Unless you have money to burn, I wouldn't buy any more of these OTC energy stocks. My guess is many will not make it another year - which is essentially stated in the audit report - going concern issues.

Many good buys now - WRES, CVRR, Carizzo, Continental - trading at big discounts and will be around when these prices recover.

EGFDF goes to .33 on a 8000 share trade then back to .031 on a 7950 share trade this can't be true who would sell shares for .031 when the stock is .33 I guess I need to stop trading all together.

Big sign it's probably done - big increase in oil price and the stock drops big - market is saying this company will not likely make it.

The financially strong companies will come out of this extremely strong.

Like EOG, CLR, and CRZO to name a few. If EF and STTX are lucky they will get bought at a fire sale price. This is when you start negotiating with companies that didn't over extend themselves.

Huge bargains out there for those with cash and low debt. Not sure if we have seen the bottom in price yet, so the best timing is uncertain.

Right now my two favorite holdings are DWTI (hedge my oil stocks), JGPK (highly undervalued ecommerce company), and China ETF.

I am hoping the floor oil price is $60/bbl, but we could see $50 or $40. China is expanding with the oil price drop extra income windfall - will lead to more demand and higher prices eventually- when? I have no idea.

Having been through 1985-86, 1998-99, and 2008. This time I am benefitting from the drop. For me it's like the movie ground hog day.

I would be careful holding any oil company right now that has a high level of debt to equity.

Yeah, it's frustrating investment. The oil is there ... It's all about execution. So far I am not impressed.

Last couple of years in oct & nov. EGFDF moved up a little but never high enough for me to break even this year 2014 no movement it just goes down I have done a lot of DD on this one never finding any information all I know some lady answers the phone no one is never in the office an she can't answer any questions.

Why would anyone do that? Basically your giving it away... Assuming its worthless.

It's kind of frustrating waiting for results... I can drill these 1,500 ft horizontals in my sleep, and many times I do. Just line them up with ~200 to 250 ft spacing. I have a black oil (and compositional) simulation model to predict pressures, initial production rates, well interference, decline rate, optimum development scenarios, steam/water injection placement, optimum down hole temperatures, etc...

Let the drilling begin!!

The bid is 0.08 and ask is 0.4 - a really large range. My advise is think of this stock as a slot machine. It may hit or you may lose all your money. With no information disclosures, we are all in the dark. That being said, I am encouraged by the buda formation and the reservoir potential. I just drilled several wells in a similar formation and received great results - long horizontals with huff/puff steam cycles work great. I would feel a lot better if I was involved in the planning and drilling program but...

What concerns me most about EGFDF is if the results are good will that value transfer to the stock price or just be pocketed by management. Honestly, the lack of information makes me uncomfortable. I do own some of this stock and plan to hold it for the long-term - I consider it Vegas money.

I don't believe it benefits EFRDF directly. However, a stronger STTX means more money to invest - more wells can be drilled. This absolutely benefits them.

Just catching up on reading this weekend. I read somethings that I sometimes forget by Warren Buffet and Collins.

Buffet: The financial markets are designed to transfer money from the active to the patient.

In the book Great by Choice, Collins concludes that companies that changed constantly did worse.

Bottom line: do your homework buying undervalued companies with high growth that have solid management and leave them alone. In the short-term our ability to predict the markets is same as trying to predict what others are having for breakfast tomorrow (Robert Shiller, Nobel prize winner) - not very good.

It is why the majority of fund managers can't beat the S&P500.

Yeah, these penny stocks are tough. I think at this point EFRDF is along for the ride - no capital investments. And because it's so discounted, I think the risk adjusted upside is pretty good.

I keep buying a few shares every now an then, I dont know why, I guess I still have confidence in this Co. but darn it's hard to find out any Information. Tried to find a drilling list, no one seemed to know what I was talking about,Called an asked about JV several times the only answer I get is read news on internet. Then I ask what news you dont put any out,Asked questions about the last meeting I was told to look it up on Yahoo finance.Don't know where else to call or look, now I am tied up for three months on a shutdown at workplace. I am convinced advances in geochemistry will change the oil industry as much or more than frac'ing technology. Every oil eagle ford, buda, cotton valley, etc. and rock has a distinct signature (via gas chromatography and mass spec). From this chemical analysis we can get all kind of new information - in a multi-layered reservoir we will be able to determine where the oil came from and avoid much of the water. Therefore, instead of a typical 40-45% Waterflood oil recovery it can be increased 10 plus percent. This is a big reserves increase.

I am working on a project right now (with a Phd from MIT) that could be a game changer. So far it's very promising. I really had my doubts. Exciting times!

I attended a geochemistry class and the instructors (leading experts in the US) presented their eagle ford and buda analysis along with others. It was based on oil and rock analysis. Needless to say, I was surprised and asked many questions.

I am amazed with the recent advances in oil/rock chemistry - the source rock and migration can be derived. The hot spots can be determined by thermal maturity, total organic material, C isotope, etc. All this correlates well with oil production.
