I strongly suggest taking some profits here while it's still above $2.60....Gold price no doubt will be in a correction very very soon. I'm still bullish but Hold isn't showing it at above $1200.
Not looking like GOLD will be holding above $1200 much longer....
I believe a few years ago and also had dividends.
Back over $10 ? Where they ever at $10 previously?
KGC headed upwards. Maybe back over $10 by EOY

Kinross Gold Co. (KGC) Shares Gap Up After Analyst Upgrade
Posted by Nolan Pearson on Feb 12th, 2016
Analysts upwardly revised their ratings and price targets on Facebook Inc (FB), Kinross Gold Corporation (USA) (KGC), and Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO >>> KGC reported strong fourth-quarter revenue last night, prompting CIBC, BofA-Merrill Lynch, and TD Securities to raise their price targets on the stock, impressive year-to-date gains. In fact, Kinross Gold Corporation has outperformed the S&P 500 Index (SPX) by more than 53 percentage points over the last three months. The stock could still benefit from further upgrades, too .. All things considered in relation to Market factors for Q4-2015, KGC did very well...that's why its outperforming the likes of other junior miners today and going forward...
Kinross Gold ($KGC) reported a wider loss on an adjusted basis for its fourth quarter but revenues were ahead of expectations.
I wonder if Fins will bring this down ?
KGC fins supposed to come out after close today from what I have seen
Fins due out in a day or two and they haven't hit the $2.75 target so you may be right. GLTA KGC shareholders
KGC$ BIG SPIKE COMING TUESDAY 2/9/16

More than likely KGC or ABX is behind the funding of junior mining company CJTF. Their mines are adjacent to each other
Down 25% ytd.Looks good for a Bounce!
Looks like KGC and gold was a good haven. At least for now
Nice movement on KGC.
I think KGC can be had at a lower price. Currently overbought in my book by the slow stochastics.
I also think the dollar has another pop in it before the Christmas candy starts.
IMO, ABX is dumping these mines to lighten their load.
They seem to want to reduce debt instead of creating more to run/develope those mines.
If KGC wins the bid I just hope they will have done all the DD necessary including cost analysis.
These guys must know what they are doing,,,lol.
I'm sure some of the mines are poor producers but management has to ferret those out.
Are any of these mines money makers with high margins?
I saw some mention that KGC may bid on some assets of ABX this morning.
Barrick Gold (NYSE:ABX) says there has been strong interest in a package of U.S. gold assets it is trying to sell, and expects a deal to close before year-end.
Newmont Mining (NYSE:NEM) and Kinross Gold (NYSE:KGC) are considered likely buyers of the assets, Reuters reports.
ABX said last month it wanted to sell six of its U.S. gold mines and projects: Bald Mountain, Round Mountain, Spring Valley, Ruby Hill, Hilltop and Golden Sunlight.
If done before year-end, the sales would enable ABX to exceed its $3B debt reduction target following other asset disposals and financings, including a recent streaming deal on its Pueblo Viejo mine in the Dominican Republic.
Depends on which way the wind is blowing,,,lol.
I picked up some KGC at 1.57 and I'll sell it at 2, if it makes it there. My order is in.
With gold, there is no longterm only shorterm, IMO.
Yep. What's your thoughts on the ST and LT price for gold?
Well, yes, nice for KGC, but gold gotta keep moving cause KGC follows the price of gold like a puppy dog to a pantleg,,,lol.
Maybe this upturn with KGC today will be a trend for some time to come
(Kitco News) - Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX: K; NYSE: KGC) has upped the lower end of its guidance for production in 2015 while cutting its estimate of costs and capital expenditures, the company announced late Thursday.
The lower end of the range for the company’s production outlook was increased to 2.5 million gold-equivalent ounces from 2.4 million previously. The upper end of the range remains at 2.6 million.
At the same time, its guidance for all-in sustaining costs per gold-equivalent ounce sold was lowered to a range of $975 to $1,025 from the previous company estimate of $1,000 to $1,100. The guidance range for cost of sales per gold-equivalent ounce was cut to $690-$730 from the previous guidance range of $720-$780.
"Every region has stepped up and is expected to produce at, or above, its prior guidance range, and below prior cost guidance ranges,” said J. Paul Rollinson, president and chief executive officer of Kinross.
Capital-expenditure guidance lowered to $650 million from $725 million.
“Capital expenditures, which we have decisively reduced in recent years, are expected to come in significantly below prior guidance,” Rollinson said. “Expected savings from sustaining capital represents roughly half the reduction, with the remainder coming from a combination of planned deferrals and savings of discretionary capital spending. This, along with measured reductions in overhead, (has) contributed to a sizable reduction in our all-in sustaining cost guidance."
Meanwhile, the company said overhead costs -- including general, administrative and business development expenses -- are expected to be below guidance of $205 million. Kinross is also looking for more cuts in overhead costs as part of a company-wide spending review.
benninsac,,,lol,,,hard to believe it went all the way back to April 25th, 2001 to close a lousey 10 cent gap up.
Amazin what these MM's will do to right the log,,,lol.
Now if they remember the gap down from 21.50 on Dec. 3rd 2009, we'll be all set,,,lol.
Should be Gold in the future!
The very idea of paper money taking on Gold and pistol whip manipulating it makes metals a no brainer.Precious metal spirits are insulted:)Good miners like KGC should do great when it turns.
Still drop , watch few more day before buy it
Deep,,,I hear ya brother.
I took a starter position at 1.57 yesterday for 2k shrs.
Very, very oversold by my metrics!
Say it again..One of the Best..I've seen IMO

I hear you. I am no longer worried about missing golds next rise and I'm just worried about making good trades. I do really like this Quality stock and will keep it on follow. Happiest Trading!
it had its run up to 5. Might get a small blip to 2.30 but i figure it drops when it hits.
Gold price not withstanding.KGC has over a Billion in Cash and will be a miner that does recover on Golds next up move. Whenever that is
Received Pending CLASS ACTION Lawsuit & Proposed Settlement info in the mail today... anyone else in the same boat? Looking over my records, it appears that I was actually "damaged" by my investment in Kinross during the stated time-frame of between August 11, 2011 through April 13, 2012. The info states they estimate an average payout of $0.21 per valid share owned... so if I decide to join the class action & the participants decide to settle, I'd be reimbursed around 60% of my actual loss. OR I could decide not to participate in the Class Action, and be eligible for any other legal action concerning this matter. Does anyone know if there is any other litigation other than City of Austin Police Retirement System v. Kinross Gold Corp. ? What is everyone else going to do? Thanks in advance.
Eyeballing gold stocks, this one is on my list
Interesting agreement was just inked with LKAI. See:

http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/lka-gold-and-kinross-gold-usa-sign-exploration--option-agreement-300111926.html
LKAI is an interesting story. An SEC filer, but small and under capitalized. What they have is the Golden Wonder, in Colorado's San Juan Mtns, which has recovered gold at an average of 12-16 opt, and was in normal production for a few years, until 2006, when the ore chute they were working petered out. It was a few years until they started up again..... working at a smaller scale, and doing what is called "exporatory production" (They have never proven reserves, via normal SEC requirements, so have to be careful how they describe their operations. For a few years now, their opt rate has been rising, but it is still not near the old bonanza grades.
Due to the nature of the telluride ore chute system, traditional grid drilling could miss the rich vein structure. Hopefully Kinross gives it a thorough effort!
There's a lot of good info on their website:

Here's the most recent geologist's report:
