Most have corrected already. I am accumulating NBG now.
$7.50s-$18+ great 52 week makes me wonder when some of the other europe ADR's will follow with this type of recovery. who knows!
Nice find. I am of the opinion that EIRL is a nice mutual fund basket of Irish stocks overall.
Agree. Ross said he will not be dumping his BKIR.L, but rather start liquidating the position at .29 methodically.
Looking at the volume alone, it appears if major holders are indeed selling, they are being mindful to avoid dumping shares too hard into the upward momentum.
BKIR.L - Up to .31 on solid volume today. Wow. Can this breach of .29 sustain?
IRE. We are talking about 10B recap shares held by Ross and Co.
Umm, I mean, Let's rock these shares and take them out !!!
<credits forward>
ha nicely pumped ah i mean stated!
Then quit getting introspective about it and bring back the pre- R/S random arbitrage of 40% over BKIR.L. Let's get the trader mojo working.
There. That met my pump quota for the month.
I often get introspective here as reflecting to back in the pre- reverse split days. its come along way and managed very well. some banks have a similar history but not the current recovery.
4x on a big board is nothing to snicker at and zero pumping required, just good contrarian fundamental analysis.
real nice! great recovery
Hey now BKIR.L closed at .293. While there are unknown amounts of shares to chew thru at this level, it is encouraging that the wash cycle is now in this crucial area, and 75M volume is nothing to sneeze at either.
I do not expect a fast move off this level, but it is nice to be here no doubt.
BKIR.L sitting right on top of the crucial .29 today. I think there will be lots of churning here though, it is only reasonable considering the volume of shares to churn thru at this level.
Old Charlie stole the handle, and the train won't stop going -- no way to slow down.
UP UP AND AWAY, let's blow thru .32 today! I don't think Mr. Ross would mind much at all.
Go $IRE!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! May good things come for Ireland 2014. what a year for 2013!
BKIR.L just dancing round and round this .26 level. Same thing that happened with .10, .15, .21 and now .26 as it approaches the all crucial .29 level where I expect it will really spin as Ross and company unload some (or all) of their investment.
It is going to take the return of some strong earnings to break thru that .29
Creeper trader effect coming back into play? My peeps are content with 15% overall every time. I am not a trader. Wish I were at times but the grass is no greener on the other side of the fence.
EUR/USD @ 1.3684 x BKIR @ .2610 = .3571524 x 40 = $14.294. With IRE @ 14.80 the current spread is at $0.51 or nearly 3.5% today. Yesterday it was at about 2%.
Crunch us some arbitrage numbers !!!
That was only a "pop" quiz... we will readdress that chapter in a few weeks.
Been seeing some growing arbitrage the last few sessions.
BKIR.L now about to test the largest level of resistance, .29-30. This is where Wilbur Ross said is the minimum he would start taking shares off the table. Question is how many? All of them? I expect to see him move some if not all into other EU depressed securities. The major players of course.
My Vision is min. $35 ps 5yrs out
Anyone have any ideas regarding where we might be heading share price wise ? From what I read so far 100 share price is possible within 5 years if economy recovers in Europe.
No kidding! I'll take a +12% move in two days any day of the year. I like your crystal ball, keep an eye on it.
After the spin cycle at .21 washed out the BKIR.L charge on .29 is in full effect.
Yup. And IRE will be rocking into the 13's today.
looking as though BKIR may be into the .25s by EOD, IRE is movin up swiftly today again too!
Go $BKIR, $IRE...
Movin on up today! Go $IRE!
I waited for the post split debacle to unwind but surely a strategic move that will pay off.
Go $IRE - $BKIR.L, at .26 the few on the house pre-split shares I still hold will finally be green and join the rest of my position. I'll still be sticking around for awhile though, I;m waiting till IRE hits $20 where I can sell 40% and then ride the house on the remainder.
.23's are up to bat again for BRIK.L. Those .21's may finally be gone and on the way up to next serious resistance at .29
Figured it would take quite awhile to churn that key level.
I think the .21s are getting very clean (too clean) and will be put out to dry in October. Maybe we'll see the .29s by Thanksgiving time, and break through that wash cycle by New Years! Nice call Malc Stone,
Go $IRE! BKIR!
I agree, but in the medium term. I want to see regularised commercial bank lending here first.
This may well be a factor come Monday http://ih.advfn.com/p.php?pid=nmona&article=59306260
BKIR.L has held the .21 support rather well. When the churning stops at current level it will break towards .29 where it will meet the next serious resistance as Wilbur Ross has announced that this is his target sell price for his triple and moving on with his millions.
Ross says he is looking at Spanish banks for his next deep value recovery play. Me too. Already been accumulating SAN for a few years.
The washing of the .21 range is probably not over yet. That is my take on BKIR from the extreme volume when it was at that level years ago. The .29 resistance will come from Wilbur Ross and Company based on their statements from years ago, IMO.
this is the best response EVER! I'm doing just that in the morn :)
What our time does london close? the .2070 last trade is not show on the yahoo chart showing last trade time of 4:28. As you said, it matters very little once the .23 & .24s start printing tomorrow. .
Hmm. Does not matter much now though. Lets track it in the morning before the cup of joe and the visit to the throne with the paper. Then we will know for sure where BKIR closed at lol.
I would try to find out the exact close of BKIR today if it mattered much to me but it does not. More wondering if the arbitrage trend will correct or if traders are starting another run following the historical chart.
On Bloomberg, last trade at 11:38 am
Yahoo biz shows close at .21 and another source at .207.
Where are you seeing that? An AH trade?
