Are you still here?
Anything new to say about Rafarma (RAFA)?
g.p.
Is it a good something or a bad something?
Russia just killed the ABT-Petrovax deal: #msg-87043048.
I don't have PM, but thank you for all of your work guys. I have learned a lot by following ... Even if I was a day late, I wasn't a dollar short ;)
Thank you! I caught up, sweet!
This will be my last post here on this board as well, I'm like George Jefferson "movin' on up" to the Rafarma(APKND) board and will continue posting there.
There is still a TON of good info here though, far more then APKND, for those who are new to Rafarma and conducting DD.
Anyway, goodbye Johnston Acquisition it's been real, it's been nice but it ain't been real nice....lol.
Well going to say goodbye to this board. Going to move over to the real Rafarma board now. Bye Bye Johnston.
TDA does lift these I believe. So it can be lifted at some point. Its a pain to have to call in but as long as every other broker is ok this should be ok. Vanguard had it as average daily volume yada.
As you can see from IHUB searches TDA DOES THIS A LOT. Its just more penny restriction bull.

They did that not too long ago. It actually shuts on and off. Ive done tests and sometimes it works and sometimes not. They did it to JAQ too. They said to me you can absolutely buy it but by phone but you can sell by online.
Its only TDA that I know of and their risk assessment. I theorized that it could be particular TA's that cos use but I could be wrong. I understand that brokers have a limited amount of TAs they trust like computershare, American Stock Transfer, and Wells Fargo or whatever the real concrete legit ones are.
tried to bid apnkd , "Opening transactions for this security must be placed with a broker. Please contact us."
Thanks Bob! Finally paid off.
CONGRATULATIONS SK AND ALL LONGS HERE!!!!!!!! and thanks for all your hard work! bobk
I was so close to selling, really glad I didn't. Knew I should have bought some APKN a while back but never did. I would be double happy today. Well done to those that did. Can't wait to see how this all ends up...
Bye Bye JAQC!!
I will take my name off.
Cheers to Rafarma!!!!
Big thanks to Steve Bailey for persevering and getting this merger done, others may have given up on this due to all of the obstacles, you da man.......now it's time to take us too the next level...$10.00 pps.....j/k....I'd be happy with $5 :)
how does this value the shares on a traded basis? apknd hasn't traded since r/s correct? will have to go look at bid/ask there
nice job guys and g/l!
You got that right. By by Johnston, Hello Rafarma. Some brokers will have this done in accounts very quickly. Some might take a couple weeks. OTC markets will have the JAQC page gone in no time, usually a day or overnight. I am assuming the Filings will transfer over since its a merger. Man this is so cool.
I can already hear the big collective sigh of relief from JAQ shareholders....lol.
Damn we have only waited FOREVER for this, I'm very excited now to say the least..!
I love it. They did it AH too. No chance for people to get in that last minute. I wasnt expecting to see it AH and didnt have my website change warning system up. This is soooooo awesome. This is a dream come true!
HALLELUJAH..! Its a done deal....!!!! Phew..!!
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
JAQC: Merged with Rafarma Pharmaceuticals Inc. (APKND). Shareholders of JAQC will receive shares of APKND on a one for one basis.

You got that right. This is going to be the biggest let down of OTC history if this cant be done. Or going to be the biggest deal we have witnessed. This is the most gut wrenching deal I have ever been a part of. Good thing we have a timeline and know there will be an end to this ride one way or another.
Lets hope they don't wait to long because OTC pharma's are pretty hot right now and most of them are still developmental stage unlike Rafarma.
I personally think they got some whooper PR's lined up that are going to blow peoples minds. For example this statement from the website:
So we are looking at about Dec 17th for the earliest it will be removed. I still dont know if they can do a merger in between or if they have to wait until it falls off. I wonder how they are going to do this. The sec FINRA approves it it would be nice to get a PR.
I believe it typically comes off after 20 trading days but I have seen it stay on there longer then that in other stocks that I have followed that have done splits.
We are in Dec. That much closer. Does it take the full 30 days for the D to fall off or can it happen before that? I forget....
Yep, should be a busy and exciting week for the promo hunters out there for sure, hell I might even play one or more, especially the SMA promo, well see how it goes.
One thing is certain none of them is going to be JAQC though...lol....however someday I'd expect to see one for APKN and probably a big one at that.
speaking of which .. 3 big promos launched next week.. look for abnormal volume via screeners early in the am
True. Thinking about starting small with a couple hundred bucks and getting into this type of venture in addition to my other trades some time in early 2013. If it becomes profitable I may switch to trading pre promo.
Well I guess the main risk is getting stuck in a stock that doesn't do a promo for a long time and is illiquid, however, it's really no different then accumulating shell stocks and waiting for RM's to take place, it's the same principle.
If there is a promo and your in early there is little risk, even if it is a half arsed pump those that are in, in the pre-promo phase, can usually make it out with profits if they don't get too greedy. You might have a longer hold but in exchange you manage risk much more then the guy who waits for the alerts.
I'm actually beginning to think that hunting for pre-promos might be the best strategy right now on the OTC for making money.
pre-promo sounds ultra profitable, but also very risky
As soon as the JAQ/APK merger makes it through FINRA this will be a done deal and confidence should be restored again, until then it's going to be touch and go for awhile.
If this does end up being a flop I doubt I'll give up on OTC stocks completely but I won't be spending hours upon hours doing DD anymore that's for sure as it just doesn't pay off, I got nothing to show for KNBA and JAQ right now and spent hundreds of hours and 2 years on DD between them.
Might change my strategy and focus more on looking for pre-promo stocks and less on DD plays in 2013.
I would buy the ask, but what is the purpose of doing so? We need concrete info here. I'm like brother, this might be my last otc stock EVER.
Between the SEC, Finra, and the Fraud board, the otc market is dead as a mackerel.
Oh and i forgot, many brokerage firms, limiting folks of what they can buy.
Nuff, said, this market sucks.
Its a lot of work to know whats going on with the SEC, OTC Markets, FINRA, DTC etc these days. So much has happened and so many rule changes or their testing period with all these things. A lot of co's are having all sorts of issues these days.
I dont know if it would of mattered or if they had to do it a certain way but if they would of merged JAQC with APKN first and then did the name change they could of avoided the CE status. That way they would of had the filings already and the corporate action would of been ok for APKN.
I dont know if they still have to pay the fees to have it removed but I heard somewhere its a few k I believe. But thats peanuts to get removed with this stature of a RM.
Yeah I figured it would happen as well based on DD I've done there in the past. If your gonna dump millions upon millions of shares why would the seller not just pay a few hundred bucks for a cheap promotion of some sort and try and maximize his/her return..?? IMO they appear desperate to get out, like they know something bad is coming.
I'd highly, highly doubt it's the company officers that were part of Baileys team doing it but anyone from the old MatchinAds days, including Ashlin could be suspect.
Pretty bad there. I feared that would happen but I thought the mergers would take place and it would of been higher when it took place and a little later down the road. They are unloading relentlessly. Maybe it can move afterward if they ever get done....
But Bailey was an advisor there and not a part of the co officers. So not close to the involvement here.
Good grief that seller in DND is absolutely relentless, probably someone from the old MatchingAds crew dumping, cant imagine Bailey is too happy with that, he tried to bring some value there but it's hard to do in the face of that volume of dilution. If I were him I'd disassociate myself from that disaster and just focus on JAQ/APK. I wouldn't waste my time trying to do a deal that brings some valuable asset there while some numb-nuts is dumping at will.
Your guess is as good as mine Bro. Its been a head scratching roller coaster for me. But with the WY SOS Restated Articles I agree that is positive. It fits perfectly with JAQC's AS and Preferred. So that may be a clue of what is to come soon.
If this doesn't end up going through I hope Bailey sues the hell out of Weldon because this was supposed to be a squeaky clean shell according to him.
Then again maybe there isn't anything wrong with JAQ and this APK merger was planned all along and we are mistaken. It's impossible to say at this point but this just feels like a Plan B to me.
Whatever the case the WY SOS "Restated Articles" filing yesterday looks like a positive step to me in getting this deal done.
I was watching that one. Very nice. In time Rafarma(when it ever gets to trading around) will be a nicely priced stock.imo It may even take a little time once everything is completely done but should be worth the wait.
Every day, i'm never disappointed, if you don't expect much, than you will never be disappointed, OTC stocks suck at the best. This one is no different.
Some say they never invest more than they can afford to lose, they lie mostly. However that's exactly what i do, and i'm never disappointed. If things go right so be it, if not nothing ventured nothing gained.
You win some and lose some, however if you only invest in otc stocks, your going to lose your arse. That's a given.
That's why i only invest 4 to 5 percent of my portfolio in the otc, JUNK.
Mostly from my Big Board stock divies.
Play accordingly, to your risk factor.
Well FWIW I've noticed Russian news mentioning Rafarma has picked up quite a bit over these past several weeks, there was another mention of Rafarma today in the Lipetsk newspaper in fact.
Remember we went through a very long period where we saw almost no mention of Rafarma at all after the 1st phase opening and now I'm seeing them mentioned almost weekly it seems.
I'm sure that will pick up even more soon as well and more significant news I'd imagine too once the merger is done and they are officially a public company.

Its probably going to be very slow. A slow month anyways. I doubt any tax loss sell offs bc too much is at stake on this play. A lot of risk but possibly a lot of reward. The countdown starts.
I'd guess December is going to be a sloooow month for us waiting on more info and the merger, no one really wants to buy or sell at this point, just waiting now to see how it plays out.
