Liht is a publicly traded company, investing in the medical and recreational cannabis space. Our operations are based out of British Columbia, Canada.

The Company owns 40 acres of land in Celista, BC., a community located on Shuswap Lake. Plans allow for a build-out of 100,000 sq. feet of cannabis cultivation. Unique technologies will be implemented to maximize the yield of organic product, reduce the cost of production while maintaining minimum impact to the environment. ACMPR application is at the review stage.
Las Vegas, Nevada
The Company owns 7 acres of industrial land in North Las Vegas, Nevada, and has both medical and recreational licenses to build up to 300,000 sq. feet of cannabis cultivation space, including 16,000sq feet of processing. The first phase of construction is complete, and production is underway. Phase 2 is construction of a 65,000 sq. foot building, Phase 3 the completion of the remaining footprint.
The Company owns 2 properties approved for cannabis cultivation, in Desert Hot Springs, California. Total build-out will create approximately 50,000 sq. feet of cannabis cultivation and processing space. All approvals and permits are in place. In addition, Liht owns an operational dispensary with state approval for both medical and recreational sales.
The Company is closing on the purchase of 13.8 acres of cannabis-zoned property in Lynden, Washington. The largest building on the property is 30,000 sq. feet. It has been renovated to meet state energy code and is leased to a Tier 3 licensed producer. The license-holder also has a license for processing cannabis with unlimited sq. footage.
The Company owns a hemp and botanical oil product-line which will be launched shortly. The products are produced in small batches to ensure quality. Test market response to the products has been very favorable with participants wanting to promptly re-order.
Officers and Directors
Rahim Mohamed, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Rahim Mohamed has over 20 years’ experience in the business sector and has served in the capacities of President, CEO and Internal Auditor for multiple private and public companies. Mr. Mohamed is a director of APPx Group Holdings Inc. (“APPx”) and AGAU Resources Inc. APPx is a fintech incubator that develops proprietary software and mobile applications such as CatchCoin and APPxPay. APPx also develops custom blockchain solutions and has their own cryptocurrency mining division.
Mr. Mohamed holds a degree in (Management) Commerce from Athabasca University in Calgary. He received his Exempt Market Products Certification in 2010 and is a current member of the Exempt Market Dealers Association of Canada. For several years Mr. Mohamed was a General Manager at IR Consultants Inc., where he provided expertise in handling major investor relations, media relations and financings with subject matter experts and key decision-makers at all levels of matrixed organizations.
He has a solid background in the development and execution of successful strategic communication plans, high-impact communication initiatives and effective operational processes for the rapid delivery of corporate alignment and improvements. Mr. Mohamed’s frequent business travel has accrued him extensive exposure to cross-cultural dynamics and international business practices in Asia, Africa, Europe, Middle East, Caribbean and North America.
Hanspaul Pannu, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Pannu is tasked with managing and overseeing all financial matters for Liht. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant with a strong business acumen to go along with his skillset. Mr. Pannu has worked in the Canadian small cap public company space for over 5 years providing financial reporting, corporate secretary, listing and general accounting support. He is also Chief Financial Officer of APPx Group Holdings Inc. (CSE:APPX), a Fin Tech and mobile application company and Sharc International Systems Inc. (CSE:SHRC), a wastewater heat recovery system manufacturer.
Mr. Pannu has also held senior financial positions with LED Medical Diagnostics Inc. (TSX-V:LMD), Aequus Pharmaceuticals Inc. (TSX-V:AQS, OTCQB:AQSZF), Veritas Pharma Inc. (CSE:VRT), and Blok Technologies Inc. (CSE:BLK).
Linda Sampson, President and Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Sampson brings a dynamic energy, a wealth of talent, and a multi-layered business expertise to the Company. She is a business start-up professional, with a history of ground-up to successful ventures. An accomplished sales professional, marketer, designer, developer, with international experience, she brings superior business branding skills and internal administrative talents to Liht.
Linda has been with the Company from its inception and has been ‘hands on’ in every aspect of its business. Navigating the regulatory waters in different jurisdictions and embracing the constant shifting of a brand new market, she considers it a privilege to be a part of this historic emerging industry.
Corey Klassen, VP of Corporate Development and Director
Mr. Klassen has a strong financing background and more than 20 years of business development management experience for major Canadian financial institutions, mortgage brokerage firms and publicly traded companies. Corey is the owner of a successful mortgage brokerage and was recently recognized as one of the top 75 brokers in Canada by CMP Magazine.
As a director and advisor for various junior companies over the past several years, his financial background and expertise provides considerable experience with public companies where he has been instrumental in numerous capital raising ventures inclusive of medical marijuana companies.
Mr. Richard Huhn, Director
Mr. Huhn has over 15 years experience in project management, development, planning, design and construction of gold, palladium, platinum and rhodium mines in Western Canada, optimizing the life of mine production.
In 2016, Mr. Huhn established Full Circle PGM Innovations to focus on a series of mining ventures incorporating proprietary and innovative technologies to achieve fine gold and PGM extractions resulting in the ability to extract on a nano-soluble level.
Management Advisory Board
Dr. Paul Hornby:
Mr. Hornby, of Hedron Analytical Inc. is Canada’s cannabis expert. He has celebrated more than 30 years of experience studying herbs and supplements in human systems. With a doctorate degree in human pathology, Dr. Hornby has conducted research projects with Inuit in the Canadian Arctic, fishermen on India’s south coast and Mangyan people in the mountains of Mindoro, Philippines.
For the past eighteen years, he has focused his attention on cannabis, and for that time has attempted to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of the plant. By creating the first standardized natural product cannabis medicine in a capsule, Dr. Hornby has pioneered the way toward cannabis becoming a mainstream herbal medicine. “I do not synthesize or highly purify any of the plant components, but study them together; their synergy (entourage), activity and mechanism of action.” Dr. Hornby has published numerous scientific and lay articles on various aspects of cannabis medicine.
Mr. Josef Tyls:
Dr. Tyls is the Industrial Engineering Chief Technology Officer of Total Innovative Solutions Corporation and the President of Tyls Dynamic Systems and TDS Engineering. Mr. Tyls designs, develops and prototypes development and evaluation, testing, patent writing, and data acquisition for market deployment of new devices and technology production for environmental processes and systems. It is his fundamental principles to develop industrial systems that center upon energy efficiency, waste control elimination, environmental safety, waste recovery and or recycling, water processing, recovery and waste water management utilizing oxidative systems and specific methods of optimization to maximize cost efficiencies.
In 1993, Dr. Tyls incorporated Ozonifier Industries Inc., with Dr. Carlos Fenton Mason, D. Sc. Ozonifier sold internationally medical grade ozone generators, which Dr. Tyles designed. Dr. Tyls has developed a high voltage Tesla type hybrid, Rife frequency machine named “E-Thera-P” for use in therapeutic conditions relating to soft tissue damage and trauma. He also developed a proprietary process to hyper oxygenate and stabilize olive oil for skin wound therapy, which is marketed by Global Healing Center of Houston, Texas. He has lectured on the subject of ozone and its creation by way of “Cold Plasma” Generation for 3 years, educating naturopathic physicians in North America including the Canadian society of Naturopaths.
Mr. Gabriel Cipes:
Mr. Cipes was appointed as Head of Quality Assurance for Liht Cannabis on October 3, 2018. He is the VP of Summerhill Pyramid Winery and Bio-Dynamic Agricultural Society of British Columbia, and a Director of Demeter Canada and the Certified Organic Associations of British Columbia. Summerhill Pyramid Winery is one of the largest certified organic wineries in Canada. In 2010, Mr. Cipes created the bio-dynamic and permaculture department at this winery, which has been a major aspect of Summerhill’s Organic branding and story. As a result, Summerhill Pyramid Winery achieved the first certified Demeter vineyard in western Canada.
Mr. Cipes serves on several organic and biodynamic certification boards such as, Demeter Canada, the Biodynamic Associations of BC (BDASBC) and the Certified Organic Associations of BC (COABC) where he provides oversight for all Certification Bodies (CB`s) in BC and oversees certification programs, Canadian Organic Regime (COR) and the BC Certified Organic Program (BCCOP). As reported by news release on October 2, 2018, Mr. Cipes was appointed as Head of Quality Assurance for the Canadian entity.
Mr. Desmond Balakrishnan, BA, LL.B:
Mr. Balakrishnan has been a Partner at the Vancouver office of McMillan LLP, since 2004. His areas of practice focus on mergers, acquisitions, listed company maintenance, international public listings, gaming, and entertainment law.
Mr. Balakrishnan is a member of the Vancouver Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association and the International Masters of Gaming Law. He holds CLA from Simon Fraser University. Mr. Balakrishnan graduated from Simon Fraser University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts and from the University of Alberta in 1997 with an LL.B (with distinction) and was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 1998.
Mr. Herman Dekker:
Mr. Dekker holds degrees in Agricultural Science and in Technology (Netherlands). With more than 35 years of experience and expertise in managing and operating agricultural businesses in both the Netherlands and Canada and experience in commercial vermiculture for fertilizer production. Mr. Dekker brings expertise in plant nutrition, as well as vermiculture, crop production. An experienced and knowledgeable practitioner, Mr. Dekker has also served industry boards, including the Zeeland Dairy Producers Association, the Zeeland Herb & Flower Growers and as an advisor to the BC Broiler Hatching Egg Commission.
Mr. John Mathews, Ford Motor Company Engineering UK
Mr. Matthews, a well-skilled practical designer with over 40 years of production and development of numerous industrial devices and systems utilized by corporations in both the UK and North America. Mr. Mathews developed skills in high volume precision engineering becoming a proficient designer with over 20 years of Solidworks 3D computer modeling and designing. This experience has enabled him to master numerous engineering disciplines along with extensive work experience helping companies increase their bottom line by applying JIT to the business.
His ability to apply his acquired knowledge has led him to the design of various patented components improving performance in transportation, aquaponic systems, and numerous other applied time-saving devices. He was instrumental in the development of a Gasification Unit (wood waste) with a pulse burner designed for both burning of SIN-Gas waste to Energy systems.
Ms. Anne Sanders, Senior Managing Director of ecoGROW Corporation
From 2005 to present Ms. Sanders extensive tenure as President and Director of ecoTECH Energy Group, Inc. and Senior Managing Director of ecoGROW Corporation has provided her with extensive knowledge and valuable experience in a wide spectrum of complex scientific, ecological and energy technologies.
ecoTECH and ecoGROW were founded on the principles of sustainability, science and ethics to address environmental, economic and health problems facing modern food/biomass production chains in agriculture, silviculture, viticulture, horticulture, aquaculture and animal breeding. ecoGROW strives to produce soil amendments which assist in establishing not only optimal soil, crop, and human health, but also optimal ecosystems health.
ecoGROW Corporation mitigates these risks by developing innovative products, which incorporate mineral, microbial and waste management technologies. The company continues to develop innovative products to address the 8 most common risks associated with modern and unsustainable food/biomass production practices: Energy security, Food security, Climate change, Soil infertility and toxicity due to chemical fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides, Viral and bacterial disease transmission and odor generation in animal breeding, Environmental pollution (heavy metals, N, P, e-coli, salmonella from fertilizers and manure application), Plant growth promotion and Human health and modern disease reduction.
Kurt Keating, Director of US Operations
Kurt Keating brings with him a dynamic skill set based on experience in multiple industries. Currently Kurt is an i-502 tier three license holder in Washington State and recently Kurt worked as an owner/operator of PhenoType Farmers LLC, a High Times Cannabis Cup winning, true living organic, medical cannabis company based in Washington State. Kurt is truly passionate about this industry, looking to grow the cleanest and highest quality product possible.
Previously, Kurt worked as a consultant for Slalom Consulting. He provided consultation for a wide array of companies and non-profit foundations, such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Nintendo of America, Holland America Cruise Lines and Pacific Market International. He also has had a long career as a Sr. Functional and Financial Analyst for Starbucks Coffee Company.
Randy Kolibaba – Security Professional Consultant
Randy Kolibaba is a results-driven senior executive having distinguished service in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the United Nations. He has had proven success promoting; efficiency, growth and profitability in diversified policing and protective services, combined with extensive international expertise. Noted for abilities in leadership, Threat/Risk assessment, Vulnerability analysis, Disaster Planning and Management, Major Crimes investigations, Project management, Strategic Planning, Workplace safety, Employee development and Change management, Diversified uniform and plain clothes background that includes general duty patrol and investigation, road safety and traffic law enforcement, Nationally recognized First Nations policing experience. Legally trained and appointed by the Federal Court of Canada as an adjudicator for the RCMP, extensive command experience at the non-commissioned and commissioned officer level.
He has established expertise in labour relations. Randy has received numerous awards including the Queens Diamond Jubilee medal for Outstanding Service to Canada (2012), Canada 125 Medal for Outstanding Service to Canada’s First Nations (1994), Canadian Peacekeeping Medal (2000), United Nations Peacekeeping Medal (Kosovo 2000) as well as an RCMP Long Service Medal.
Rene Wolfe, Corporate Secretary
Rene has over 25 years of corporate office experience and has been an integral part of the Liht Management Team for the past two years. She is a highly skilled organizer who has the proven ability to seamlessly coordinate all business details to meet tight deadlines, in this fast-paced work environment. Rene is committed to the success of Liht, and the Company looks forward to the continuance of her strong management skills and top-level support to executives, staff and shareholders.
