Level 3's security solutions provide layers of defense through enhanced network routing, rate limiting and filtering that can be paired with advanced network-based detection and mitigation scrubbing center solutions. All of Level 3's security solutions benefit from the global threat intelligence derived from the company's expansive view of the threat landscape. The opening of the São Paulo scrubbing center arrives on the heels of the launch of Level 3's European Security Operations Center, located in London. In 2016, Level 3 will continue to expand its global security offerings and functionality.
Key Facts:
Level 3 DDoS Mitigation Service is carrier agnostic and pulls customer traffic into Level 3's globally located scrubbing centers for cleansing before forwarding legitimate traffic through a private connection or the public Internet.
The company's vast DDoS ingest capacity, 4.5 terabits per second, provides a high capacity, low latency solution.
This is Level 3's ninth scrubbing center. Other locations include: Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, D.C.
24/7 Security Operations Centers around the globe detect anomalies in volumetric flows, perform impact analyses, notify customers of threatening conditions and then help them mitigate the issue.
The São Paulo scrubbing center provides more efficient mitigation of attacks, helping customers in the region recover from malicious activity with less downtime.
12 percent of DDoS attacks target Latin America, according to the Level 3 Threat Research Labs report Safeguarding the Internet.
Key Quotes:
Chris Richter, senior vice president of global security services at Level 3

Adding the São Paulo location to our diverse scrubbing-center footprint allows Level 3 to better help customers in the region predict, detect and mitigate malicious activity while reducing latency and improving overall network performance and customer experience. LVLT very undervalued here. All analysts price targets are $60+ and there is considerable upside here. Not to mention the projected $1 Billion in free cash flow here for 2016.
Morgan Stanley sets $60 Price Target and upgrades LVLT to Overweight. LVLT thus bucking the overall downtrend in the market today.Great Stuff!
$ LVLT. Is a good solid stock and will work its way up to $60 Shortly IMO. GO > $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ LVLT
S&P reaffirms BUY rating and $60 price target. With regard to projected $1 Billion in free cash flow in 2016, CEO states that although cash will be returned to shareholders at some point, LVLT is a "growth company" and that acquisitions to grow its network and market share will take precedence over dividends. In that regard, the CEO also notes that much of LVLT's debt, including debt from the Global Crossing and TW Telecom acquisitions, has already been paid down. All great stuff here on top of the great earnings report and guidance.
$ LVLT. Looks like things are off to a good start and the Company is expecting a good year in 2016 and its one stock i never worry about. GO > $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ LVLT
Should go higher than that. And, I note the news items on the projected $1 Billion in free cash flow for LVLT in 2016, and what the company will do with all that cash in terms of returning a chunk of it to shareholders, and I say pay down debt. LVLT has suffered for years from being held down by its mountain of debt, and anything they can due to reduce debt and interest expense is great for the shareholders, IMO.
$ LVLT. Is looking good and will pull back up to the 52 week high IMO. GO > $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ LVLT
Very positive Q and even better guidance going forward. LVLT shares were way oversold IMO.
$ LVLT. That means nothing as the Market is up & down for all 2016 and LVLT will move back up when the Market settles down IMO. Its always a good time to add the Dips & i never worry about LVLT it has Fiber that alot of Companies would love to have like Google IMO. GO > $ LVLT
WTF? Dow up 200+, Nasdaq +50, and S&P +24, yet LVLT is still in the red? What gives here?
$ LVLT. yes i,ve been involved with LVLT for around 7 years now and i never get concerned about it Lol. GO > LVLT
Appears that a number of Hedge Funds are placing big bets here and taking large stakes in LVLT shares. Have been long here a long time, and has been a long time coming from the huge run-up to $130 in early 2000. Lots of upward room for LVLT to run yet.
$ LVLT. About time for LVLT to start moving on back up North a little & get closer to the 52 week high. GO > $$$$$$$ LVLT
$ LVLT. Level 3 Communications (NYSE:LVLT), which does a fair bit of CDN business besides its core networking operations, reported results on Wednesday morning. That report lifted Level 3 shares as much as 9% higher on Wednesday. GO > $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ LVLT
Interesting that LVLT began its strong surge upward well before the Fed announcement that interest rates would remain unchanged. That indicates this is based in other positive factors.
$ LVLT. It will be alright as it all will level off as the Market settles down all the way around. GO > $$$$$$$$$$ LVLT
This makes no sense. With the markets continuing to recover nicely today, LVLT all of a sudden sells off after being up over a dollar this am. Go figure.
$ LVLT. Yes the Markets been taking a hit but LVLT will come back Strong. GO > $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ LVLT
LVLT roaring back strong this am. And, the news of additional institutional investment(s) is a true positive here. Grossly undervalued right now, IMO.
http://ih.advfn.com/p.php?pid=nmona&article=68274357&symbol=LVLT
$ LVLT. Like you after Glancing over the 8-k it told me that there is more up side than downside and that there would be a nice Recovery taking place as it is today. GO > $$$$$$$$$$$ LVLT
Nice recovery in progress here today for LVLT. The Q was not negative, and the oversold reaction was unwarranted. So, LVLT strengthened and cleaned up its balance sheet last Q, and re-structuring debt to lower interest rates to reduce it interest expenses.
$ LVLT. From just clancing over the 8-k i Agree but i,ve been so busy i,ve not had time to read it over but already see that the sell off was not called for and look for it to move back up fast. I had some to make much more a gain than LVLT lost today and knowing LVLT i am not concerned about the drop as it should move back up as others read the 8-k IMO. GO > $$$$$$$$$$$$$ LVLT
Selling here today was short-sighted. After stripping out the one time costs of debt retirement (which improved the balance sheet and dramatically reduced interest costs) LVLT beat the street estimates by .02. What is not to like?
$ LVLT. Yes should be very interesting and like you say we will see but hope its good. GO > $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ LVLT
LVLT's earnings release and conference call tomorrow am should be very informative and telling, including a new read on how the TW Telecom acquisition is coming along. IMO, it will not be surprising to see them up the positive free cash flow estimate for 2015, but we shall wait and see.
$ LVLT. The DOW is down but LVLT is here for the Long Term. GO > $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ LVLT
SA: LVLT is a HOLD right now:
http://seekingalpha.com/article/3303555-level-3-communications-is-a-hold-right-now?ifp=0
LVLT appears to have bottomed and is in reversal mode.
Not really any logical reasons for the recent pullback in share price for LVLT.
$ LVLT. I always look at when the price is down as a good time to buy and its worked real good for me so for and will keep it up.. GO > $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ LVLT
Continuing pull-back in LVLT shares makes no sense. LVLT is getting seriously undervalued here, IMO.
Down she goes where she will stop God only knows.

$ LVLT. Yes LVLT is holding tight and making steps North slow and easy. GO > $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ LVLT
