INTC$ $80 target price woohoooooo
AMD kicked Intel in the teeth with this. The I/O did in the high end parts is manufactured on an older process.
Alan
If I sold 3 INTC shares and bought one AMD share I would still have enough $$ to buy the kido's some chicken nuggets. May include beaks and claws, parts is parts.
This is a new one: Intel thriving on old technologies.
Northland Capital markets analyst Gus Richard raised his rating on Intel to outperform with a price target of $62 even though there remain “lots of negatives.”
“For the first time in many years, we think Intel is starting to executeon a coherent strategy,” Richard said. “We expect Intel to leverage its [System in Package] capability and optimize its fab resources producing die that is best built on older technology.”

I was afwaid something like that would happen.
So, if Intel needs money to expand production, why don't they just sell some of them bought back shares?
This may lead to them being boycott here!

Fellers, I am stoked, it is going to be Sweeeet. Rumors persist that in January Intel will finally release, Molasses Lake. Yes, of course, it's been slow in coming, ....
INTEL to invest 7 BILLION in malaysia to open new chip plant......good to see that they are looking down the road.....and china is not on the horizon
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ INTEL $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.....gla
Just a little early but working good now. I see you are out quite a way time wise. I do the same with options, though not quite as far. Good luck ...
Boom there it is …. Grabbed some $55 June calls …
There is a rumor they are going to spin off mobileye for around $50B. Given the INTC market cap is only $200B now, that would be quite a boost.
We need the rumor to become fact.
Toss in another 50 for the Biden Chip program.
have to admit......was going to sell next week for tax loss.........still sitting on 3500 from last summer at around $57.....this is indeed GOOD NEWS.....about to depart for a long drive....to my camp for a few weeks
good luck all ...and HAPPY HOLIDAYS
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ INTEL $$$$$$$$$$$.....yeeessssss!!!!
And the crowd ROARS.
Intel Stock Surges On Plans For Potential $50 Billion Mobileye IPO
Intel plans to list Mobileye, the self-driving car division is purchased in 2017, sometime next year in a deal that could value the group at around $50 billion.

IF Intel introduces alder lake mobile, ARC GPU's, Sapphire Rapids for server, and Ponte Vecchio compute GPU in H1 next year the competitive landscape will have shifted.
Or, they will have to come face to face with the reality of their products true value.
With the large product dump expected from Intel in H1 2022 it will be interesting to see if it holds.
So, in about six months. Kicked three slats out of my crib when I first heard that one.
Intel and AMD are not just at stock price cross over these days, but very near market cap cross over.
With the large product dump expected from Intel in H1 2022 it will be interesting to see if it holds. Genoa appears to be slipping, but the Milan-X looks good enough to fill the gap.

Not too late to average in slowly or, due diligence:

The Juicy News you didn’t see:

Intel Absorbed a competitor. Bought out their top employees for 125M.
?????????????????????????????????????????????
Bear market Dies. All the bad news to draw back Intel has been spewed to the public, and the results are in. Today, We’re looking at a series of short sale recovery percentage increases. This will likely be followed by investment percentage gains. With Demand through the Roof on tech, there is nothing but Golden Opportunities here. I can’t wait to see what’s next in this tech industry!
It is very unlikely they will take marketshare from Nvidia in the short term. Tech bear market!
Intel will start selling discrete graphics in the first quarter, you literally can't buy a discrete graphics card right now, Intel does not have to have the best cards they just have to be available, and the first batches will almost certainly be made by TSMC.
Krzanich (and Murthy) did great damage to Intel.
Krzanich largely ignored Intel's core competencies and devoted his time to shiny objects like woke politics and drone aerial displays.
Both Murthy and Krzanich destroyed Intel Culture. The brain drain was crippling over those 5 years.
Pat Gelsinger has one major job turning this around. But I think he is up to the job. It will take the right people, time and capital. He is on the right track.
Depends on what you mean by short term... but it is at least 18 months so half 1 2023 at the earliest.

The Big Dip. This setback worked perfectly! Although most of these sales were triggered by a “bad” report followed by previous employee stock sellout, it seems bottom has been struck. We were shooting for a $45 buy in, but our consumers aren’t letting it fall that far. Can we draw it back more for an even better buy opportunity? The inside sell off was eaten up by thousands of consumers, lapping up the dip before bottom goal was reached. Remember: INTC is at a pivot point in its business structure, and it is publicly unclear the exact route of investment action. I would hope Billions invested would result in regaining the global pole position, but with supply dwindling, and material warehouses collecting dust, this only means one thing. The cost of technological devices will surely continually increase, until our materials start coming in at regular pace again. Yet again… another Global pandemic.
Intel is increasing spending substantially. They expect to take a significant portion of the GPU market from Nvidia and its clear the analysts don't think so.
I think the stock is reacting to the forecast of GM's in the low 50's for the next several years.
Alan
This is a major overreaction. Their Q3 was actually good and better than Q3-2020, yet this is getting murdered.
Summer 2020 Call Options on the cheap right now.......

Thank you...Alan is a good man and well respected by me.
His last post on iHub was August 26. Beyond that, I don't know.
Has anyone here heard from Alan? I hope he is doing fine but just wondering if he is OK?
Apple is beating Intel at his own game.
Not my words.
