FD, thanks for your feedback. I am interested in your posts, and since you have over 230 followers, apparently, so are many others.
Luckily, I'm still minimally invested in HYLN, 10 shares, just enough to maintain interest, waiting to see how things settle down before considering whether or not to buy more shares.
Fred says - "What I think is one of the few things of interest on IHUB." ... To you.
Well that just makes you stupid. What I think is one of the few things of interest on IHUB.
Apparently, pissing people off is your thing.
TAX LOSS SELLING !
This is a great way to get some value from your High Lyin' shares.
Now the good news : The LOWER HYLN goes, the more you can write off.
So all of your fellow longs and all of the shorts are pushing HYLN Down.
I think it is so nice when the interests of both Shorts and Longs are aligned !
Oh Fred - You misunderstand. I do care what others think. I just don't care what YOU think.
Then why are you posting on stock boards? Apparently you do.
Hello Fred - I don't care what YOU think.
When I play craps in casinos, I typically play the don'ts. However I don't openly celebrate when the 7 shows up.
In other words, tone down your shorting gains so as not to piss off those betting on the come.
Apparently we didn't know all that was not going on with the company.
JB, thank you for the insightful response.
WTM - YES ! If you are covering a SHORT POSITION, today is a great day.
No need to wait for the bottom if you are already in the MONEY.
You can't go broke taking your profits to the Bank.
But NO !!!! If you are considering going Long. Not with this management team.
JB, does this represent a good buying opportunity?
WTM - DOWN 35% Pre Market !
Looks like I found another disaster to short.
Hyliion Holdings Announces Strategic Review of Alternatives for Electric Powertrain Business
October 10 2023
https://ih.advfn.com/stock-market/NYSE/hyliion-HYLN/stock-news/92242133/hyliion-holdings-announces-strategic-review-of-alt
Hyliion Holdings Corp. (NYSE: HYLN) (“Hyliion”), a developer of KARNO generator and electric powertrain technologies, today announced that it has engaged strategic expert advisors to explore a range of options for its powertrain business.
The commercial vehicle electrification industry is evolving, with fleets committed to ultimately reducing their environmental footprint through practical solutions. Hyliion, like others, has experienced slower-than-anticipated market adoption as fleets undertake a gradual transition to electric trucks. Hyliion’s ongoing participation in commercial vehicle electrification will require continued investment, while addressing escalating component and production costs, meeting ongoing regulatory requirements, and aligning with a new CARB mandate for fleet adoption of electric trucks.
“While Hyliion’s capital position is currently strong, its proprietary technology is transformative, and commercialization is progressing on track, additional future capital will ultimately need to be raised against the backdrop of uncertain market conditions if we continue on our current trajectory," said Thomas Healy, Founder and CEO of Hyliion. “We therefore believe now is the right time to consider a host of strategic options for our electric powertrain business to ensure that we deploy capital most effectively and maximize value for our shareholders.”
With the recent receipt of CARB certification and the beginning of extended fleet trials with customers, Hyliion has completed all milestones on its publicized path to commercialization of the Hypertruck ERX powertrain. Despite this progress, the company is taking steps to navigate the shifting landscape in commercial vehicle electrification.
Hyliion will continue commercialization of the fuel-agnostic KARNO generator, which the company expects to compete effectively in the stationary generator market due to its superior operating characteristics. Given the rising strain on electrical infrastructure, notably from electric vehicles, the KARNO generator is positioned well to address these challenges. The insights and learnings from the powertrain segment further strengthen endeavors with the KARNO generator.
The company intends to complete the assembly of initial production trucks and continue showcasing the solution in extended fleet trials as it pursues this strategic review process. However, certain efforts will be paused, including securing orders for Hypertruck ERX-equipped trucks and new powertrain development work.
Hyliion will host a conference call at 11:00a.m. ET / 10a.m. CT on Wednesday, October 11 to discuss the strategic review. Those wishing to participate can access the call using the links below:
Conference Call Online Registration:
https://conferencingportals.com/event/QxykXjQU
Access the Webcast:
https://events.q4inc.com/attendee/905274471
Following the conference call, Hyliion will provide updates as required by law or otherwise deemed appropriate by the board. The board of directors has not set a deadline or definitive timetable for the completion of the strategic review, and there can be no assurance that this process will result in any particular outcome.
About Hyliion

The company’s primary focus is providing electrified solutions that offer fleet operators an opportunity to decrease fuel and operational costs, while integrating into existing operations. Located in Austin, Texas, Hyliion designs and develops electrified powertrain solutions suitable for a wide range of Class 8 semi-trucks. Beyond powertrains, Hyliion is developing the KARNO system: a fuel-agnostic, additive manufacturing-enabled generator designed for both stationary power generation and heavy-duty transport, promising heightened efficiency and decreased emissions. The company aims to offer innovative, yet practical solutions to contribute positively to the environment in the commercial transport sector. For further information, please visit www.hyliion.com.
FD, thanks for the input. I'm an investor not a trader, so not looking to flip. I have been following them since their most recent earnings call/presentation. Intrigued by the recent partnership with Hyzon for liquid hydrogen trucks, and the technology they bought from GE and plan to commercialize, both of these seem to be years away though. Their current truck solution is not green, so not too exited about it. I am minimally invested at the moment, waiting for other investments to materialize, to invest some of the gains here. Good luck.
I met the CEO recently and his story somewhat interested me, so I've thrown in some money here. However, nothing in this chart gives me any hope. So, I'm betting on the guy, not the product.
Are you other guys here for something besides a low volume flip?

Tesla Erupts in Flames After Getting Flooded During Hurricane
Story by Matthew Impelli
August 31, 2023
https://www.msn.com/en-us/weather/other/tesla-erupts-in-flames-after-getting-flooded-during-hurricane/ar-AA1g3zCh#:~:text=A%20Tesla%20car%20was%20destroyed%20by%20a%20fire,while%20on%20the%20back%20of%20a%20tow%20truck.
A Tesla car was destroyed by a fire on Thursday in Florida after it was damaged by floodwaters caused by Hurricane Idalia.
Officials with the Pinellas Park Police Department determined the Tesla was destroyed after it caught fire while on the back of a tow truck. A spokesperson for the department told Newsweek that "the owner of the vehicle had it parked in a location near one of the beaches that was flooded with salt water during the storm."
They said that the owner had parked the vehicle near 66th Street North and Park Boulevard. Rather than attempt to move the vehicle himself, he called a tow truck for help. The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. ET and was "primarily a Fire Department call and investigation," according to the spokesperson.
The incident came shortly after Florida's Chief Financial Officer and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis issued a warning to all owners of electric vehicles (EVs), to move them away from areas that could be damaged by floodwaters from Hurricane Idalia.
"We saw a number of fires associated with EVs from Hurricane Ian. We know that the saltwater from storm surge can compromise these batteries, causing fires which cannot be easily suppressed," Patronis said in a statement earlier this week. "The best fire teams can do is keep water on the battery until the fuel burns out. If you're evacuating and leaving an EV, or other lithium-ion powered devices like scooters or golf carts in your garage, you're creating a real fire threat for your home, your communities, and first responders."
Hurricane Idalia made landfall as a Category 3 storm on Wednesday and brought high wind speeds and heavy rainfall to parts of Florida.
In a post to X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday, the National Weather Service in Tampa Bay said: "Catastrophic impacts from storm surge inundation of 12 to 16 feet above ground level and destructive waves are expected somewhere between the Wakulla/Jefferson County line and Yankeetown, Florida. Life-threatening storm surge inundation is likely elsewhere along portions of the Florida Gulf Coast where a Storm Surge Warning is in effect."
A somewhat similar incident happened in Palm Harbor, Florida on Wednesday when fire officials had to rescue a Tesla damaged by flood waters.
"If you own a hybrid or electric vehicle that has come into contact with saltwater due to recent flooding within the last 24 hours, it is crucial to relocate the vehicle from your garage without delay. Saltwater exposure can trigger combustion in lithium-ion batteries. If possible, transfer your vehicle to higher ground," Palm Harbor Fire Rescue said on Facebook.

For those who may not know, HYZN and HYLN are teaming up to commercialize a Class 8 hydrogen fuel cell truck by 2025-2026 using Hyzon's newest 200 kW fuel cell (see the following video recorded during HYLN August 8 Q2 2023 Conference, posted August 10).
UK, if I remember correctly, they expect 600+ range from slighter less kg capacity compared to Nikola trucks.
As you know, I am invested in Nikola, in fact by far my largest investment of the 3 US hydrogen Class 8 truck companies (NKLA, HYZN, and HYLN, in order of investment), I am ruting for all 3 and believe all 3 will succeed.
NIkola can do 500 miles with gaseous hydorgen. I was expecting 1000 miles + for liquid hydrogen trucks. (like they need in Australia)

Demo Run Demonstrate Viability of Liquid Hydrogen for Commercial Trucking Applications and Confirms Diesel-Comparable Range Potential
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Aug. 30, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyzon Motors Inc. (Hyzon) (NASDAQ: HYZN), a high-power hydrogen fuel cell technology developer and global supplier of zero-emission heavy-duty fuel cell electric vehicles, Performance Food Group, Inc. (PFG) (NYSE: PFGC), one of the largest food and foodservice distribution companies in North America, and Chart Industries, Inc. (Chart) (NYSE: GTLS), a leading global manufacturer of highly engineered equipment servicing multiple applications in the clean energy and industrial gas market, today announced successful completion of Hyzon's first commercial run with a liquid hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (LH2 FCEV).
Starting in Temple, TX, the truck completed deliveries to eight PFG customers near Dallas, TX, travelling over 540 miles on a 16-hour continuous run including over 100-degree Fahrenheit temperatures. The run – further than the distance from Sacramento to San Diego – demonstrates the viability of on-board liquid hydrogen to fuel long-distance, zero-emission transport.
"With increased range and no added weight in comparison to our gaseous hydrogen trucks, we believe this liquid hydrogen demo run has demonstrated potential viability for the future of liquid hydrogen in commercial trucking," said Hyzon Chief Executive Officer Parker Meeks. "The results we captured in the strenuous demo through Central Texas's diverse terrain and summer heat make us optimistic that, once commercialized, our liquid hydrogen vehicle powered by our proprietary 200kW fuel cell system should be able to provide long distance range between 650 and 800 miles, on par with many diesel truck range requirements."
Compared to gaseous hydrogen, the current industry standard, liquid hydrogen allows Hyzon to increase the amount of fuel on board significantly thanks to increased energy density, with no changes to vehicle weight or payload. To maintain the energy-dense liquid state, hydrogen requires cold temperatures of negative 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Hyzon partnered with Chart Industries to develop a tank system capable of storing liquid hydrogen at extremely cold temperatures and delivering it to the fuel cell system at the necessary pressure.
"This is a meaningful accomplishment for the hydrogen ecosystem, as long-haul and heavy duty transportation is a key end-use for liquid hydrogen," stated Jill Evanko, Chart's CEO and President. "Our investment in our unique cryogenic liquid hydrogen onboard tank and our liquid hydrogen test facility support progress in the hydrogen industry, with the Hyzon and PFG road demonstration another key step in the evolution of hydrogen commercialization."
Liquid hydrogen as a fuel source has been estimated to be up to $5 per kilogram less expensive all-in to dispense than high-pressure gaseous hydrogen1, which would provide meaningful benefits to fleet owners.
Hyzon CEO Meeks added that "simply put, we see liquid hydrogen as the economical approach to long range zero emission trucking".
For vehicle testing and the demo run, liquid hydrogen transportation, storage and dispensing was provided by Certarus, a North American leader in on-road low carbon energy solutions, with liquid hydrogen produced by Air Liquide.

Here's everything you need to know about the Hyliion Hypertruck ERX, including real impressions from a test rider. Hyliion has taken a unique approach to creating an electric drive vehicle. Instead of being dependent on the electricity grid for power, the Hypertruck ERX is capable of charging its own batteries using natural gas. By using natural gas, many common issues associated with battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) are avoided.

Jammy - Correct. BPZ fell from $29 to ZERO ! BPZ went out of business 10 years ago. I guess I nailed it then too.
What does BPZ have to do with HYLN?
LOL
Who posted this - always bashing. For years now. Warning people.
I am not a basher. I am a vocal critic of BPZ and rightly so.
I have been warning people about how bad an investment BPZ is for years.
