everyone and their brother have a strip on the market. the strip you are referring to is for 'sore throats' only. that is not what their strip is treating. remember, theirs fights dehydration. completely differnt products.
currently nobody has something for that segment. hopefully they can win that race
The Big Boys are here.
Ora Gel has chidrens medicated strips for sore throats on the shelves in all major drug chains/supermarkets. They can"t keep them in stock-sales unbelievable- bought some for my grandaughter-they work great.
I heartily agree with your assessment of their product worth. Additionally, you are correct about the slow , almost ponderous movement here. But I truly believe the new CEO has a firm grasp of what is necessary to make this a strong company. However, because of miss-plays previously, and allowing a segment to catch up, the playout will take longer. They do have a good product and are attempting to exercise it in multiple venues. The question remains: "Can they do it quickly enough before the really big boys get into the playing field?" I am waging that they can and have put $$$ where my mouth is. Patience with this one. Ya know??
i think this has potential. getting on the shelves is a big step. you gotta crawl before you can walk and i think they're thier way. As weather breaks and summer approaches it'll gain some momentum. I think its holding because the product is sound, just a matter of increasing awarenss and consumer demand.
so im curious....their year end is 12/31....first quarter just ended and still no 10k? no NT-10k....what gives?
LOL- I'm in the same boat with you- looked at it a few times, and recently poped up when looking at the sports/health sector.
When I was in Florida back in January for the Disney marathon, they had a rep at the expo there, so checked out the booth. Talked to a David Reid, and he stated the sports product was gaining momentum. My wife (marathon runner) used the product, and had no ill effects on her performance, and din't complain about the taste/texture.
I'm still on the sidelines though. Hard to compete with the energy drink biz.
I would need more info. to make a judgment either way. I'm not in this right now. I'm actually quite surprised that it has not fallen farther during slow periods. I've looked at it off and on for 3 or 4 months now, and it has been between around .35 and .55. Not a huge spread for a penny stock really. I wonder what keep it up there. Are there a lot of holders who are holding long? Why doesn't it get shorted heavily like a lot of other stocks out there?
The GNC deal should help HSPO.
Not much additional to revenue, imo.

I have been following this company for a few months, and picking up a few shares now and then. Very exciting potential but they need to ramp up soon to beat the competition at their game. Need to get those new production lines running ASAP. Should be an interesting meeting tomorrow evening.

HealthSport and Unico Holdings Ink 5-Year Distribution Deal
Tuesday, March 11 2008 - 8:01
HSPO $0.37 $0 (%0)
AMHERST, N.Y., March 11, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- HealthSport, Inc. (OTCBB:HSPO), a fully integrated developer, manufacturer and marketer of nutritional supplements and drug actives in a patented edible film strip delivery system, announced today that Unico Holdings, Inc. (http://www.unico-holdings.com), a Florida based company, has agreed to a 5-year deal to market and sell its Enlyten(r) PediaStrips(tm) (http://pediastrips.com), as well as market the PediaStrips(tm) as a Private Label product for companies in drug, grocery, mass market, dollar store and drug wholesaler outlets across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
PediaStrips(tm) are designed to deliver electrolytes to children who are at risk for dehydration due to contracted gastrointestinal illnesses. These pleasant tasting strips are rapidly dissolved and absorbed through the cheek and gums accelerating replenishment of sodium and potassium. Children can then drink their beverage of choice to complete the rehydration process. Dehydration and electrolyte depletion pose a serious health threat to children, and the advantages of film strip delivery promise to improve compliance and promote healthy outcomes.
"We are excited about the new partnership we have established with HealthSport, Inc.," said Ed Finnegan, CEO of Unico Holdings, Inc. "As we look at our overall strategic plan, aligning ourselves with technologically advanced companies like HealthSport puts us in a position to provide our current customer base with innovative new products within general product categories in which we already serve them. We view this as the first of several phases in our partnership with HealthSport to launch new innovative products together. This partnering creates an immediate benefit with efficiencies for us and retailers alike to provide "one stop shopping" and one central product distribution channel as we add the HealthSport products to the wide array of products that we already provide to our customers."
"Unico is a perfect fit for our technologically advanced electrolyte strip products", said Robert Kusher, CEO of HealthSport, Inc. "Unico is the leader when it comes to store brand electrolyte liquid products. All the top retailers in the U.S. have partnered with Unico to manufacture and distribute their private label electrolytes drinks. We now have the opportunity to develop and provide unique products that fit nicely into the current retail schematics for these customers. The immediate impact is exciting and the potential future opportunities are endless. The agreement calls for a minimum of $22 million in product purchases over the 5 year period in order for Unico to maintain its exclusive distribution rights. We anticipate exceeding the agreed upon minimums in the contract. The Unico deal is an example of the type of business relationships we have been working towards. We plan on using this base to launch additional products utilizing our patent pending RASER (Rapid Acting, Side Effect Reducing) technology."
GNC to add HealthSport''s Enlyten SportStrips
Wednesday, March 05 2008 - 9:14
HSPO $0.37 $0 (%0)
AMHERST, N.Y., March 5, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- HealthSport, Inc. Enlyten SportStrips provide electrolyte replacement without sugar, carbohydrates or calories.
"Having our SportStrips available at GNC locations nationally positions our product for brand awareness and growth with their current customer base. The share price is selling at a 70% discount!
Fixstrips are now at the HARD ROCK!!
http://biz.yahoo.com/pz/080222/136880.html
New Fixstrip coming!!
HSPO is coming out with a mint flavored Fixstrip. I don't know if they have done anything with the basic formula which I think is excellent already. If you haven't tried Fixstrip, Stripup.com is selling the original at a 70% discount!! At the end of the order, put in the code: 70%Fix02202008 HSPO seems to have a good set of products and are expanding. I believe it just a matter of time before their PPS takes off or the company is purchased at a premium to present shareholders.
Are there products other then the strips ready in R&D? If they can use the strips to promote new distribution partnerships then the channels would be in place to get new products to the end user quicker after FDA approval. This would allow for quicker gains in the long term.
With over 20 years of experience in marketing, promotions, and celebrity endorsements with major companies,,,,

http://biz.yahoo.com/pz/070109/111531.html
Worth reviewing for anyone who doesn't know who Dan Kelly is.
The addition of Dan Kelly was a perfect fit for this company imo. I'm glad he's staying as President.
When Dan Kelly took the position, the stock was 2.00.Why do we need him to continue?
stripon is correct. I emailed Healthsport and asked.
Dan Kelly remains as President of HealthSport.
HSPO beefs up mgmt team to exploit its technology on a broader scale. While the PR doesn't state it, Dan Kelly is to remain as a senior executive of HSPO.
I was in DICK'S SPORTING GOODS today, and bought ENLYTEN SPORT STRIPS. These are Christmas gifts for some friends that are runners. The athlete pack contains 3 cassettes of 18 strips per cassette.....nicely designed package...vanilla berry is the flavor I picked out....they are located in the soccer and runners merchandise sections on plastic attachment strips in several locations...each location is a different flavor....retail price..$7.97 a pack, plus tax.
Manager stated they are selling quite well!
OT: ...No Gator-aide was available in the store.
A few ( evidenced by low daily volume ) weak hands are selling because of lawsuit...actually one way or another HealthSport will survive without NFL sales.. although winning the lawsuit is a big plus for HealthSport.
Regardless, share price is on verge of big turn-around.
HSPO is a great $$$$$ opportunity.
More great news today.....share price will be moving upwards very soon.
AMHERST, N.Y., Dec. 6, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- HealthSport, Inc.(OTC BB:HSPO.OB - News), a fully integrated developer, manufacturer and marketer of branded nutritional supplements in a one-of-a-kind edible film strip delivery system, announced today that Midwest retail giant, Meijer, has agreed to purchase and sell Enlyten PediaStrips (http://enlytenstrips.com). This innovative new product formulated by InnoZen, Inc., HealthSport's research and manufacturing facility, provides an edible film strip-delivery system that contains sodium, potassium and chloride. PediaStrips are designed to deliver these electrolytes to children who are at risk for dehydration due to vomiting or diarrhea.
If float is approximately 5 Mil. shares, we easily can see a "pop" of 20, or 30% in one trading session. You can bet with all the new distributors coming aboard, some new investor money is coming in. Nice to see insiders have been buying shares as well.
I agree that this is an opportunity. HSPO is building a foundation of distributors. Each time they approach another, they can point to the increasing number of other distributors and the upward trend. This can become a buyout candidate as well. They have a super product with all sorts of possibilities, an increasing revenue (although presently small), with an apparently aggressive sales staff. It's true that a positive Gatorade resolution would go a long way, but the last six months have shown nice results. I will continue to accumulate, especially at these lower prices.
Bought 10K today. HSPO is a great $$$$$ opportunity.
HSPO has a revolutionary new product that is proving to be a hit with pro, college, and elite athletes and trainers across many disciplines!!!
Enlyten™ SportStrips™ is an edible film strip which allows for electrolytes to be absorbed into the blood stream by placing the thin strip between the cheek and gum.
Enlyten™ SportStrips™ has seen a blockbuster reception since being launched in the beginning of this year!!!
Many NFL teams have purchased and are now using Enlyten™ SportStrips™, they include: the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, Atlanta Falcons, Tennessee Titans, Washington Redskins, and New York Giants.
Colleges and universities are also becoming loyal customers, they include: the University of Notre Dame, Texas A&M, James Madison, University of Utah, Illinois State, Clarion University, Bradley University, Faulkner University, University of Florida, Florida State University, Michigan State University, Purdue University, South Carolina State University, Texas Tech, University of Houston, and the University of Illinois, Alabama State University, Ball State University, Lagrange College, Lambuth University, Mercer University, Middle Tennessee State University, Millsaps College, Oral Roberts University, Pacific University, University of Wyoming, University of West Georgia, and the University of Buffalo.
University of Wyoming Head Athletic Trainer, Robb Williams, commented, "The Enlyten™ SportStrips™ is an outstanding new product and a fantastic electrolyte delivery alternative. My athletes are constantly asking me for the product -- before, during, and after practice. My linemen have told me that they don't have to go out onto the field with a full belly of water. Fluids are absorbed into the body quicker and that is one of the many benefits we have found in using the Enlyten™ SportStrips™."
The NFL and colleges are not the only ones recognizing the benefits of Enlyten™ SportStrips™. Decathlon and marathon athletes are taking advantage of the Enlyten™ SportStrips™ to combat many of the problems associated with dehydration. The NBA, NHL, and many soccer clubs are also following suit.
HSPO's new distribution channels are finally making Enlyten™ SportStrips™ available to the general public. Distribution partners now include Sports Authority, Dick's Sporting Goods, Academy Sports + Outdoors, KineMedics, Incline Sport, Club Warehouse Sports Medical Supplies, Medco Supply Company, and N Sane Distribution.
The list of pro and college teams using Enlyten™ SportStrips™ is dramatically growing, and now that the general public has access to Enlyten™ SportStrips™. Expect sales to go through the roof!!!
I think the reality that this company has to leap over PEP in court to get to the big numbers has come home to roost. I like the company and product but can wait to see how this plays out, my guess is more pain before gain. As Mr. Market says, "if the pump don't make it jump, it's time to dump", and Mr. Market never lies. LOL
More distributors and still the price plummets on low volume. What gives??
Another distributer: in Canada
HealthSport, Inc. (OTC BB:HSPO.OB - News) announces today that its thin-strip electrolyte replenishment sports product, Enlyten(tm) SportStrips(tm) (http://enlytenstrips.com), will be distributed throughout Canada by KineMedics (http://www.KineMedics.com), a company focused on providing progressive and effective healthy solutions for sports teams and individuals.
I think they be able to raise the money to continue. There are about 41M shares out. If they can keep the price near $1 they won't have to dilute too substantially to make it through.
KA
they are running out of money. Look at the story on Yahoo finance. Totally sucks. Bought at 1.75 and not feeling too good right now.
All of Healthsport's products are interesting, but I am particularly delighted with Fixstrip. I am only a wine consumer but whenever I am especially tired I feel the effects of the wine the next morning. The Fixstrip definitely removes that sluggishness and "down" feeling rapidly. I honestly wasn't expecting such a profound result. Because I live in Las Vegas, the obvious thought is the bonanza to HSPO to have their Fixstrip in every hotel, casino, and club here. At the risk of appearing as a paid commercial, this is the real thing!!
News today on Purchase Order for the Fixstrip And we should be seeing some financial new really soon I am sure there will be more news really soon to
So does anyone know what is going on with healthsport? There has been no news on anything lately. The price keeps going down. I have no means of selling my position, but Dan Kelly really needs to give us some big news if he wants this to get back up to the $3.oo mark. I don't know....I think they have some really great things happening, but c'mon Dan give us something.
3 insiders buy additional shares.

Wow. Gatorade is a frickin bully. Especially in the Duke part.
Gatorade is hung out to dry here. They got the MSFT syndrome and really overstepped the lines all over the place.
While this is a WAG, HSPO could nail Gatorade so big that the punitive damages alone could make up a decent chunk of the market cap.
HSPO seems to have a number of NFL teams and at least Duke saying Gatorade overstepped and they side with HSPO. The Duke stuff alone could bury Gatorade's argument.
Thanks for the update on HSPO. This should at least get our name around. Expect a counter-suit?
HSPO sues Gatorade
This is really some big deal and it looks like Gatorade is in for a real uphill fight. This could cost Gatorade many millions of dollors in puniative damages. The details are pretty clear to me. The actions with Duke and the NY Giants really add fire power to this thing. This is Microsoft all over again and they got nailed everywhere.

HSPO's CEO and one of their VP's filed Form 4's today showing they bought shares in the high $1.40's at the end of last week.
Smallish amounts but who knows.

Investment Thesis: (Repost)
- Company in its current state and current management and board of directors is really less than a year old but the core subsidiary with the advance strip technology has been around for years and was the breakthrough company in introducing an OTC product on strips into the marketplace. HSPO completed the acquisition of this strip technology and manufacturing company in May 2007.
- State of the art bi-layer strip delivery technology that can deliver 2 times the active ingredients than other companies in this business
- A number of new products just launching or to be launched next year (see below)
- Double-digit OTC, nutraceutical and veterinary products already developed and awaiting private label or marketing opportunity
- Even more OTC, nutraceutical and veterinary products in various stages of R&D
- Beacon has projected a ramp up to $40 million in revenue for 2009 and management has targeted revenue for 2009 as much as $80 million. Beacon has a $4.00 price target and adds that it could make a nice move if they get a large retail distribution deal or more.
- Fully diluted shares of fewer than 45 million so a market cap at $4.00 per share would be under $200 million.
- A number of experienced and connected persons in management and on the board
- Schering Plough has executed a deal to distribute current and future products in Mexico, Central and South America and in Caribbean countries
- A strip technology company with nominal revenue ($2 million+ over last 6 months) and what is believed to be inferior technology is about to go public with an expected market cap approaching $300 million. This is Monosol (see link to article below)
- HSPO can expand capacity as needed for relative modest amounts of capital
- HSPO is a very attractive candidate to be taken over by companies in the OTC, generic and/or prescription drug segments.
- HSPO’s sports strip and energy strip products could be acquisition target from companies in the sports drink and energy drink markets.
Products:
The company is just beginning to introduce products under the Enlyten brand name that will be their primary brand name for current and future products.
(A) - Enlyten Products:
1 - Enlyten Sports Strips – http://www.enlytenstrips.com/
Basically launched in Q3 2007 as an electrolyte delivery product designed to enter the blood stream in 5 minutes or less versus drinks like Gatorade that can take 30 minutes. Plus the strips have no carbs or sugars and their electrolytes prep to cells to better absorb liquids for hydration. This results in a quicker and more effective delivery of electrolytes with fewer fluids that can cause bloating and that contain sugars and other undesirable ingredients. Within a short period of time, the product is already being used by a number of pro athletic teams and major colleges. This includes 15 NFL teams, the European champion AC Milan soccer club, a number of NBA teams and colleges like Florida, Florida State, Texas A&M, Michigan state, Oregon, Purdue, TCU, Texas Tech, Notre Dame, Pittsburg, Cincinnati and Duke.
Duke has studied the effectiveness of the product pre-launch and is currently doing a 2-year study.
The product is just starting to be introduced into retail outlets starting with regional inclusions at Dicks Sporting Goods where sales have been strong.
2 – Enlyten PediaStrips - http://www.pediastrips.com/
To be launched on November 1, 2007 as a product to compete with the likes of the Pedialyte product line. Significant benefits are ease of dosing and use, including the fact the product has a very acceptable taste profile versus that of Pedialyte products.
HSPO would hope to secure some retail drug store distribution this fall and expand that going into next year.
3 - Enlyten Energy Strips –
To be launched in 1st half of 2008 as a product to target the energy boost market by providing a convenient, handy and fast acting ingestion of vitamins and caffeine. This makes it handy for the office, classroom, airplanes, and other areas where you can’t be carrying around a can of Red Bull.
4 – Enlyten Survival Strip –
To be launched sometime during 2008 as a product for use in the military. This would be a special formulated version similar to the energy drink. This product is currently undergone testing by a military entity prior to anticipated sales in 2008. The benefit to the military is that it allows for widespread distribution of this type of product into the field as each container would way only a couple of ounces and take up a very small amount of space.
Sales into this market could involve very significant numbers that could singularly support a stock price well above the current one.
(B) – Fix Strips - http://www.fixstrips.com/
Launched on October 1, 2007 as a special formulation of vitamins and caffeine to provide very speedy relief for the effects of a hangover. This product is being marketed with a unique brand name and through a very creative campaign. Distribution is planned for clubs, bars, restaurants, college bookstores, online, and at convenience stores. While some may view this as a novelty item it could become a significant contribution to unit sales as distribution and word of mouth communications spread.
(C) – Suppress cough strips - http://www.suppress.com/suppress.php
This is one of InnoZen’s initial products. Look for this product to start to be promoted more in the US in 2008 and this is part of what Schering Plough will be marketing in the under their agreement.
(D) Chloraseptic Relief Strips – This was basically the initial product launched years ago by InnoZen. It is unclear what the current plans for this product really is.
(E) Future products
HSPO has a number of products that have been fully developed and await a partner or the appropriate market opportunity or private label opportunity. A number of other products are under various stages of R&D. HSPO would like to do a significant amount of private label business whereby somebody like a drug company or a drug store chain launch these products under their own private label brand as well as bring HSPO their own formulations to be manufactured on their strip technology.
The HSPO home page states, “This film-strip production process creates a stable environment for highly sensitive pharmaceutical drug actives, veterinary medicants, and many other nutritional supplements.”
Some of the areas HSPO has developed filmstrip products for include allergies, pain, insomnia, intestinal disorders, motion sickness, and animal health.
(F) Schering Plough Agreement
http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/777516/000101968707001885/healthsport_8k-062107.txt
The agreement provides for the exclusive supply by InnoZen of both Suppress-Herbal and Suppress-Dextromethorphan to Schering and covers 35 Central, South American and Caribbean countries. Prior to marketing the product, Schering and InnoZen will work together to obtain a health registration for the products in Mexico. In addition, InnoZen has agreed to develop new edible film strip formulations and finished products for Schering Plough Latin America.
(G) Beacon Research – http://www.beaconequityresearch.com/report/HSPO.pdf
This research was issued in June 2007. They placed a $4.00 price target on the stock when it has trading in the low to mid $2.00 range.
“The market for edible strips is in an early development stage, with an anticipated growth of 40% annually over the medium-term. Easy to swallow, convenient handling (compared to sports nutrition and energy drinks), and rapid absorption in the bloodstream are key delivery system advantages fueling industry growth.”
“Based on current production capacity of approximately 10 million packs annually, HealthSport could potentially produce revenues from product sales approaching $20 million over the next 12 months. The Company is also planning to expand capacity and has entered into discussions with mass market retailers and drug store chains who have expressed interest in carrying its products. A distribution agreement with any of these large retailers could easily add an additional $20 million to annualized revenues. Longer-term, HealthSport believes a goal of $80 million in annual revenues is attainable by 2009.”
“We expect the Company to generate revenues totaling approximately $7 million for full-year 2007, with revenues ramping up to $20 million in 2008 and approaching $40 million in 2009.”
“We anticipate significant share price gains for HealthSport if the Company is successful in negotiating a distribution agreement for its products with a major mass marketer or drug store chain.”
It is my opinion that HSPO is off to a little slower start and may be 6 months or so behind a revenue ramp-up like the above. News on retail outlet inclusions could quickly change this.
(H) – Comparable valuation comparison
HSPO would consider a company named Monosol to be the closest comparative entity. HSPO believes their own bi-layered strip technology is far superior to that of Monosol’s single layer technology and they believe it can deliver approximately two times the active compound formulation per strip.
Monosol is in the IPO process in the US and they currently expect a post IPO valuation approaching $300 million. Monosol had only $2.2 million in revenue for the six months ended June 30, 2007.

HealthSport Announces USA Drug to Carry Fix Hangover Strips
Tuesday October 16, 10:02 am ET
AMHERST, N.Y, Oct. 16, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- HealthSport, Inc. (OTC BB:HSPO.OB - News), a fully integrated developer, manufacturer and marketer of branded nutritional supplements in a one-of-a-kind edible film strip delivery system, announced today its wholly-owned subsidiary, Cooley Nutraceuticals, Inc., has reached an agreement with USA Drug (USAD) to become an authorized distributor of Fix(tm) Hangover Strips (http://www.fixstrips.com).
USA Drug plans on initially rolling out distribution of the Fix(tm) Hangover Strip in stores across Northeastern Oklahoma in early November, 2007.
``USA Drug is a perfect partner as an initial retailer for the Fix(tm) Hangover Strips due to the regional nature of their locations. In addition, the response from potential distributors and retailers has been amazing, and I expect steady sales to occur as we begin delivering product during the end of October,'' stated Clay Cooley, President of Cooley Nutraceuticals, Inc.
Originally formulated as a drink product, Fix(tm) Hangover Strips now offer the millions of Americans who enjoy their alcoholic beverage consumption a significantly faster and more efficient method of combating the inevitable hangover symptoms that follow (i.e. fatigue, headache, nausea and weakness). Edible Fix Strips deliver a blend of active ingredients through the soft tissue of the inner cheek and gum, a process known as Buccal Absorption, and do it naturally without adding sugar and carbs. The formulation, developed by Cooley Nutraceuticals, Inc. contains a proprietary blend of medically acknowledged products such as B-Vitamins, Vitamin C, Caffeine, and electrolytes to aid in combating the mild withdrawals that your body suffers due to overindulgence of a depressant drug (alcohol).
Hopefully before they launch the Pedia Strips in the beginning of November per the press release.
I think it's a bargain here . The PPS for the PP for 4 Millions shares was $1.5 .This stock will take off when they announced the Sports Authority news and the MSRX' IPO .IMO

On March 29, 2006, the Company entered into a Unit Purchase Agreement with the majority of the unit holders of Health Strip, a Nevada limited liability company, to acquire 80% of Health Strip in exchange for 500,000 shares of the Company's $.0001 par value common stock. The seller had the right to rescind this transaction by May 31, 2006, if the Company was unable to cause a minimum of $4,000,000 of its outstanding liabilities to convert into the Company's common stock by May 15, 2006, which was extended until September 30, 2006. Effective September 30, 2006, $5,463,628 of convertible debentures, accounts payable and accrued expenses were converted into the Company's common stock. Health Strip holds certain proprietary technology for the formulation of a thin film electrolyte strip which is the subject of a provisional patent filed in the U.S. Patent and Trademark office on June 14, 2006. In addition, Health Strip has agreed with InnoZen to manufacture and distribute the electrolyte strips through its California based manufacturing facility. Through the use of InnoZen's patented manufacturing process the electrolyte strips have now been produced. Product names and packaging should be finalized by early November 2006, at which time sales should commence.
