The GTO...man, the 60's were a great time for cars, huh? Until '71-72, I guess? Forget when they started castrating them. Detroit was really putting some nice product out until then.
Can't believe you used GTO and Chevette in the same sentence lol. Hell, can't believe they came from the same manufacturer! LOL!
After I came back from Viet Nam I hadn't been married very long and we decided that the 65 GTO wasn't as practical to keep so we sold it and got a Chevette instead. Try as I might I just couldn't get it to do one of those blowover wheelies! lol!! Man do I wish I still had the Goat though!!
Every payday when I had the car in high school meant a trip to J and M Speed Center where they would see me coming in the door and throwing something up on the counter and telling me that I could get two tenths of a second faster if I put that on. SOLD!!! Perfect sales pitch, worked every time! lol!!
Basser
Yup Dennis was more of a target shooter and Kevin seemed to prefer the scatter approach!! The target shooter grew up as more a type A personality and shotgun kid is a lot more laid back. They both turned out pretty good though and we couldn't be prouder of both of them.
Basser
those damn Chevettes! LMAO!
lol one used a rifle and the other used a shotgun, huh?
Morning again Stratman!
Hey the jet car was bad acting but that school bus was the best!! Of course you know that to get the front tires of that bus off the ground they had to make all the fat kids sit in the back and that is just not politically correct no matter how ya slice it!! lol!!
Good morning Strat!
That is one cute little kid you got there!!! The high chair pictures bring back the memories of when our kid were that size and we had the same experience with the projectile pea spitting contests. I think our oldest might just have had the distance record but the youngest got the most full coverage of the tray and himself so I guess it was a tie!
Basser
Get to school on time lmao:
Now you got me all over utube looking at those things lol.
Well, feel free to post up some more pics of the Bee, ya know. I love looking at pics. The '36 as well, if you want.
Got a few new pics...more video than anything nowadays...I take lots of vid, burn it onto DVD's, then send them to the Grandparents. Really should just open a Taylor channel on YouTube lol. Be a lot easier!
Getting ready for a walk:
Aquarium visit (bet that puffer was pissed when the flash went off lol. Took another w/out flash but it's soft)
Peas or Broccoli..can't remember...first bit was "ecch" but then it was "mmmmmmm....". I had the second one printed as an 8x10. Can't wait to break it out when she's 16 and all full of herself lmao.
These are what caused global warming but they sure put on a show for the fans while they were doing it!!
Thanks One thing I'm not short of is pics of my car! LOL
The 36 Plym was painted (plum crazy) but not wet sanded yet. The Bee is still in the wait mode
Any new pics of baby T??? She sure has Daddy tied around her little finger!! I bet you sleep well at night for all your day activities! ROFL!!
Excellent, bud. The "can do" spirit. Such a rare thing today. Today it's "give me" "pay my mortgage" "forgive my debt" "bail me and my fat cat buddies out". This country needs a big wake up call and I think we're getting ready to see it, unfortunately. Bad part is, so many innocent people will be hurt.
Sorry to hear about you having to cut a client loose in these times, but if he was a jerk then the lack of headaches are worth something. You'll find a new one to fill the void. Tough times require creative marketing, right? Businesses can cut corners in many places, but seems to me that getting the word out is still vital. Perhaps even more vital nowadays, huh?
Oh - the alias' lol. It was time to put #21 to rest, and 80Stingray is my bass but I was tired of the name so I went with my guitar, a Fender Stratocaster "FatStrat" lol.
Holy crap - how about that? What an awesome pic! The Bee looks good! What's the latest on it? Paint job, right? Or was that the Hot Rod? Or both? LOL I'm outta touch with all the going's on. The baby's sitter has been out of town for about two weeks, so I've been full throttle. Finally got a break today. She's wearing me out! Not like it was a few months ago when she just laid around and looked cute...noooo...."pick me up, carry me around, I wanna see that, I wanna touch this, let me crawl, give me that"....sheesh! I'm sure you remember the drill lol.
thanks FS, we're doin alright what with market conditions, the stock, slowing business etc.. Just have to focus and work a little smarter, go around certain obsticles and so forth..BUT remain determined, energenic, positive and organized..these are the thoughts for this day..cause yesterday I had to let one of my clients go for good...and you know what they say, it takes weeks or months to develop a client and only a second to lose them..geesh the guy was such a jerk I am looking forward taking him off my advertising..
hope all is going well with you also forever21 , hey what happened to 80Stingray? LOL
uplistaguy

IKAG starting to build up as many aliases LMAO

GM HS! I'll tell ya, that mojo is one of the biggest scumbags on ihub lol. I had him on iggy but reading your response led me to his childish post. Looks like he's bashing EESO now after cashing out and leaving the board lmao. What a cockroach. Reminds me of someone else that left a stock but continues to stalk and bash it, eh? Ol' Petey's got it bad, I guess. Kinda like the guy whose girl dumps him but he just can't let her go. Can't stand to see others having fun with her, so he continues to harass her and run her down lmao!
Hope all is well with you and yours, bud!
lol Goodmorning you guys and gals (Bee's) :)
FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT DARN IT!!
WHERE'S MY WHISTLE? lol
Oh that's funny!! That youtube was done up in Carlisle PA and I don't know if it was the same weekend we saw him at the track there, but check it out. I was going for a trophy in my class.. and what's that parked behind me??
LOL Good morning Strat
Glad the 'posterity' post was put here! I guess you know me too well, eh? :)
Whoaaa...flashbacks dude! I had that thing as a Hot Wheel or slot car or something many many moons ago.
Well said, Hot Sauce! That clown knows all about pumping POS's lol. He's had a few go no bid under his pump and he's laughing at this stock and it's holders? LMAO! Really shows the character of some, huh?
(for posterity lol!)
Hey there bro!
In the pits you can get up pretty close to the cars and pit passes are included in the ticket price. At 62 bucks for the tickets you should be able to get up close and personal. lol!! really though you can get way to close to the fuel cars when they start them up in the pits but there are still those dumbasses that are right there sucking up the fumes from the nitro with tears streaming down their faces!! I haul my big butt outta there when I hear one of the cars fire up because I prefer my nitro to be filtered with some fresh air from a little bit of distance.
I used to watch this little truck in the olden days when they had wheelie cars at almost all of the events.
Basser
Sounds like a great time. How close can you get to the cars? Do they have tours/displays or stuff like that set up? Post some pics!
ESPN had a great shot from inside Ashley's car that really showed the gforces that are cranking out there. Off the line her head is pinned against the seat, but she has some wheel shake and gets off the throttle for a spilt sec, so her head comes forward a bit. When she's got it lined back up, she punches it and her head gets tossed back like a rag doll's lol. Crazy power in those things.
LOL! That nitro smell stays in the nose for hours on end! But cripes I love it!! And I love how the ground shakes too.. and the sound of those hemis/engines..
I saw that prince.. Al-something.. Al-abeem? Heckifiknow, but I remember seeing him there and in jeans too! Now there's a guy who can afford the hobby!
It was the first time at the drags for one of my son's friends and I pointed out to him that the best place to be when they fire up the fuel cars in the pits is right on the barrier rope right up close. Of course when they fired up the car I ran like a deer to get away from the fumes! I love the smell of nitro in the morning but not right up close and personal. That green gas that comes out of the cars makes it feel like you have a bus parked on your chest and burns your eyes till water runs like rain down your cheeks. He appreciated the tip on enjoying the experience more!!!! lol!!!
A prince from Qatar started a team and when I looked in the pits all the tools that the team was using were all 24 carat gold and studded with diamonds and rubies. Best looking wrenches I have ever seen! Kidding!!! But they do have a lot of money behind them and they should do real well.
Basser
LOL it sounds like you all had a blast, even with the rain delays! And I'm still jealous!!
Glad you guys had fun, Mr HTBH, aka hard to be humble.. LOL!
We had a blast even though we only saw one round of the fuel cars. We ate like it was going to be the last time that we would see food for months. We had some hunters in the group and they brought Elk steaks and some other game meats with them. I brought some buffalo burger that we cooked up for burritos. We stayed pretty cozy under all the shade tents and the fooseball table got some heavy use during the breaks. Of course I wore everybody out on the table because I have a gift I guess, that and the fact that Hotsauce and I play every day was a part of the amazing play on my part.
It is hard to be humble but I am working on it!!! lol!!!
Basser
I told ya basser!! You must have done that rain dance in reverse and it worked!! Plus the racing Gods did what they always do up in Watkins Glen.. rain and clouds all around, and sun on the track!
Good morning there Strat man,
Well we picked the right day to go and the rain was at least a little bit on our side. We left my house and it was raining like it was going out of style. When we pulled in at the racetrack it was nice(cold!!) So we made some breakfast and played a little fooseball before going to watch the cars run. I brought the table because I thought it was going to rain all day. Watching the clouds they seemed to split and go around each end of the track.
There was no limit to the traction for the fuel cars and everybody was shaking the crap outta the tires. It was great though because there weren't very many people there so there was plenty of room in the grandstands.
It is still raining there this morning but it looks like it is getting ready to clear up pretty quick according to the radar on the news. They will run the rest of the rounds today in front of the 15 people that will show up to be entertained.
Have a good one bro
Basser
lol funny stuff! What a life lol.
Hey how'd the races turn out for you guys? I watched a little of it. Saw a lot of tire shakin' goin' on. Some damn good driving to keep those beasts under control.
Yeah I can just see Donna doing the backflips down the street screaming at the top of her lungs,"Boy am I glad I was able to give the ex 2.5 million shares,WHOOPEEEE!!!" Petey the pie hole man does need a little vacation at the rubber resort!!
Basser
Global warming....Gore's honeypot lol. You see the FL footage of the manatees huddled together where a power plant dumps warm water back into the sound? Reminded me of the pics of the moose huddled around the alaskan pipelines lol.
In the 70's they were calling for a new ice age, but then global warming was the new darling of the eco-zealots and doom and gloomers. From where my cold ass sits, I'm thinking the boys from the 70's might have been on to something.
Ol Hot Sauce was telling me about your trip to the races. That's gonna be way cool. The engines are amazing, but I'd love to see one of those clutches up close...bet it's built like a tank. Transferring all the power without boiling the tires...wild stuff. Take plenty of pics, and if you see the Force girls tell them FatStrat sez hey, ya hear?
If you guys come back with pics of that kinda drag racing I'm gonna be worried, bro. LOL!
Hey what's up with your BFF Lil' peter? LOL that sob gets nuttier every day, huh? He think Donna WANTED to give up those shares? Crazy, man, crazy! Reservations at the Rubber Room Inn for 1, please!
What ya think Strat does this look like illegal drag racing to you?
hehe basser
Man the weather has been so sucky for you guys in the east. Where is all that global warming crap that Al Gore was spouting off about? It is supposed to rain here on Saturday and that should kind of suck because we are going to the Winternationals to watch the fuelers run. They don't crank those cars up on the wet track because it is hard enough to get 7000 hp to the track and make it stick on dry ground.
Fitzgerald would look good in Skins colors. That guy is just plain bad ass. Cards have a lot of good receivers with three guys over a thousand yards.
I haven't been out much because if it hasn't been cold here the wind has been blowing like a bitch. We get 60 mile an hour gusts through my back yard. I cant keep the electric pontoon boat in one spot long enough to get more than one cast to a spot so it makes it tough to track the fish down.
Stay warm and hang out with the baby and it is all good!
Basser
Same here, bro. Polamalu bit on the short route but the corner already had that guy covered, so it was a dumb move. Fitz split it and hit the afterburners. Boy, what I wouldn't give to have him in a Redskins jersey. As inaccurate as Campbell is, it wouldn't matter cuz that guy has the reach and the hands.
Look at that beast in your pic...I get all tingly just thinking about it lol. I don't suppose you've gotten out much, have you? Not me, for sure. Even if I wasn't wrapped up in Baby, it's like 25 degrees here today.
I really thought the Cards had pulled it off when I saw Fitzgerald running right between those safeties. Steelers were playing the safeties a mile off of the ball and that middle was so wide open.
It wasn't just the last catch that Holmes made that was a beauty, all four of them were clutch jobs with a couple of them coming on not so good throws. That last throw was right on the money and couldn't have been much closer to perfect.
I know that Puxotani Phil said that there is going to be six more weeks of winter but one of these guys is out there waiting for you to toss some bait in front of him! lol!!
Basser
nice, I remember a couple years ago seeing John do the quarter at .04666, 330 mph, down by the start line we had ear plugs for sure, your whole body shook.. man thats incredible mechanics!!
You've got it!!!
Darn Cards almost had it too.. grrrrr!!!
Yep. You don't call a super bowl that tight. Unless it's blatant, let it slide. Steelers conspiracy!! lol
that's cool to hear. Force used to bug me with that big cheesy smile and nonstop chatter lol. I guess I'm used to it now.
Those cars nowadays...man. I used to build models of The Snake and The Mongoose dragsters. Engines mounted in front of the driver...always wondered how they drove those things. Can barely see and got a bomb right in your face lmao.
I agree on the ones you mentioned.. and definitely the roughing the passer BS. How the heck are they supposed to stop or swerve or put on the brakes when running full steam ahead? BS call for sure.
There were a TON of missed tackles at the end there!
And a mighty fine but cold morning to you too HS#5 :)
lol morning! Yeah a couple of silly ones - the no call on the excessive celebration and the roughing the holder lol. What a joke. I think there was a BS roughing the passer call in there as well.
The one thing that really sticks out is the INT for a TD. How do you not get that guy down? Did you see Larry Fitzgerald run into his own man during the pursuit? Fitz gets pushed out of bounds a few feet and there's a Cardinal standing right on the sideline just watching the return instead of getting the hell out of the way lol. If Fitz doesn't run into him he makes the tackle and time runs out most likely.
Ifs and buts lol!
yes all those. Back in the day I was a limo driver for the exects for Castrol and the Force team, great group, the kids were just kids back then and too young to drive I used to take them to the mall for birthday gigs..a big yippeee.. but it paid the bills and was fun to meet the celebs and ceo's..yada yada now..
oh ya, Nitro!! LOL yep it might rain, hope not.
goodmorning Bee!:)
I'm so jealous!! I hope the weather holds up for you this weekend too. Basser said it was supposed to start raining tomorrow I think? Either way... you need sunny skies and the smell of nitro in the morning!
Get some good pics!!
Cool! Yeah take lots of pics. Is that the big boys race? Top Fuel? Rails? All that jazz? I'm not a "fan", but I watch it whenever I see it on. John Force has some cute daughters, huh? And dey can drive lol!
ROFL yeah riiight! There were a couple of calls that were pure BS in my opinion... BUT, the refs definitely were better than the last time the Steelers played and had the game given to them!
Oh! And good morning Strat!
