Hutchison is the AT&T of Hong Kong -- that nation's second-largest cellular provider and one of the longest-standing telecom firms in this arena.
According to the latest numbers, Hutchison's "3 Hong Kong" cellular brand controls over 23% of the phone-friendly market here. That equates to 3.37 million users, a number that has been steadily growing with the Hong Kong market, up 13.5% over the past two years.
The company also services Hong Kong's fixed line sector -- which kicks in a solid 30% of the company's revenues.
This market plus a mobile phone sector where each user owns 2.3 phones has kept Hutchison's bottom line growing steadily.
