Hi Mizz Missy
Quan Yin, the great goddess and Mother of Compassion
Quan Yin loved and revered throughout Asia. A beautiful expression of Divine Mother. Mercy means there is more assistance given through love than through merit earned. Following her ascension Kwan Yin turned back to save others and made this pledge - "Never will I seek, nor receive, private individual salvation, never will I enter into final peace alone, but forever and everywhere will I live and strive for the redemption of every creature throughout the world from the bonds of conditioned existence". Kwan Yin is associated with the earth, fertility, and birth, and healing. She has also brought forth the energies of Magnified Healing. Quan Yin is known as the Goddess of Compassion and is often depicted riding on a dragon. She is the eastern counterpart of Mother Mary and she works to balance the feminine energy. She is one of the Lords of Karma representing the sixth ray. Isis carried the same 'mother energy' in Egyptian and Hinduism, Shakti (Vishnu's wife), Pavarti (Shiva's wife) and Sita (Rama's wife). Her proper name is Kuanshih Yin and means "She who harkens to the cries of the world". She is honored in Japan and China. A Celestial Bodhisatva and Ascended Master. Quan-Yin
Ascended Master - a being who has become Self-Realized and serves humanity;
a being who has raised his/her vibration to a sustained frequency of light.
He/she can come and go at will from the earth plane without the Birth//Death cycle.
Self-Realization - the awareness of our complete and indivisible union with God,
which we are. This also means that the ego-self has come to know itself so clearly,
so lovingly, so wisely that it is no longer run by the Shadow.
When one is in the Illumined State or Self-Realized,
there ceases to be any more inner or outer drama.
The personal ego-self has surrendered fully and willingly into the loving embrace of the Soul
Compassionate Judgment...
"Decide by an act of will that you are not going to be a judgmental person. The bible says quite clearly, "Judge not..."
(Mathew 7:1), and the reason behind this prohibition is plain: We never have all the information that would enable us to make an absolute just judgment. There are always some things hidden from us, things known only to God. So it is better to leave the judgment to him. If punishment is necessary, let him take care of it. "Vengeance is mine: I will repay, said the Lord." In any case, none of us is so perfect that we can afford to be harsh and totally unforgiving of people whose actions hurt or displease us.
He also said that if you have a quarrel with someone, it is useless to bring a gift to God's alter and ask for blessings until you first go and seek reconciliation with that person.
Anger, resentment, and hatred set up barriers that deprive a person from spiritual power.
Forgiveness is an antidote for poisons that can corrupt the body and damage the soul."

Affirmation For October 18
"I Have The Power Within Me To Make Everything I Touch Turn Into Pure Gold".
Affirmations....
When working with an affirmation, allow the energy of the words to filter through your consciousness and watch for insights and synchronicities that you may experience throughout the day. Writing the affirmation several times in a notebook or tucking a copy in your handbag or wallet to carry with you can also attract the energy you need to manifest greater and more positive things in your own life.
Morning Prayer
You are ushering in another day
Untouched and freshly new,
So here I come to ask You God
If You'll renew me too?
Forgive the many errors,
That I made yesterday,
And let me try again dear God,
To walk closer in Thy way.
But Father, I am well aware
I can't make it on my own.
So take my hand and hold it tight
For I can't walk alone.

Stormy Dreams
By JM Novak
Stormy night comes
where rains fall fast
to find a place
to dry at last
Fire in the stove
to warm our hearts
for tea or cider
before journey starts
A twilight's gaze
through curtains calls
to sleep once more
As night time falls
Wind swept doubts
and childhood dreams
skipping rocks on ponds
Jumping stones in streams
Where tears of love
become as doves
the trees, the wind
and apple groves
A rooster calls
New light awakens
Explore the new path
a dream's desire has taken

I don't know where this originated so I can't decide what to make of it. At first read, it seems negative.
Missy, long time ago, remember reading something-different perspective on light and dark. Here's a bit of it:
"So before and after the sun, what exists? Darkness. What is it that you are referring to as God? Everything springs from that; that is what you are referring to as God. What is the root of everything in existence? God, isn't it? You tell me now, what is God? Darkness or light? Nothingness means darkness. Everything comes from nothingness. Science proves it to you and your religions have always said it. God is all-emcompassing, and only darkness can be all-emcompassing! Light is but a brief happening....."
intersting, that's all

I'm going to blockbusters real quick. see if they have this movie. brb
my wife says theres no hope for me. 8^)
yeah, I agree it was a great way to end the movie!
Missy and Drum will enjoy it!
I think we all have an inner voice, it just doesn't take a physical form. I love the part at the end of the movie where he gains control and chooses not to listen to her. He is standing at a podium after being allowed to teach classes again. When asked by the class if his spirits are gone he says no.. now I just choose not to listen to them.
And then there is a shot of him walking out of the university and there she stands in the hallway as he looks straight ahead and walks right by her.
Outside class he has a new student and grabs her and asks her if she is real and she says ahhh yeah....
He looks at her that's good....good
Too funny
Thanks for the reco, I will.

It's said that it's common for children to see faeries, spirits, etc... "imaginary friends". We haven't conditioned, or polluted, them to discount them as real. When we do, they accept what we tell them, and they start to lose their psychic abilities.
its a rule around here, that, if u have any more pills, u must share! haaa!
I never saw that movie. I'll have to rent it.

"A beautiful mind"
when he had the "ah ha" moment
that pulled him out of his delusions?
he suddenly REAlIZED
that the little girl
in his delusions never grew up
she never aged?
and
think about how often
during your life
that you just never
felt like
you were your age
6
18
47
or whatever age
just like in the delusions, the child never aged
so it is that thing inside us
that gives us life
;our spirit never feels age
it's an ah ha moment

"Cowboy and the Church"
---------------------------
One Sunday morning an old cowboy entered a church just before services were to begin.
Although the old man and his clothes were spotlessly clean, he wore jeans, a denim shirt and boots that were very worn and ragged. In his hand he carried a worn out old hat and an equally worn out bible.
The Church he entered was in a very upscale and exclusive part of the city. It was the largest and most beautiful church the old cowboy had ever seen.
The people of the congregation were all dressed with expensive clothes and accessories.
As the cowboy took a seat, the others moved away from him.
No one greeted, spoke to, or welcomed him. They were all appalled at his appearance and did not attempt to hide it. The preacher gave a long sermon about Hellfire and brimstone and a stern lecture on how much money the church needed to do God's work.
As the old cowboy was leaving the church, the preacher approached him and asked the cowboy to do him a favor. "Before you come back in here again, have a talk with God and ask him what He thinks would be appropriate attire for worship."
The old cowboy assured the preacher he would.
The next Sunday, he showed up for the services wearing the same ragged jeans, shirt, boots, and hat. Once again he was completely shunned and ignored.
The preacher approached the man and said, "I thought I asked you to speak to God before you came back to our church."
"I did," replied the old cowboy.
"If you spoke to God, what did he tell you the proper attire should be for worshiping in here?" asked the preacher.
"Well, sir, God told me that He didn't have a clue what I should wear.
He says He's never been in this church!
"Daddy's little Wrangler"
--------------------------
Although I’m just a girl of sorts,
I well remember when,
Daddy placed me on a horse,
then stood back with a grin
He spoke some words I’ll not forget
no matter how I age,
‘bout bein’ a little wrangler;
his helper without wage
Ya see, I was the oldest,
an’ no boys would there be,
so Daddy made the best of it
an’ declared his sidekick me.
I learned to herd the cattle,
swing a rope above my head,
an’ not to worry ‘bout the storm
or lightnin’ I might dread
He taught me how to buck bales
an’ how to lay a brand,
guess you could say in our world,
I was his best hand
We mended fence, pulled new calves
an’ fought some big wildfires,
me ridin’ there beside him
since that was his desire
He always called me Buddy,
an’ I know that he was proud
tho’ he never really said it
to anyone out loud
Guess you could say my dad ‘n me
well, we were very close,
an’ bein’ his little wrangler
is what I cherish most…

"the Preacher an the Bear"
---------------------------
The preacher he went a-ridin
On one Saturday morn,
According to this tale as told
He started out in the corn,
He scared up one dozen partridges
On a morning which was so fair,
He got down the road a little further
And spied a big grizzly bear,
Well the bear stood up
and that horse did buck,
The preacher dropped to his knees,
He got so excited
That he climbed up in the trees!
The parson stayed up in that tree
I think it was all night,
Then he cast his eyes up to the Lord
And these are the words he said,
Oh Lord, didn't you deliver Daniel
From the lion's den?
Also brother Jonah
From the belly of the whale,
And didn't you save multitudes from starving
With a fish and a loaf of bread?
Oh Lord, please my life do spare!
But Lord, if you can't help me,
Please don't help that bear!
"Travis"
(a cowboys dog)
Today, I buried ol’ Travis…
A better dog, you never seen,
intelligent, strong, and good-natured,
with eyes that were wary and keen.
It hurt me to lay him to rest now,
an’ I know I’m gonna shed tears,
but I can’t fault God for the takin’,
‘cause I shared with that dog, sixteen years.
I remember when I first saw Travis,
just a little fur-ball at the time.
We both felt an instant connection,
I knew that cow-dog would be mine.
I couldn’t resist his free spirit,
golden eyes that were so fulla care,
nor could I foresee his devotion,
or all the good times we would share.
From the very first trip to our homestead,
the pick-up, he claimed as his own.
Whenever that truck left our acres,
he was goin’ wherever it roamed.
As a watch dog, there never was better,
no coyote would dare cross this land.
He’d be out there barkin’ an’ chasin’,
an’ run off the whole yippin’ band.
An’ when Mr. Cougar, come prowlin’,
ol’ Travis would raise such a fuss.
He knew not to nab the mean bugger, but would bark till it woke both of us.
Ranch hands have got an’ old sayin’
‘bout workin’ as hard as a dog,
an’ I can sure vouch for ol’ Travis,
he could herd cattle even in fog.
His muzzle was startin’ to turn gray,
an’ he had quite a limp t’ward the end,
but whenever I’d head out to do chores,
I could count on some help from my friend.
Now, I ain’t alone in my grievin’,
the wife took Trav’s death pretty hard.
He was also her life-long companion,
an’ would follow her out in the yard.
I know that we’re both gonna miss him,
this place’ll seem empty an’ bare.
I’ll miss fillin’ his bowl in the kitchen,
an’ him sleepin’ right next to my chair.
My throat’s just plum fulla the achin’,
an’ I’ll bust out in tears any time,
but I ain’t ashamed a my feelin’s,
‘cause most dogs, they ain’t worth a dime.
But Travis was just somethin’ special,
best cow-dog I ever did see,
an’ wherever God sends dogs when passin’,
that’s the place where I wanna be.

"Walk a little slower, Daddy"
--------------------------------
"walk a little slower, daddy"
said a little child so small.
i'm following in your footsteps,
and i don't want to fall.
sometimes your steps are very fast,
sometimes they're hard to see.
so walk a little slower daddy,
for you are leading me.
someday when i'm all grown up,
you're what i want to be.
then i will have a little child,
who'll want to follow me.
and i would want to lead just right,
and know that i was true.
so, walk a little slower, daddy,
for i must follow you.
