Hello Everyone.... just doing some dd and noticed that the last CC we had we moved up $.81 or 14% from the previous day... could this be a prelude to what just might happen again? I am sure we will get the bump were looking for.... Let's watch and see ... volume will be the answer to all....
oh yes indeed.... the last 30,000 trades were @ $4.05 looks to me could be starting a nice base floor for our run to $5.00+...
I like the chart and today it's looking beter than is has in the recent past.... if it can get to $4.54 and move thru that 50 day line I would say we have a winner.... but even $4.54 now would look VG .... so let's see how the CC goes tomorrow and we take our surf boards and ride the wave......
With the chart going up I bet Smarttrend changes it's downward trend to an upward trend to this stock this week! Could be on its way toward five bucks by the end of the month. What ya say "loubigfish"?
THE 5 COMPANIES IN THE PAPER PRODUCTS INDUSTRY WITH THE LOWEST PRICE TO FORWARD SALES RATIO -ONP
The ratio shows how much Wall Street values every dollar of the company's future sales and is useful in comparing comparable companies. Generally the lower the ratio, the more attractive the investment.
Orient Paper (NYSE:ONP) has the lowest with a Price To Forward Sales of 0.32x; Wausau Paper (NYSE:WPP) is next with a Price To Forward Sales of 0.33x; and Sappi (NYSE:SPP) has the next lowest with a Price To Forward Sales of 0.36x.
Depends on what happens today. IF investors believe the stock's audited report is going to be in line with it's unaudited version of last month they should be buying the stock today and sell-off some profits after the conference call. I believe this will still leave ONP above $4. Then on Thursday or Friday ROTH will have to comment and re-adjust their outlook on ONP. I believe the next significant support zone will be around 4-4.50. It should stabilize the stock through late summer of between 4-6. We will know by the end of this week either way.
I do agree with you this sector is unstable and no one trusts any stock in this group. Even good earnings don't push it where it should be. Trust has to come back to this group before we see levels of where stocks like ONP should be!
I was'nt trying to say they would fall to that level. Only stating that IMO it's the next significant support zone.
That is very important to look at when your in a market under attack, even if you are confident in what you own.
I'm not sure if I agree with a downturn to 2.85 - 3.00. They are going to have a conference call Wednesday morning. I expect some upswing tomorrow morning and throughout Wednesday. Then I expect Roth to upgrade ONP from their current HOLD of 7 dollar target price to possibly a BUY and a $9 per share. IF I had more money I would be putting it here now...
I agree and still like ONP at this point. The current price is attractive but I'm not much of a flipper so I'll stick to chart basics here and wait for a break of $4 with decent buying volume before considering a new position.
FWIW and Not to be negative but I see the next substantial downside support in the $2.85 - $3 area.
The flippers will move on and the bad companies will go by the wayside. Those good companies (and I believe ONP is one of them) will withstand the fire and provide reassurance to this sector once again. It only takes one good company and an analyst to start the move forward, then some hedge fund will pump the market again. LOL
Still looking for some interest to prop up the pps. Not looking good so far since it broke my $4 support level (read the last line):
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=57189454
Still watching but not playing until they can get back over that $4 level with some real and consistant volume. For now the China syndrome continues to punish people and needs support before any company in this sector can even try to trade normally.
To be honest most of these companies have become nothing more then dishonest trading vehicles. Too bad that wont change when bad companies, bad traders and flippers have taken over most stocks in this market. For now, I'm just a bystander.
Correct and with the profitable income on a consistant basis... that means higher PPS
I was hoping ONP would stay above 4 bucks at least until their audited report comes out. Next week we should see this stock take off. I know Roth will have to finally upgrade it after the audit comes out.

Yes indeed.... I am hoping for a nice run today of 20% alone... then more as we get others involved.. and let's watch the stock today and have some fun doing it....
"Loubigfish", I hope this will ignite some institutional investors. Maybe get Roth Capital to upgrade this stock to a buy and up the target price! But they will have to wait until the audited version comes out next week. WooHoo we should see this stock grow over the next three months! FINALLY some really GREAT NEWS...
More Good News......
For the three months ended March 31, 2011, the Company is expecting to report total unaudited revenue increased 25.6% to approximately $33.2 million from $26.5 million in the first quarter of 2010. During the quarter, the Company experienced lower tonnage sales of corrugating medium paper and lower gross profit margin from sales of offset printing paper sourced from third party suppliers. The Company is expecting unaudited net income to be approximately $4.9 million, or $0.26 per diluted share, up 55.2% from $3.1 million, or $0.21 per diluted share, for the same period last year.
Has smarttrend changed their downward position!? You are right any good news. I'm expecting this to move more solidly after August, when they have all their machines up and running full speed.

A couple of my other stocks are down today, otherwise I would definitely be buying here. This looks like a great time to load up. I believe next time this month we will be wishing we could have bought even more. Don't know what the rush to sell is all about. Guess they see some green in U.S. stocks today and want to get in...
Nice drop .... bought twice on the way down.... time to move up...
Buying lots more on this dip..... join in... were going back up later today
Ok... maybe we jumped too high.. but a slow steady move high is always much better at achieving results.... so let's buy while it's still low and push this gem higher...
absolutely... it's going much higher too. let's watch and see ... volume is everything to the increase....
Moving up up rapidly....this is a chart in perfection... let'er roll up to $5.50...thanks

Hey "lou", nice run up so far today, wish it had kept its 40 cents high, but it is still early, who knows it might even pass it's morning high. Haven't heard any news out of ONP, so I think the big boys must be hearing something. This could definitely go high after they announce their quarterly report and project their future earnings. Go ONP
Hey no need to worry.... everybody attempts to pick up some bargins.... but this will run.. and since you owned it as I did when it was OPAI.... then you know what this stock can do... very profitable and always going unnoticed.... so relax and enjoy the view..... well be going up soon
Let's talk some soon....
Lou
I was a little sad to see this stock go below four dollars so close to the closing bell. Tomorrow is another day. Hopefully some good news comes out of this company soon. I just wish ONP had gone after Muddy Waters for their slanderous reports last year. Since then Muddy Waters has brought down three other companies (Rino, CCME, and their newest victim DGW). Thank goodness I didn't own any of those stocks. I've had ONP since it was an OTC stock named OPAI. I sold over half of my shares when ONP went to 14 bucks! But I still believe this is a great company and bought some back when it went below 6 bucks...
"Loubigfish" glad you are on board with this stock too. We'll be here as others start talking about this stock next month...
Yep your saying what I am thinking... this stock has huge potential....even if it can't sell any shares for hours at a time....lol
I'm watching, just glad it is above 4 bucks at this point. LOL... Just waiting for next financials it should blow past ROTH's predictions and could possibly result in an upgrade from them in May and maybe a new target price!
Well now... we have taken the turn to a positive trend.... will this last? YES!!! Charts look VG and we should rebound up to 20% let's watch and enjoy.
It's just nice to see that someone else is confirming what my chart readings were tell me..
Smarttrend has the ability to "fudge" their up and downtrends. I was watching one stock as they issued a downtrend, then two weeks later as the company began going up, it neglected to say anything about that and issued an uptrend, one month after that the company was really high and Smarttrend said, "We said this would go up a month ago, completely ignoring the fact they issued it to go down 6 weeks before that. 50/50 ONP is going up I say...LOL
NEW NEWS OUT!!!!!

sometimes you just need to buy more going down and averaging but I do think ONP can move back to at least $5.. so let's watch and enjoy
Just a reminder, and not to be negative, options are due this week. Let's hope the run will continue through next week, then I'll believe ONP is on a solid roll.
let us hoop ONP go 20% this week
i still go a lot of lost -41 %
go ONP go
Looks like we are going to make a 20% run this week.... let's all get in and watch this bad boy run
Wow, back to near $5. My guess is its the fallout from the 8k filing from CCME. Good buying opp if anyone still believes in the China micros.
With the Down nearing 250 points down, ONP was a nice play for the day. Sincere thoughts for the Japanese people and their situation.
this is very good news for 2011 look very good
gogogogog ONP time to go to the noord
Read the latest audited report:

Conference call tomorrow and I believe Roth Capitol will replace it's "Neutral" to a "buy" before the end of the week. It has taken a beating for way too long. It's time to start reaping the rewards of its diligence at overcoming Muddy Waters slanderous report.
WOW - you are holding down the fort here. i am new to the boards, but have been posting on ccme for a few weeks now. fantastic board! after their proofs that muddy + citron were BS i looked at other stocks that they had "researched" by muddy + citron + tanked.
consequently i have taken positions in onp - cvvt - yong
i have little doubt that all 4 companies will do very well in the future.
After March 8th R&R Presentation expect great things from ONP. Roth capitol will have to change their "Neutral" outlook to "Outperform" or "Buy"...with a price of $10 or more. Expecting great things from this company starting next week.
Woo Hoo, way to go ONP...Nice outlook for the year. On its way UP, next rise will come when Roth gives it two thumbs up with a "Buy", probably on Monday...
I have been waiting for this to break out for about three months. It looks like it is finally happening. I expect ONP to go up over the next six months. This stock will move back to last year's high of 15 bucks a share, time to load up everyone. The earnings should be positive; their forwarding outlook will include the new equipment! I expect Roth to upgrade the stock to Buy from Neutral, now that everyone has seen the equipment in place and working!!! Way to move ONP.
Oh yeah, shorts are done with it. Jesus, the company showed everyone how clean they are. Time to go up IMO
