Sweet!
Big Deep Purple fan here....
Here's another of my big influences when I was a budding
guitarist.
Ritchie Blackmore - Solo Child in Time
He was trained as a classical guitarist when he was young.
You can hear it in his scales.
Nice. Gotta love that Stevie Ray phrasing too.
Damn, I just cant help it......Vocals while playing behind the back....Got to love it!
I just realized he has an album on iTunes, downloading
it now.

Cool, thanks. The guy reminds me of one of my guitar teachers
from back in the day, the way he plays.
From Denmark I see.

I've never heard of this guy and he is unbelievable!
Give it a listen....

(See the post I'm replying to.)
Chet Atkins - Stars And Stripes Forever
THAT'S THE STUFF! I watched that whole thing. Stevie will
be missed.
Thanks for that post.

Charo on Hollywood Palace, 1968 Flamenco Guitar
Yep, hoochy coochy Charo.
There ya go!
Mr Segovia the Father of Classical guitar. Segovia brought recogonition to the guitar in the classical world with his many transcriptions of Bach such as the Violin Partita No. 2 in D (Chacoone) and Bach Cello suite No. 2 in Dm not to mention the many Spanish composers such as Ponce, Lobos, Sor, Tarrega and Albeniz to name a few.
I saw him twice at the Kennedy Center in DC 1983 and 84 he was 93.
ZZ Top - Crossroads Guitar Festival.
(Billy Gibbons, one of my main influences)
Steve Vai - Guitar Instrumental Solo
This is a must watch. See why he's considered a true master.
Roy Clark - Malagueña
Very nice. I actually watched that whole thing. Any style of playing that takes
talent is a beautiful thing.

Ok, I have a stratocaster with a seymore duncan hot rail
in the bridge spot, and a Joe Satriani Ibanez.
The Ibanez is my favorite.
Rock on!
