Low yesterday of 35.64 ?.....Close 37.48 ?
Low THIS morning now is 33.80 something.
So has it CERTAINLY closed those old (red circle) gaps ?
Meanwhile.....
Nasdaqs' close of yesterday
The S&Ps' action yesterday
And today....
Like I mean.....There's just been NO sense in driving without a damned MAP now, has there been ?
And yet that's what so many will always still choose to do.
Looks like time for a Nowwhat Update because they're generally better than simply just guessing ?
Last 39.27
Having said (shown) that however, this is an excellent entry point....(at sub $39)
But if it ventures below the (now) low of 38.06, then, it's head for the red horizontal.
So y'get out w a tiny loss and try the same procedure down there
Buy the Poke-Thru's of Support....but if things keep dropping, jump ship w small loss.
Low now = 37.67 so......the red horizontal appears likely.....(to me - AT THIS TIME)
How's the S&P doing here ?.....Since, IT must factor in as well !
Good Luck !
Killing me, love the ranter, love the charter.. MTLS$...
Indeed. Good luck to you. I will let you know if it was a good decision after the fact depending on if it went up or down.
At this point I can just ask, did I know what I was doing, or am I a complete dumbass?
"old habits die hard", might buy again MTLS$, gl...
Read my mind. Bought this and SGLB today.
Think saying buy low $40's..might add there imo.. MTLS$...
So.....In a week they'll be reporting huh ?.....

Why, I did not KNOW that that was coming up (but it sure LOOKS) like the chart DID.....
Friday Feb. 26th.......(larger red arrow than green).......Low today 42.81

Materialise NV to Report Fourth Quarter 2020 Earnings on Tuesday, March 9, 2021
https://ih.advfn.com/stock-market/NASDAQ/materialise-nv-MTLS/stock-news/84474023/materialise-nv-to-report-fourth-quarter-2020-earni
Dude, why don't you just put it out there and say I think this is going to go up, I think this is going down or this aint goin nowhere.
WTF is villages $8 level?
I have no idea what the price of Materialise will be one, three or five years from now. I do know I like the company. I do know they are making great progress with partnerships and were growing exponentially until covid. I know they participate and are a leader in the 3d printing industry. The only price I care about on any graph and in any timeline is when I bought, where it is now and when I think it is fairly or overvalued.
I have no idea how old you are, what your risk appetite is, or when you would need the proceeds from any of your investments, so would not presume to tell you what, where or when to buy.
I can make anything look reasonable if I choose the right starting and endpoint, whether it be decades, years, months, days or seconds. I can make anything look plausible if I phrase it as a question.
When I am done here there will be no ambiguity about what I said. You are a deusche. That is consistent given any timeline that I am aware of.
Materialise is a decent company that I am fortunate to own. I already got a great deal. I'm getting old but as far as I recall, I had no idea you existed when I was buying this company how many ever years ago. Please, feel free to save me from myself. But if you think you have to, don't be a pussy about it and leave out the question marks.
"It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation."

Good luck to you.
Awww I dunno - But this is how I'm kinda seein' things here....
Altho, a great deal's gonna depend on this too I imagine.

Aloternatively why not just ask this guy.....
Just get HIS convoluted, unsubstantiated pullitstraightoutoftheass opinion
Probably be much better off
Stupid guy threw me off all last Friday morning....
Didn't even REALIZE I had a stock doin' this https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=162197718
Got too busy defending my technical analysis......
Yep, why some folks just LOVE to get DISTRACTING others (ie. me) - Just RIGHT around key critical junctures of things.....
For example during Villages' $8 Level (if I do recall).....
I found myself fending off numerous windbag-like posts.
Hey.. Curious, picked up $46, where do I scoop up the falling knife for the second buy?
Love the company thinking buy $36 again goes that low..
btw VFF$ for the gold ...
gl
Missed this one..$50 on pullback tempting though, gl.. MTLS$...
he-he-he......I understand ya' / Been there / Done that too !
Bummer. Sorry. Dang me. Shoot
This is brutal. My 20/20 hindsight is kicking me in the behind saying why didn’t you get out at $87!
Going to dip my toe in my non-taxable with a limit order @$61
It's hard to not let the runners run. There are a few names that would have piled up if I let them. It's not easy to leave emotion out of the decision making process. I fell in love with a few stocks early on and got bit pretty good. Like you say, they're not gains until someone pays you.
Except I haven’t sold anything therefore no actual gains yet and just “lost” $22 a share in a day!
I thought I did pretty well but you killed it. Good work.
I got in at $16.89 in 2019 so the rise for me is even steeper for me and makes me nervous.
I guess I’m trying to work out if I should cash out and wait for a sensible buyback or walk away and not look back or double down and treat $60 as the new $30 for MTLS
I bought in at $11.60 in 2014. I am up almost 480% today. I have only sold shares of MTLS as it became a bigger % of my total portfolio than I like to hold. I am not going to buy until it falls materially and if the story is still in tact. I am not buying too much of anything these days. I see more risk of a pullback for the equity markets so am treading lightly. I bought some fixed income within the last year which is a first for me. Not a lot of reward there but not a lot of pain either. We'll see. My investing time frame is getting shorter as well so maybe a little bit of stingy old guy kicking in.
I know most if not all here are longs so who’s looking to load up again?
If you are would you share what your personal price point is?
Hey, what's going on here? This stock only goes up.
MTLS—The new all time highs continue relentlessly!

Funny story about shots. In the Dr's office for routine blood draw about a week ago and someone ended up missing their appointment for the first round of the vaccine. The shelf life is short so they asked me if I wanted it. I get my second round early March. Would have been months if not for some luck.
The game looks epic on paper in my opinion. Old guard hero taking sad sack team to the Super Bowl on his first year out of NE. New kid with huge promise and great skills. Both seem to have some talent around them and at least good coaching. Just seems like there is no way the game won't be incredible...
which is usually a good way to end up with a dud game.
No usual pomp and circumstance with limited fans is going to be weird. I have no dog in the hunt. I would like it to be a good game. I may have a slight lean to the Bucs just because I like Tom Brady and this would seal the GOAT question in my opinion.
You drive safe buddy. Take care of yourself. No need to push it if you don't have to. 650 miles is a long way even without the weather gods throwing it at you. Hard to spend all these hard earned gains from the grave.
Wow. Sounds like a good time to catch up on your reading.
For us it's great now but should be a pretty nasty fire season.
MTLS Thank you both.
Shorts and T shirts??
Now I’ve got weather envy!
Here is Mother Nature’s early February gift to us near me.

Gotta’ love Canada;
Great way to end the week. Have a good one Dad.
You talked about the weather a while back. We have had it pretty easy here. We go below zero for the first time this winter this weekend. Little precipitation and very balmy temps. We have seen highs in the 40s and 50s pretty regularly which is shorts and t-shirt weather here. Looks like you have been getting it for the both of us.
They just have to find someone who wants to buy it.
Before my time, but a bunch of reverse splits and the hype was out before the finished technology. But the technology is here now
Their chart is wild! How did they go from $400 down to under $5!
Got to feel sorry for anyone who got in at that level!
Thanks for suggestion. Will look into them.
Interesting company you should look at SGLB
It will make MTLS's products work better
Sigma Labs and Materialise Enter Into Joint Sales Agreement to Commercialize Newly Integrated PrintRite3D Quality Assurance Technology With Materialise Control Platform

Commercialized Integration to Enable Closed Loop Control
SANTA FE, NM / ACCESSWIRE / March 5, 2020 / Sigma Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ:SGLB) a leading developer of quality assurance software for the commercial 3D printing industry, and Materialise NV (NASDAQ: MTLS), a leading provider of additive manufacturing software and of sophisticated 3D printing services, have agreed to evolve their previously announced memorandum of understanding (MOU) to cooperate on the integration of the Materialise MCP Controller with Sigma Labs' PrintRite3D® technology and have agreed to enter into a binding joint sales agreement to begin beta customer commercialization of the integrated PrintRite3D® and Materialise Control Platform (MCP) product.
The MCP is an embedded hardware and software solution that addresses the growing need for broader and more straightforward control over the additive manufacturing process by giving full control to the end-user. The companies have achieved the integration and are now positioned to offer a unique product solution for retrofit of existing machines, OEM machine integration and closed loop control.
"Growing our partnership with Materialise is a significant milestone for Sigma Labs as we expand our footprint in the market and add momentum to our quest to broaden industry access to our groundbreaking PrintRite3D® software," said Mark K. Ruport, Sigma's executive chairman. "The alignment is a natural step for both companies, as Materialise has a strong presence in the additive manufacturing market and a reputation for quality products. Commercializing and jointly selling this integrated solution will benefit both companies as well as advance the forward momentum of innovation in the 3D manufacturing industry," concluded Ruport.
Thanks for the suggested stock.
Sure no problem.
Thanks for sharing your thought process and investing approach, It's always great to learn how other people approach investing.
Not sure if it is a good idea but my first purchase for something speculative like this is usually very small. In this case less the .2% of my portfolio. I add it to a monitor that I keep. I add it to the ihub names I follow. In this case it would seem like not much of an ihub following. My son was in a robotics club in High School and is now an electrical engineering student in college. He got a 3D printer for Christmas and is a bona fide nerd. He had not heard of DM but had heard of the fiber blend concept. He was keen on that for sure.
Buying small at first means they are on my radar. It doesn't get filed away and forgotten only to have me visit it a year and +100% later. I like the move projected for revenue and the concept is intriguing. As I learn more or opportunity allows, I might add more. It has worked ok so far but that is pretty easy when everything is going up.
If it is ok with you UK, maybe further stuff on DM should be on that board. I know that the moderators have enough trouble keeping us in line as it is. We can be on topic over there. Thanks again.
I must admit the carbon fibre printing is something I'd not seem before.
I'm slightly jealous that you've made a buy decision that quickly! It takes me weeks if not longer to get over mental reservations even after I've convinced myself that a stock is viable!
The whole carbon fiber and layering in a cross hatch pattern sounds like great ways to get to strong and light. It would seem they are selling the material as well. I think I saw over $3,500 a cubic yard (only in America is it not cubic meter, come on America, METRIC SYSTEM). I was a teenager and pretty stoned but I seem to remember somethin called plasteel in the Dune books by Frank Herbert. As I recall, it was a weave of plastic and steel that might even have been manufactured in layers like a 3D printer. Super light, super strong. Totally fantasy back then.
Projections for revenue look pretty good. I am seeing projections of $71.9 million in 2021 and $157.8 million in 2022. The analysts have been way off in the past so could be way off. Either way, I bought a tiny bit on the promise of the materials used. This is another one that could be way over its skis. It's up over 35% YTD and 130% from last year. That seems to be a pattern for ARK stocks. Thanks for the heads up.
Yes, it's funny once I'd heard of them for the first time they kept popping up all over the place including that they were in the ARK ETF!
Apparently I do own them as part of PRNT, a 3D printing ETF. PRNT owns about 4% DM. Thanks for calling them out.
Definitely not a smart people but just looking at the chart, I wish I had been. I never heard of it until today. Thanks for the heads up.
Slightly off topic - is anyone into Desktop Metal (DM)?
I ran across them while looking at SLM again and was wondering if anyone had thoughts? They're similar to ARCAM who I'd invested in a few years back before they were bought out by GE.
Just curious to see if the smart people invested in MTLS think they're an attractive option in the metal AM space.
You as well. Plenty to go around.
MTLS I like your thinking.
GL!
