years of online trading, i had remembered how to lose and forgot how to win! i was a damn loser and i deserved whatever seeds i had sown........whatta ya mean the mortgage is due, i am in a crisis here, wife, leave me along!!!!!!
i had to do something and pretty damn quick.....i had to break that death grip,,,,,,,,i had to do SOMETHING DIFFERENT.......AGAIN.....(ok maybe its happened before)
so here is what I did......i tried 5 consecutive winning trades....i didnt care how much money i made either ..i played with minimal amounts, each time....i had to LEARN HOW TO WIN........AGAIN.........your parameters may be different but thats what i had to do for me..........2 in a row didnt work for me.....pfffffffft .....or 3.......or 4.....for me: i needed 5 in a row......i remember i started this endeavor on a monday, by the following wednesday i was back, i had my confidence back, i had made a couple hundred bucks, i could think again, i could sleep again, i was no longer a mental, bipolar, schizoid, neurotic, walking, breathing, a**hole to those around me, and more importantly i could see the light at the end of the dang tunnel.....and trust me on this, if i can do it, YOU can do.......things are much better now, and i guard against these mistakes a lil closer now......but all of my lil 'crosses to bear' will prolly jump up and bite me on my lil butt again, and i will have no problem sharing them with our newer brethern, if it will make YOU a better trader........
mikey
Are you a TRADER or a POSTER?
so far in 2008, we've had a decent year, started off with a bang hit resistance and then fell back to support levels in fact dropped a lil below it.......last few weeks have seen renewed interest in our lil market...the plays are there for the taking
however i have noticed that the armchair quarterbacks are alive and well on the various threads, and for whatever reason are attracting new recruits. I have no problem with that, other than to beg the question: how do you make money bashing a stock? i dont get it! true enough when we take a whipping on one, a lil ventilation is probably good for the soul, i should know, i have done it often......but what i STILL cannot figure out is the WHY some guys CONTINUALLY beat the living hell out of some dog that has run and fallen apart.....i cant speak for others, but 99% of the time, i'll tell you what i have done wrong when i bash: I MISPLAYED THE STOCK......end of story!.......i have never ever ever ever seen anyone ADMIT this other than myself.........what the hell am i missing?.......the very best traders i know are WRONG 35-40% of the time, and chances are good you arent in that category, i know i am not! are you worried about credibilty?......membermarks a concern?.....afraid you will not be loved and respected anymore? forget about all that........go where the action is: look at the top company boards, check out the most read, how about the most posted?......wait for that stock to pull back and give it a whirl at that point IF it still has some upside. quit buying these stocks AFTER they are up and there's a lot of noise on it, you should be selling the noise, not buying it......you BUY the silence........lets geauxxxxx, get smarter about your trading, finding every available piece of dirt on a company will NOT make you a DIME!!!!!!
really nice site submitted by dak77....http://www.mysmp.com/technical-analysis/candlestick-charts-stars.html
There are plenty of boards that Breakout members have here at Ihub.
Hey kermit..go here also..Sheesh..Mikey just stared this board awhile back.. http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=4203
Ok, here I am now. Entertain me.
j/k, boardmark 88. MAKE ME MONEY!!!!
Not really kidding.
My privilege to be boardmark number 78 . This type of board is long overdue . I will recommend it whenever I see a poster whose market comprehension is inadequate .

Once you get in the chat room, just sit in the back of the room and listen. You will hear all of the brokers discussed from time to time. Pros and cons.
Bill and Xbigshot have provided a wonderful resource here.

I have an account with etrade. It's ok if your not buying and selling very much. Would like to kick it up a notch on my trading. Can you suggest a cheaper online broker. Thanks, 2b

Man that video is so awesome. What a shock when he started singing.
Thank you Mikey!! Have very much enjoyed your leadership in the Chat room the few weeks I have been there. What an excellent resource. I have also made every mistake out there.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS BOARD IS SIMPLE: to try to educate our novice and new traders! I am astounded at some of the messages that i see written on some boards. It is quite obvious, that some of our brethern have no idea what they are doing, and more importantly, dont even know where to look to find information.
I am going to be asking some of the better traders to "throw down" some of their better LINKS to success in the otcbb market......
the link can be technical, fundamental, news, filings, etc....i simply dont care what link is posted as long as its applicable to trading!
i am going to encourage all new traders to use some of these links in their everyday trading and in some cases, there will probably be some great information in that link, as well!
no offtopic posts will be allowed! no posting on stocks will be allowed! no pumping will be allowed! no bashing will be allowed!
i would ask posters to follow the format that i use in post number 1.........in the subject, spell out what the link refers to and in the body........post the link!
this board is primarily for use by anyone, but we are trying to help the newbie/rookie.....i think we are coming into otc season... its upon us... and we want to give our newer friends every possible resource that they can find!
