"MERGER MAGNET", yes, I agree, TaubyTaub:)
Bank of Canada Currency converter https://www.bankofcanada.ca/rates/exchange/currency-converter/
that is 1.91 Canadian, right?
Supposed to be a vote in August right? Vote NO
Hiku CEO screwed investors. Why would they take 20% premium to stock price when Aurora bought Med Releaf for 1.5 billion. So, Canopy bought them for pennies. This stock will never see even near $4 again. Total bait and switch. FU Hiku.
Canopy smelly rich
im out see you at square :)
So how does it benefit us current stock holders for it to go north of $1.91 if the conversion and price is set in the deal? What happens if it went to $3.00 a share before they close it down. How does that benefit us? Sorry I just need a little education here.
The deal values the stock at $1.91.
It will most certainly hit that.
Yes, until it is done.
Btw, I was already out...
Hahahaha!!
it will trade until the vote is in and the shares exchanged, so vote NO!!
Will it still trade since there’s a buyout?
Should get interesting here very soon TT.
Canopy Growth to acquire Hiku Brands to strengthen retail and brand portfolio
Jul. 10, 2018 3:50 PM ET
Canopy Growth (CGC -1.8%) and Hiku Brands (OTCPK:DJACF +1.7%) are pleased to announce that they have entered into a definitive arrangement, in which Canopy Growth will acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Hiku.
Under the terms of the agreement, Hiku shareholders will receive 0.046 of a Canopy Growth common share in exchange for each common share of Hiku.
The transaction provides Hiku shareholders with a premium of 33% based on the 20-day volume weighted average prices of the Canopy Shares and the Hiku Shares as of July 9, 2018, and a premium of 21% based on the closing prices of the Canopy Shares on the TSX and the Hiku Shares on the CSE on July 9, 2018.
Pretty cheap.
Jeez, we paid 10 million to weedmd so canopy could pay us a lousy 33% premium? this was an easy double in the near future and I would not be surprised if it was considerably more. I seem to get screwed so much I can't stand up straight any more.
Crap, I can't believe those bastards screwed their shareholders so bad.

Hiku is focused on building a portfolio of iconic, engaging cannabis brands, immersive retail experiences and handcrafted cannabis production. With a national retail footprint led by Tokyo Smoke, craft cannabis production through DOJA’s ACMPR licensed grow, and Van der Pop’s female-focused educational platforms, Hiku houses an industry-leading portfolio that sets the bar for cannabis brands in Canada.
Tokyo Smoke is an award-winning cannabis brand that brings sophistication and design to the fast-growing industry. With immersive experiences and design-first retail spaces selling coffee, cannabis accessories and design products, the brand has six locations in Canada, with plans to expand nationwide. Recently named "Brand of the Year" at the Canadian Cannabis Awards, Tokyo Smoke has developed an international reputation as the go-to destination for engaging content offerings within the industry.
Van der Pop is one of North America's most recognized female-focused cannabis brands. Founded in 2016, Van der Pop is the cannabis digest for discerning women. With an emphasis on discretion, education and style, the aim is to enhance flower-powered pleasures through a thoughtful and candid exploration of cannabis. Through an editorial platform, weekly newsletter, social sites, product line and SESSION events, Van der Pop explores cannabis and how it relates to self-care, health, wellness and socialization.
The combination of Hiku and WeedMD creates a premium cannabis brand house with fully vertically integrated operations, an expanding network of retail stores, a growing medical business and four scalable cannabis production facilities, two of which are currently licensed. As a result of the Transaction, Hiku will operate a diverse cannabis supply chain that includes a large portfolio of unique genetics for its growing brand portfolio and emerging nationwide retail sales channels. The entity combines Hiku’s strength in retail and branding – ensuring a high quality, consistent and educational consumer experience in the adult-use cannabis market – with WeedMD’s existing service and quality in the medical market.
One of Hiku’s key differentiators is our ambition and ability to create a high-quality consumer experience. We believe that a brand’s approach to attracting new customers while retaining current ones should be top of mind during every step of a store’s ideation and operations. Our brick-and-mortar outposts are a reflection of the principles that make a retail concept both iconic and lucrative: attention to design, an innovative and considered product offering, and knowledgeable staff.
Hiku is thrilled to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Tokyo Smoke, has been conditionally awarded one of four master licenses for retail cannabis sales in Manitoba. The license gives Tokyo Smoke the ability to operate legal retail cannabis stores and an online cannabis sales platform in Manitoba. Being awarded a license is a validation of our business model and vision of creating an unsurpassed retail experience for cannabis consumers. We look forward to participating in future licensing processes across the country to grow our national retail footprint and bring our unique retail experience to more Canadians.
DOJA’s premium craft cannabis is grown in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley by a passionate team using industry-leading cultivation techniques to bring out the fullest expression of the plant's genetics. DOJA prides itself on taking a handcrafted, artisanal approach to trimming and curing its flowers, the result of which is the finest cannabis with exceptional aroma, flavour and effects. Annual licensed production capacity is currently 660 kgs per year and is expected to increase to over 5,000 kgs per year by the end of 2018 upon completion of the FUTURE LAB.
At Hiku, we are poised to lead Canada, and the world, towards cannabis normalization as the premier cannabis brand house. Our team is comprised of leaders from retail, finance, product design, content, cultivation, and technology. They have spent their careers observing and listening, directing and reshaping industries. The combination of world-class education, executive business experience and entrepreneurial spirit means our brands are growing under the guidance of unrivaled expertise. We look forward to thoughtfully and responsibly bringing cannabis to consumers, leading the industry into the next great chapter of its history.
