The reason i am keeping my shares for the long run...: the next step in production will not be a complete product like f.e. windows. It will be a two way buying. Software and manufacturing. What microsoft did as a combining developer. Does not count for 3d. The issues to resolve are to complex to grab it into one solution. Therefore a split in software and hardware is needed. This will lead to a package solution and standard in the future. Say, 10 years from now. Meanwhile...mtls needs your support....to get to this point. Could go fast, if mm would focuss on psychological importancy of developement.
LOL!!! About that i'm telling you accting and finance.
I was a double major in accounting and finance, which helps a ton on the fundamental side, but I use more technical analysis when deciding to add more shares. I am just getting my feet wet in the market though and nothing has prepared me for the shorting and PR manipulation of the pennies.
I am learning as fast as I can though and read everything about my stocks (so thanks for the link). Its the addicting thrill I have been waiting for my whole life. The goal is to rollover CTIX/MTLS profits into a margin account and day trade my way out of the rat race before 35.
I worked in quality inspections for a company in college that produced and QA'd parts for GE, General Dynamics, and who knows else. US Gov't QA is the most time consuming and meticulous. Sigma can fill a lucrative niche going forward.
MTLS has the inventor of 3D printing and medical patents to theoretically monopolize their niche.
Maybe I am overzealous but it just seems like a sure thing I can't miss out on...
Good Luck along the way...
On materialise, I think we will do well, with or w/o Sigma. (And I think Sigma will do fine as well, in the long run, just that if they do not make better business decisions, it will take a lot longer) Materialise has a really wide net over the service bureau space, but it's their software aspect that's generating and growing fastest as the best of what they offer. Software is a great area to invest in because it fits the concept of scalability.
If you are a beginning investor, one of the best tools you can give yourself is a foundation in accounting. It will help you understand the financial documents. Then, finance, to understand what the SEC filings really mean. Maybe you already have this background. I got mine when I went for a real estate licence, and I took accountion 101 online from my local community college.
Yes, I made up my mind a while ago and bought more as I seen it dip to 7.70. My biggest concern is the affiliated Sigma and I read of your legitimate concerns. The current prices don't reflect my perceived value and I panic somewhat. I don't have much to invest and try to split my funding between MTLS, SGLB and CTIX. All are going through huge changes and I want to get the most out of my investment so it's hard to allocate.
hopefully I have these same issues at a much higher price...
Good luck and thanks nobody replies to me,

Let's see a little liquidity!
Well, have you made a decision about $MTLS? There is a good poster on stocktwits, Michael
http://stocktwits.com/MichaelSDeVries who posts a lot of good links about what they are working on. I'm there, too, often, more often than here. Go see.
I cannot guide you, I'm sorry. I am invested in both. At this moment, I have no sense about how it will play in the future.
Chef, I read your posts on another board of a Lab company affiliated with MTLS. I would assume MTLS is pairing their Streamic collaboration software with the IPQA of the lab. However, both companies are falling in price.
IMO, I see it as a great buying opportunity but I am curious as to your outlook regarding the two.
All input is welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks,
Go hawks/lakers
Nope. It'll just be wait and see. No flatlining yet.
Anybody have any ideas where the technical bottom might be for MTLS? This downward trend has to stop somewhere.

This is the entry point... here we go
Yes, they took stops out today.
they will make their money by licinsing their 3D Softaware especialliy in the medical business...that's where the money lies.
I like rumours....this can't be at this low forever. The impact of mtls will be global.
..if the roumor I heard is true...
next news will send this to 15 or 20$ a share
Don't forget the dollar is rising. Mtls becomes more expensive even when the share price is dropping when you have euro's. Future of sglb and mtls could lead to a liberary/download platform. That cuts out the producing and selling players as we know today. You are aible to deliver and produce individualy. This is also the reason why things are slowing down stockwise. Big producing co's understand they will end up without orders. They are buying time influencing the stock of upcoming developing co's.
This company will be fine.We use them as our supplier over here in Belgium to produce prototypes.
Further I have heared that they may have a big deal within the US.
I think there might be a good return in the long haul...
$MTLS watching how many of the better players in AM are coming from Northern Europe, I return again and again to the thought that Materialize is going to be the gateway for many or most. I really like their diversification, and their management. It is being buffeted by the Eurwoes right now, but if Europe is going to dig themselves out of their hole, it'll be through advanced techniques and materials. I remember the '80's, I think. Ireland had a nation-wide brain drain, and only by tech service companies getting in there did they start turning around. They lost their edge I think, and they need to really focus to get it back.
Agreed! MTLS----GL!
$MTLS This stock has a lot of institutional backing. Many are calling overweight or buy. Good diversification between segments. Software is their fastest growing, with very nice margins
Very nice! MTLS GLTU/A!
reads better. Very nice close today. 1/8/15 6.32%

I suppose some newsletter put Sigma in the target zone, waited for low volume to sound a slime alarm.
Just hope that it will hold up through the lockup expiration. If you are concerned about it, pay atention to the 12/22 date. (I'm still holding.)
Same here, this one has gone south fast! :-/

Is B6Sigma Sigma Labs behind these? $SGLB $MTLS
Sglb is depending on the first big whale to show hands.
$MTLS $SGLB Very nice. And we know who also fits 'seamlessly" in that chain of events, Seamless B6Sigma.
I find it interesting how when we always close at the high of day. I'm pretty newbie to reading charts/candlesticks etc, could someone enlighten me to the reason for this?
