I'm sure some of the hedges that got wiped out due to GME and AMC had to sell long positions to use to cover their losses
Just a little short squeeze last couple days
Premarket doesn’t scare me. Hoping today we are at 5
How about Mitt?
Curious as well. Didn’t see any news? Fine with the jump but... why?
This is a buy at these prices.
IVR divi Improved every quarter...
moving up from last divi- good sign-- still far below what we are used to.
Common Stock Dividend
The Company's Board of Directors declared a cash dividend of $0.08 per share of common stock for the fourth quarter of 2020. The dividend will be paid on January 26, 2021 to stockholders of record on January 12, 2021, with an ex-dividend date of January 11, 2021.
News about dividend just out .08 per share to share holders of record 1/12/21 with ex date 1/11/21 paid out 1/26/21
sold my shares again this morning. Will buy back again in the teens. With no news or guidance from IVR, i'll continue to flip for 5% since that's what the annual dividend is anyways

I dont see the press release for 2016 either, just odd they would announce it like this. Trying to avoid any run up...
Last quarter, they announced all of the non-common stock dividends but, instead of also announcing the common stock dividend at the same time, only announced the date (about 2 weeks later) at which they would announce for the common stock. I expected a similar scenario this quarter, but they have yet to announce any of thier preffered or common stock dividend amounts yet for the current quarter.
what website had that? I just looked at market beat they have announcement date as 12/15/2016 for that one. Nasdaq.com has declaration date of 1/5/2017 with effective date of 12/22/2016. Who knows...I wouldn't like that though. It ruins to uptick tp buy in pre ex date which helps cushion the post dividend dip
Yeah, I get that. Just looking to see if I missed a notice, from the company, stating they will be delayed. December 2016 is rather telling....looks like they declared the divi AFTER the ex date - am I incorrect?
Ex/EFF DATE TYPE CASH AMOUNT DECLARATION DATE RECORD DATE PAYMENT DATE
12/22/2016 CASH $0.40 01/05/2017 12/27/2016 01/26/2017
Looking at previous declaration dates...they have been consistently in the December teens.
Where did they say it was delayed?
I don't like the delay either, but they did delay the last dividend announcement (although they let us know it would be delayed) and it was an increase ($0.02 to $0.05). My best guess for the next dividend is $0.07-$0.12 announced by or before 12/30.
Based on what do you think it is going to be increased? I am rebuilding my position here again hoping for that, but the delay is not comforting.
I inquired last week with their investor relations representative and, though they were unable to give me details on the specific date of the next dividend announcement, they said to monitor the website news releases during the next couple of weeks (i.e. it is coming soon). Makes sense that the announcement is a bit delayed (compared to last year) this quarter with the wierd year going on...but we'll see it very soon, and I definitely believe it will be an increase.
Every quarter IVR improves toward back on track...
Taking advantage of these little dips to add as much as possible before the next dividend announcement.
I don't hate anyone who has the time for making swing-trades or day trades on this ticker (today would have been a great sell at open/buy at close scenario for anyone actively trading). I simply see this company as a great value/long-term investment to be taken advantage of. The Dividend as it stands is extremely respectable @ around 5% and I see it growing.
I had been building a little position here for a few weeks now but sold today for a small 4% gain due to the filings. I'm thinking there will be some short term price action that will be favorable to buy back in.
Hopefully no bad news about the dividend coming down the pipeline. But I am not terribly optimistic since they have to "bolster" their financial positions by diluting the market which would make their dividend payout even bigger. Kind of a catch22.
Makes business sense to me that they make use of the current high volume trading interest to add some common stocks and bolster their finances. Like I've said before, I am long-term on this. If the prices stay at this level for awhile, that is cool with me. I'll continue to build my position little by little as I am able. I have faith that the company is making the best decisions for their long-term health...and that is what I am interested in.
45 million shares to be sold to the market with the proceeds to be used to cover their existing debts.
Doesn't sound good to me
I do think that pps will eventually return to pre-Covid levels on this. Like I said initially, I don't think that will happen for 2-3 years though. No overnight false pump going on here.
Dribble because you failed to mention anything that would explain why the share price would not be rebounding back to precovid prices. your statements lead bozos into thinking the share price would be returning there when it is not the same amount of shares or the same assets. Basically a totally different company but the same management.
Obviously the company restructured when Covid hit and had to use what methods they had available to meet their dividend obligation and debt obligations. No one is questioning that. What's exciting is that they are now past their bottom pps and are back on the gradual upward recovery trend. It's also really cool that, though they had to drastically decrease it temporarily, they kept the dividend and are also gradually increasing it. No one's questioning the fact that it was a tough year for Invesco. They simply are now at the beginning of a very exciting positive trend..."Useless dribble"? What on my initial post was untrue? I was using hard numbers available for anyone to see if they look them up.
They did that to preserve cash and only did it once. The last two were cash, so they have not diluted that much.
Please do better research if you are going to post.
The company diluted shares to meet their dividend payouts when covid hit and they restructured their entire portfolio.
I am also investing in this, but this is very different than it was before covid.
WHat you are posting is worthless dribble.
$Invesco Mortgage Hope everyone enjoys their holiday...I wanted to take a second to lay out why this ticker is one of my favorites and the 2 ways in which it has extremely exciting future potential for growth...
1) Price per share (the obvious one) - these shares are currently priced at huge discounts to pre-Covid levels and the price will gradually continue to grow back towards those levels as the Company recovers it's leverage and assets. I estimate it will take 2-3 years to get back to the $15-$18 pps range, but I don't mind this as it gives me more time to invest at discount prices the small amount of monthly capital/dividend re-investment I have budgeted towards investment.
2) The Dividend - The current 5 cent (20 cent annual) payout comes in around a very respectable 5-6% (annual). If you look at the Company's historic payout for the last few year's, they paid out an annual dividend between 9-12%. This was $1.60-1.80 annual dividend per share when the price per share was between $15-18. It makes sense to me that the company will attempt to get back to around a 10% annual dividend and will therefore continue to raise the dividend as they recover...meaning, shares accumulated at the current discounts will have an exponentially higher dividend value if held through this recovery stage.
...fun stuff to think about?
GL-- holding shares!
Thankful for the consolidation day yesterday and the opportunity to add a few more. This thing is looking to climb the next step on the staircase.
Hopefully it will continue to trend up.
