Idzi.....what can I say? Y-day's market took the wind out of the sails! After hours trading showed some possivity on a piddling number of shares, and this mornings futures look strong.
My main holding GMR reported crap earnings and it declined marketdly after hours, They will pay the promised .50/share divi in the coming months (September) but the board reduced the quarterly divi 76% going forward,,,,,Son of a B!
some institutional activity for HUN..........

Huntsamn corporation stock really on the go.
will it keep on going?
dydd
morning, you know I would, but many and most investors don't
even know a damm thing about fundamentals, so you would end up
explaining everything in detail. The two best guidlines for holding stocks are;
1) find a EPS growth of 25%
2) a sales growth Qtr over Qtr over 20%
right now I don't think Huntsman foots the bill.
Some of the other things to look at when finding great stocks
for the list is:
1)a S&P earnings and dividend rating up B or higher
2)looking at total debt to current asset ratio, 1.10 or less is good. low debt load means a lot, especially today.
3)a strong current ratio above 1.50
4) positive earnings growth for the last 5 years, no earnings deficit
5)have PE ratio of 9 or less
6) price to book value ratio should be around 1.20 or less
7) high paying dividends yields, pays for waiting for the stock to appreciate.
maybe come fall when I get less busy, I'll revamp the ibox,
HUN should be in the teens by then and the economy should show signs of improvement. Here in South Jersey, things are
busy as hell, but the casinos are complaining about low revenues and traffic. Maybe they are just mainipulating the books a little and filling up the cookie jar for later.
more later and
have a safe Sunday

Good morning idzi,
I see that you're a TA kinda trader (nice)
but could you also put a little fundamentals in the ibox as well so people can see what the company actually does? I believe HUN is also a good long term hold just based on some of the fundamentals/financials. Definitely a nice growth stock.

Amazon.com's (Nasdaq: AMZN) electronic reading device, the Kindle, has received all kinds of attention. The Kindle has proven popular enough that competitors have come sniffing around. Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL), for example, is reportedly working on a similar kind of reading device.
Many observers have discussed how the Kindle will change the way we read. But I've heard another, seemingly less vital, concern: The Kindle challenges snobbery, and stifles our human curiosity and connection-seeking.
Here's how the argument goes: We often broadcast who we are by what we're seen reading (The Economist vs. USA Today, or Proust vs. The DaVinci Code), and we also gather information about others by what we see in their hands and on their bookshelves. In a recent issue of Vanity Fair, James Wolcott addressed this issue head on, asking, "How can I impress strangers with the gem-like flame of my literary passion if it's a digital slate I'm carrying around, trying not to get it all thumbprinty?"
Your portfolio's snob appeal
The same thing goes for our portfolios. No one really sees them except us. Just as, unbeknownst to us, a Kindle carried by a seemingly sophisticated reader might be chock full of florid romance novels, a seemingly sophisticated and successful investor might actually have a portfolio full of long-shot penny stocks.
Now, I'm fairly comfortable with my portfolio, and I'd suspect you are with yours as well. But still, the fact that they're private means that we may do things that we wouldn't do if everyone could see the actions we took.
For instance, I recently ran across MEMC Electronic Materials (NYSE: WFR). I noticed its 25% profit margins and its position within the semiconductor and solar industries. For some people, that might be enough to buy shares without any further research. But if people had to reveal their stock holdings, perhaps plastered on your rear windshield like college stickers, then they might think twice before they bought those shares. After all, someone might actually ask you some questions about the company -- and you wouldn't want to embarrass yourself by not being able to answer them.
Even Buffett
Berkshire Hathaway's (NYSE: BRK-B) Warren Buffett has offered a similar line of thinking. He has advised the managers of the companies he owns, "Make sure everything you do can be reported on the front page of your local newspaper written by an unfriendly, but intelligent reporter." That's because when the world is looking, we're less likely to take short cuts or do ill-advised things.
So think about what your portfolio would look like if your stock holdings were published in the newspaper or posted on your front door. Perhaps you'd want to own some solid dividend growers, such as Automatic Data Processing (NYSE: ADP) and AFLAC (NYSE: AFL) -- the kind that will help you sleep at night and whose merits are obvious. You might also want some smaller companies in industries you understand, such as perhaps the chemical company Huntsman (NYSE: HUN) or the brokerage E*TRADE (Nasdaq: ETFC). (Smaller companies can have an edge in some markets.) It's also smart to include some international holdings, to benefit from other global economies, especially those growing faster than our own.
Your portfolio, in other words, would look respectable to others -- and to you. It would be balanced, with fast and slow growers, big and small companies, domestic and international enterprises. It would have snob appeal, and wouldn't embarrass you -- just like the excellent biography of Benjamin Franklin I've been reading, with its hard cover revealed for all the world to see.
Nice boat! Maybe I'll be able to get one too with all the HUN profits :)
hold the course, Huntsman will be way over $10/share by year end.

good morning i think of you everyday will talk soon be ready my freind
hey idz,
can you add me as an assist to add the news in the ibox as well along with some company data?
thanks!
Good morning idzi
HUN is my largest investment position.
I'm looking forward to that run as well :)
the worst is behind Huntsman for now, S&P improved credit rating, lots of cash, business improving, should bode well for the future.
I'm looking for a good position all the way to at least $13,
you can see that on the weekly chart. HUN putting in good support at $5, no matter what, HUN looks excellent for a 3 to 10 month trend going up, December should be very rewarding for HUN shareholders.
good luck to all

Huntsman Reaches Settlement With Banks for $1.73 Billion of Cash and Financing
THE WOODLANDS, Texas, June 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Huntsman Corporation (NYSE:HUN) today announced it has reached agreement with Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank (the "Banks") to settle Huntsman's claims and end the ongoing trial against them in Texas state court for fraud and tortious interference in connection with Huntsman's terminated merger agreements with Basell and Hexion Specialty Chemicals, Inc.
Under the terms of the settlement agreement, the Banks are providing the following to Huntsman today:
-- $620 million in cash -- $500 million senior secured term loan financing, 7 year term at LIBOR + 2.25% -- $600 million unsecured note financing, 7 year term at 5.5%
-- $12 million reimbursement of litigation costs
Including the $1.0 billion settlement with Hexion and Apollo in December of 2008, cumulative settlement proceeds total in excess of $2.7 billion. The settlement proceeds from the Banks will be used to repay certain of Huntsman's outstanding indebtedness and further enhance the company's liquidity. The company intends to continue to pay its quarterly dividend of $0.10 per share. It is currently expected that Huntsman will use settlement proceeds to repay its $295 million of senior secured notes (due 2010, rate of 11.625%). Huntsman also intends to substantially reduce the size of its current revolving credit facility due 2010. Huntsman expects the $620 million of cash proceeds to incur cash taxes at a rate of approximately 23% which will eliminate its domestic tax net operating loss position.
Peter Huntsman, President and CEO, stated: "This settlement with the Banks marks a very successful conclusion to this litigation for the company and all of its stakeholders. The cash and financing will enhance our already enviable cash position to more than approximately $1.7 billion and provide us much greater flexibility as we manage our business. The financing offers us a much lower average cost of borrowing and extends the maturities of our borrowings such that the earliest meaningful maturity is July 2012. We are well positioned to prosper as we move forward past this concern."
Jon M. Huntsman, Founder and Executive Chairman of Huntsman Corporation, commented: "I am very pleased with this settlement by the Banks. Our officers and trial team did an outstanding job at trial and I believe this settlement reflects those efforts and the integrity with which our company conducts its business. We will put these proceeds to good use as we press forward to write the next successful chapter of our company history."
Pro forma net debt as of March 31, 2009 reduces from $3.3 billion to $2.8 billion. Below is a summary of the company's debt, pro forma adjusted to include the likely use of settlement proceeds:
