Online Publisher Realizes Financial Gains and as Much as 48% Increase in Site Traffic After Using Limelight's Combined Video and Website Management and Delivery Services
Especially Publishers like HBO, Netflix, ESPN, and Sky News Arabia, Global 2000 enterprises and ecommerce companies such as Swiss Re, Eloqua, QVC, Swatch, and Barilla Pasta, and public sector organizations including the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Army, NASA, and the Cleveland Health Clinic leverage Limelight's integrated cloud-based applications and globally distributed computing platform to efficiently manage their complete digital presence across web, mobile, and social channels.

TEMPE, Ariz., March 29, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Limelight Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:LLNW - News) today announced that customer Vance Publishing Corporation has successfully re-launched its long line of business-to-business websites with the help of three Limelight cloud-based services: Limelight Dynamic Site Platform (LDSP), Limelight Video Platform (LVP) and Limelight content delivery services. With more than three dozen websites in all, Vance Publishing is now rapidly increasing traffic and revenue through its improved ability to publish, manage, deliver, and monetize content on the Limelight SaaS platform.
The promise of an integrated workflow was a critical factor in Vance's decision to select Limelight as a service provider. By managing content from a single repository, the Vance team has been able to increase its publishing frequency and improve its opportunities for advertising and sponsorship. Whether the team is posting a new story or uploading a video, everything can be managed from one integrated dashboard. Changes are synched across the Limelight Dynamic Site Platform and the Limelight Video Platform. Vance Publishing also has more flexibility now to insert pre-roll and post-roll videos ads, as well as to host and track premium content behind a registration wall.
In addition, Limelight content delivery services are baked in with Limelight Dynamic Site Platform and Limelight Video Platform, ensuring that all content is smoothly transported across the Internet -- and Limelight's own private fiber network -- for the highest quality end-user experience no matter how large the audience may grow.
"Rather than employ disparate point solutions, Vance realized the strategic benefit of leveraging one fully integrated digital content management system," notes David Hatfield, Senior Vice President, Limelight Networks. "With over three dozen content-heavy websites, Vance needs a solution that is fast and intuitive. Limelight's easy-to-use cloud-based services speeds internal processes and give Vance the tools they need to drive site traffic and online revenue."
After transitioning to the Limelight Dynamic Site Platform, Vance increased overall traffic to 4.3 million unique visitors in 2011, with some of its sites growing by as much as 48% compared to 2010. Across all of its sites, Vance has also increased website advertising by as much as 177%.
"When we decided to shift away from an on-premise content management system, we evaluated many different vendor solutions," said Dean Horowitz, Vice President, eMedia & Market Intelligence of Vance Publishing Corporation. "Limelight Networks met all of our platform criteria and offered a roadmap for product development that promised to support our needs in the future. For example, we knew that video would become increasingly important to our business, so the fact that Limelight could help us with internal and external video assets, handle user-generated video, and aid us in driving new mobile video initiatives was very appealing. We also honed in on Limelight's analytics capabilities, which allow for contextually targeted content, so we can focus on delivering the content that our audiences want most."
Beyond video integration and analytics, the Vance team has cited several other features that make Limelight's cloud-based offerings ideal for its needs. These include the ability to generate photo galleries and polls, reference and syndicate content across multiple sites, leverage website templates for customer microsites, and plug analytics data into the company's own lead-generation programs.
Above all, the integrated workflow combining traditional content management with a robust online video platform has proven valuable to Vance. Says Horowitz:
"We're obsessed with ensuring workflow does not get in the way of us sharing compelling and timely content. We want our editors to think about audience first, and not the process they have to go through to publish new information. Limelight Networks helps us make that happen."
Publishers like HBO, Netflix, ESPN, and Sky News Arabia, Global 2000 enterprises and ecommerce companies such as Swiss Re, Eloqua, QVC, Swatch, and Barilla Pasta, and public sector organizations including the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Army, NASA, and the Cleveland Health Clinic leverage Limelight's integrated cloud-based applications and globally distributed computing platform to efficiently manage their complete digital presence across web, mobile, and social channels.

Agreed...I'm hoping for +$5 per share here glty and ttyl:)
Thanks for your input. I think the future looks bright for Limelight.
It's been in one heck of an uptrend for a while now bud...so if you can snag some partial profit around 4 bucks here to lower your risk go for it imo since clearly there's still a lot of profit takers around this level despite the cont'd accumulation glty
I hope the selling is done for now.
Tons of profit taking kicked in today Carrera and they finally overwhelmed all the new buyers glty

*If the earnings date is in error please ignore error. I do my best.
Excellent point and perfect rationalization for the recent accumulation wave agreed Rain!!!
I plan to be out of this one a day or two before earnings are released. The play here was the run up ahead of LLNW and Akami's earnings reports. Akami did their job, now hopefully we get the people trying to front run big earnings here driving this one up higher.
Agreed thnx for the heads up on akamai weeeeeeeeeee
Gapping up pre market here, we look golden for another big day.
Listening to Akamai's earnings now Rainmaker:

CONGRATZ buddy...took about 6 months but our 2.18 entry last august finally begining to pay cha-ching>>>$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Have no clue how much longer this accumulation wave will continue Carrera but was convinced from watching the action play out here since last august that this would hit 4 bucks per share which it did this mornin' so am ridin' freebies now and seein' how the rest of this week plays out k glty
Thnx for the info Rainmaker will add Akami to radar now and ecstatic that LLNW's accumulators pushed us thru $4 weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
$4 it is but all eyes will turn to Akami's earnings report after the bell today. No idea what to look for in relation to LLNW but I would assume they will be looking to see growth in the area's where Akami cut their pricing to be the same as LLNW's pricing. Growth in these areas would be bad for LLNW, would mean Akami denting LLNW's sales. Now Akami just has a blow out quarter and people feel good about this space in general you could see a nice pop here in the AM. As I said all eyes on Akami since they are this sectors bellweather market leader and how Akami goes, so goes this space.
How high do you expect it to go? Any idea? I just started following this stock, but the chart looks good for the long term.
4 bucks almost here weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Fantastic Carrera let's break into the +$4 range and see if we can really catch some lightnin' over the next several weeks glty!!!
Woohoo excellent news thnx Rainmaker!
News: Limelight Networks(R) Launches Limelight Deploy as Managed CDN Platform for Network Operators, Access Networks, Content Aggregators, and Enterprises
Company Also Announces Bell Canada as a Customer
TEMPE, Ariz., Feb 7, 2012 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Limelight Networks, Inc.
(LLNW) ("Limelight") today announced the formal launch of Limelight Deploy, a
Managed CDN Platform offering. Limelight Deploy enables network operators, access
networks, content aggregators, and enterprises to gain control over the rapidly
increasing content on their networks and quickly deploy revenue-generating CDN
services integrated with a rich set of cloud-based services such as website and
application acceleration, storage, web and video management. Customers can also
choose to leverage the world's 7th largest network and one of the world's only
global, proven, at-scale CDNs.
Network operators are looking to reduce costs, quickly expand their service
offerings and generate new revenue streams due to increasing competition from an
ever expanding roster of competing services from access networks, content
aggregators, and enterprises. Most importantly, as the demand for content
continues to grow, operators are seeking to leverage their network investments by
gaining more control over the flow of content across their network
infrastructure. CDN services offer these operators the opportunity to reduce the
costs of the content explosion, leverage their network infrastructure investments
and evolve their service mix beyond their rapidly commoditizing traditional
markets to provide new services such as website and application acceleration,
storage, web and video management on a global scale to rapidly generate revenue
and increase margins.
"The Content Delivery Network solution that we developed in partnership with
Limelight Networks has helped us address our business customers' growing need to
deliver a broad range of rich, high-quality content to their online audiences,
including streaming video, audio, and images," said Jeremy Wubs, Vice-President
-- Product Management, Bell Business Markets. "As Limelight's exclusive Canadian
partner, our CDN solutions are also helping businesses offer the best possible
user experience with increased website reliability and performance."
Limelight Deploy bridges the gap between other CDN solutions on the market today.
Out-of-the-box solutions provide a CDN without bringing any network expertise,
while licensed CDN offerings elongate the time to revenue as they place the full
burden of deploying and managing the CDN on the customer from day one. In
contrast, a managed solution by Limelight Deploy offers a range of service levels
and a professional services team with a decade of experience, to help the
provider reduce costs managing content on their network and generate revenue
quickly by focusing on selling and participating in a proven migration path to
operator control. In the case of a complete managed CDN implementation,
Limelight's proprietary CDN solution is deployed within the customer's
infrastructure giving the operator control over the CDN solution deployed within
its network.
Built on a private-network implementation where more than 85 percent of the
traffic is delivered off the public Internet to ensure a high QoS for customers
and content, Limelight Deploy provides customers a white-labeled CDN solution
using proven Limelight CDN technology, cloud-based software-as-a service
capability, and technical expertise. The offering can be deployed in a range of
options for the provider's CDN servers, deployed on the provider's servers or
hosted on Limelight, and customized to best match the provider's skill set,
existing network operations, desired level of control, and financial objectives.
Limelight Deploy offers access to Limelight cloud-based services that deliver
access to new revenue streams and the workflow to solve today's complex content
publishing challenges, including mobile publishing, cloud storage, and video
management. Limelight cloud-based services such as Limelight Reach, Limelight
Video Platform, Limelight Dynamic Site Platform, and Limelight Accelerate help
providers drive their CDN service offerings and expand margins.
"Limelight has provided custom managed content delivery network platform
offerings for the past five years, successfully helping our customers enter the
CDN market, and Limelight Deploy is the result of the best practices from that
experience," said Peter Coppola, Vice President of Products at Limelight. "Key to
its success has been as a managed service offering, which provides the immediacy,
flexibility, scale and reliability that enables customers to reduce costs and
offer new services quickly, generating new revenue streams, and decreasing
margins on existing service offerings."
Limelight Deploy offers:
--Efficient, fast, multi-format caching--Web caching for HTTP, HTTPS,
Flash, and Windows Media with market proven scale for local delivery
--Advanced management and reporting services--detailed insight into
content delivery activities
--Innovative services that solve real problems--a portfolio of services
designed to work together to solve complex content publishing workflow
challenges
