You also wiped out the bitzio shareholders
Reality Check – Your collective interests are the sole reason that the Company continues to function. We intend to continue to use our best efforts to advance our shareholder interests for so long as we are able to continue making the attempt. To be clear, we only have two viable options to do so at this point: (1) by responsibly guiding CleanTech Alpha and the corn oil saga to completion, and, hopefully, (2) by completing the alternate transaction described above.
The goal and effort is admirable; yet it appears that in the future you will have to seek bankruptcy. Continuing the battle just for the sake of continuing the battle when, in your own words, there is an alternative that has some value to you and Greenshift, at some point becomes quixotic. Any guidance on the timetable of this decision?
Kevin,
Thank you for the update. You have reaffirmed my faith in you.
Having been around from the early days I am aware that Greenshift was the victim of an unscrupulous thief (DVG) and of horrible legal advise. Being taken advantage of by thieves and incompetents is easy to criticize in hindsight, I won't do that.
I appreciate your continued efforts on the shareholders behalf. Trust me - I wish you all the luck in the world.
Thank you again.
Houstonian
Greenshift has destroyed far more shareholders in fraudulent stock swaps and reverse splits than exist now. Might as well finish the job. Let this whole sad shitshow sink into the lava of pathetic failure.
It would be. And the remaining patents could have more value in the process. But it would wipe out the shareholders.
As you know I/We have been with you and the company forever (well not exactly; since April 2006). We have met, and we have sought out DW and others for face-to-face interactions. I inquire with no malice intended. Your communication raises the question, one that may be naive and demonstrate my ignorance of such matters -- why not declare bankruptcy? Would this not be in your best interest?
The following is in response to questions received from several of our shareholders:
Current Assessment – It is not reasonable to expect any further net value or recovery of any kind from the corn oil patents. The Company has no revenue and the Company’s resources are limited to proceeds provided under related party debt arrangements on a match funding basis. Additional debt will cease to become available at some point. The Company also remains in continuing default of its secured debt agreements. Litigation financing may be available in conjunction with a contingency arrangement to pursue recovery for legal malpractice. While we can easily prove extensive damages in that matter, our former attorneys have availed themselves of every possible tactic at their disposal to delay arbitration and judgment, and they can be expected to continue to do so. There is a non-zero chance of a net recovery in the malpractice matter, and there is a chance that it may be sufficient to cover all of CleanTech Alpha's debts such that a distributable cash surplus may remain. If that occurs (emphasis on "if"), then we intend to proportionately distribute any net distributable cash surplus to all of our shareholders. We have no plan to operate CleanTech Alpha if or when that occurs. No assurances can be given that any recovery will occur.
Previously Announced Plans – We previously evaluated a number of alternatives to enable the Company’s shareholders to have increased access to liquidity. We attempted to complete a transaction involving shares of another liquid stock, however, after an extensive evaluation, we concluded that the associated tax and securities ramifications rendered that option cost-prohibitive and infeasible. The Company accordingly shifted its focus to a potential alternative transaction which would provide each of our shareholders with new shares in a newly-public entity in addition to their current holdings in the Company. If that transaction is successful, and no assurances can be given in that regard, then the newly-public entity would be free of the constraints described in the first paragraph above, and it would therefore have the ability to conduct new financing, reverse mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
Technologies – The Company invested in research and development of corn oil extraction-centric and corn oil extraction-adjacent technologies over many years prior to 2017. Most of that work involved further processing of de-oiled distillers' grains. Some of it involved other forms of biomass. Regardless, all direct research and development efforts ceased due to the Company's inability to raise additional capital as a result of the corn oil infringement matter. In May 2018, the Company attempted to resolve that constraint by issuing a license for all of its technologies to a jointly-owned subsidiary of Attis Industries (20% Company, 80% Attis). Attis thereafter tried (and failed) to acquire additional rights to patents that were issued to and owned by an independent third party. The Company's former Chief Technology Officer, who ceased to be an employee and officer of the Company in 2017, subsequently negotiated to license and acquire the independent third party's patents in 2021. At no point did the Company own any rights to those patents.
We hope to have an additional update before the end of the year.
We just went over the one year mark since this correspondence.
Why am I skeptical that there is a future here? Hmmm...
According to E*trade tracking charts, GERS is close to being EVEN since October, 2021. YTD it's down 20%. Ford is down 40% As are several other industrial and commodity-related stocks. So, all the hyperbole about KK and the Stock is just that.
The only greater hyperbole comes out of DC daily.
No. Seriously now. What if GERS is really nothing more than a front for those alien sasquatch commonly known as, big foot?
The ramifications of GERS using patents, ethanol, weed, and fashion clothing as a front are GENIUS!
When the 'news' leaks out imagine the stock price soaring. Remember, of the 20 million or so shares of GERS floating around, 19.9 are owned by relatives of KK's janitor.
GERS is a dead stock. Dead. Dead. Dead. And yet... i still own a piece of the dream.
And,,, what if a fat dog had a square as*, would he shi* bricks?
This stock has been "What if'd" to death. At some point you have to come back to reality. Reality is KK has dropped us like a hot potato and headed back to his trust fund life.
Sorry but sometimes reality sucks.
An update after Labor Day? Way overdue…
agreed.
preferably opportunity with KK wins over KK capitulating.
ice_n_ak,
My sentiments exactly. Why do most people look at the sales without any regard for who's buying and why.
Usually people selling are selling out of frustration. Thus the term capitulation. On the other hands, those adding to their "risk" , the buyers, are usually much better informed
and might just have a plan. Thus the term "opportunism".
Let's see which behavior prevails and benefits most.
this is why the view of floating fish going by is so fun...
my thoughts. oh, so many thoughts.
What if: What if Shares of GERS are being bought (they have to be bought because they are selling, and falling in price) What if said shares are being bought out over a period of time just in time for some NEWS!
Oh look! A speckled trout just swam by.
There have been a lot of terms used over the years to describe Kevin but I believe I will be the first to use this one - coward.
Kevin's apparent abandonment of the people who supported him, believed in him, and trusted him for all of those years is despicable. I am afraid Kevin has proved himself to be the low-life that so many people accused him of being.
This ship has sunk and it's captain, Kevin, escaped with the women and children in the first lifeboat available.
Not a useful or credible response.
Today a last minute sell down at 3:57 pm indicates that someone is interested in manipulating the price of this stock. What else should I conclude. That's encouraging
to learn that there is that much interest in the stock. Let's see how things play out and I do mean "play". Cheers.
I believe both SkunK and Slash were honest believers in Kevin and Greenshift's future. They are victims just like us. Highly unlikely that we will ever hear from them again.
Thanks for that. The issue of hydrogen "fuel" availability and distribution is huge, but not much worse than the EV challenges. The idea of "in situ" fuel replenishment is
the answer. Musk, too, is striving to create solar- panel- driven battery rechargeabilty, but the sun just won't cooperate often and long enough in many locations.
I've been a fan of Plug Power( PLUG) for several years now. Used to count employee cars in their New York State parking lot( to see how business was doing) on my trips from Ohio to Vermont.
I'm still an ethanol guy for the foreseeable future, which future has been sadly extended by Comrade Putin.
Human ingenuity will show us the way out of this energy "deadend" just like it did when
the wood , and whale oil coal and fuel oil and nuclear became unpopular/unsustainable.
Nuclear is still the hands down favorite in terms of efficiency and reliability IMHO.
Mini and micro nuclear fission and fusion will likely win outings the long run, but not in my lifetime.
Who is the Company you described ?
Cheers
Ballot, I am involved in a Co' with a revolutionary way to produce Hydrogen gas in quantity and w/o the conventional way of producing it! I know it is closer than you think, with Fuel Cell vehicles starting to make their appearance!
This Hydrogen producing system is inexpensive to install and relies only on Water and a Solar panel specifically designed to produce enough Hydrogen gas to last about six to seven weeks before they add water again!
This Co' has 52+ million in the bank & is now talking about acquiring Co's that fit in the mold! But since this is a Penny Stock Company, you can't watch it from day to day, as the Impatient will always sell out or play the Naked seller game? But at least it has a chance to blossom in the future! No more truck deliveries to Gas stations, all Hydrogen gas produced on site!!
Will we hear from Slashnuts or the Skunk Again?
Slash.
Do you think we (GERS shareholders) will ever hear from Kevin again?
Thank you.
Houstonian
I'm , personally, including hydrogen in the overall solution, but like battery-based EV's
hydrogen has a very long way to go to broad-based use and commercialization.
The gasoline/ethanol response is obviously not forever, but it is needed for quite some time.
Industrial power went from wood to hydro( some wind)to coal to oil to gas to nuclear to wind/solar
and now what ? It won't be dirty, rare earth containing, short-lived batteries as we know them now. Maybe organic batteries ...maybe. Still a battery based EV system requires a very large grid...VERY.
Cheers.
gers, That is not exactly correct! There will be a need for ethanol in the near future, as Electric/Fuel cell Electric cars will take a while to become established!
But Ethanol production is still a concern to me over the long run, as all the Gov't credits for electric Vehicles will make it easier for consumers, Fuel Cell cars are developing quickly, safety is far better than Gas engines, and the Green economy includes Hydrogen and rejects Gasoline & Ethanol!!
I just posted elsewhere about my wish that Gers would accelerate their Ethanol production to maintain some sort of positive for Gers? They were great Innovators and Inventors, and I wanted that to continue, even though I Invested more in Green Co's than anything else! I still, well my daughter holds my shares these days, but I see that Gers is going nowhere? How is that new Lady CEO doing! Is she energetic enough to push this Co' forward at a superior pace? GLTA.
Because the patents were thrown out. Unenforceable.
There are numerous, talented, environmentally sensitive ethanol producers in this country and overseas to invest in. Our almost-totally-failed GERS has/had them as customers/licensees.
Electric Grid Cannot Support Electrical Vehicles ???
Of the recent Posters, who remembers Blackouts and Brownouts during the "decade" 1965-1975 ?? Not enough electricity for your home ??
Who purchased Air Conditioning for "creature comfort"?? Every business and home that installed air conditioning put a big draw on the Electric Grid. The USA eventually installed enough generating capacity to accommodate the rapid increase. Look at the Population Growth of Atlanta, GA.
Now we are supposed to handle the addition of Electrical Vehicles without additional electrical capacity NIMBY. How about Joe & Kamala giving a free wind turbine and solar panel so we can charge our cars for free ??
The first thing to sour me about GERS is when I walked into their office in Georgia and asked my first question: "Do you drive an E85 vehicle ?" answer: "No". The owner of Ethanol Production Patents don't even use the product.
Anyway, I'm slowly weaning myself from GERS. I do miss the group.
Agreed Ballot.
Electric vehicles comprise approximately 1% of the vehicles on the road today and already people are being asked to hold off on recharging them during peak electricity consumption hours. So if the grid cannot support 1% of vehicles being electric I don't see that number growing significantly any time soon.
Ethanol has a much bigger role in the environment for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately as holders of this worthless stock we will not see any financial gain from that bigger role. Thanks Kevin.
Agreed pretty much for about another 10-15 years. A new design of smaller, localized nuclear power plants, capable of running on lower grade of nuclear fuel has been under development. Solar power generation, fully self contained on a household level, powering EVs is only now coming into practicality. But the internal combustion engine will not go away soon, nor should it have to, really.
I think you and many others are overstating the case for the rate of disappearance
of ICE( Internal Combustion Engine) cars going forward. The world has one billion ICE cars and 16 million EV cars. The electric grid is barely holding its own today against growing demand for electricity( bit coin mining and EV car charging being big users).
Ethanol is a very clean burning fuel for ICE vehicles.
Without nuclear fuel powered electric generation, the grid will suffer outages and brownouts like never before.
So a vote for EV's is inescapably a vote for many, many more nuclear plants in the world. And I, personally, am more than okay with that. The question is how much support is there for nuclear power and just how long would it take to make the transition ? Solar and wind power are remarkably unreliable and inefficient. Maybe, innovations such as wave surge generators and geothermal can help a lot.
Bottom line, gasoline is here to stay for a long time. To improve emissions, ethanol is a vital additive/substitution. Thus the hyperbole around EV's is just that and only that. EV's in meaningful numbers in the foreseeable/achievable future exist only in the meta world of certain politicians and people who elect them.
Mr. N. If the Stock isn't going anywhere, and GERS resorted to Cannabis to recoup, then something is radically wrong! So, it is up to us, tough as it is, to say Bye Bye to Gers! IMO, KK wasn't advised properly in his Law suits and later actions, so the damages seem to be irreparable!
It is no longer the Company we placed our faith in 9-10 years ago, so no matter what changes they decide upon, I don't think it could ever do as well as they did with their Energy producing technology/Machines? Now that Ethanol is being brought up again as a savior to the dwindling Gas guzzling autos of the past, do we have a chance to get on to the winning road once more? I haven't followed GERS lately, but by the PPS numbers, it seems to have seen its day!
While the electric Car Industry is moving along at a fast pace, ETHANOL can only be a delaying tactic until the final knockout punch is delivered!
When I first began investing in GERS I looked for good points
Of the CEO personality. The following was of his loyalty:
Kevin Kreisler, an investor who said he is still funding Grimes’ research, and paying him a $100,000 annual salary, told Kane he is “unfazed” by Grimes’ guilty pleas.
“I will continue to invest in Craig for as long as I’m able and as long as his mind continues to function,” Kreisler said. “I believe in him. I believe in what he can do.”

Oldrogue.
It's been interesting to watch GERS hang in there this year until lately. I was buying some at 6 cents, but others were buying more than I was. Those of you who believe we've been cheated/scammed are entitled to your postings I guess. I hope you are certain of your allegations . They seem to be having a materially adverse affect on price. But there will be not a single sale unless someone wants to buy. What must they know? We'll soon see.
Great Point: Wood Waste does not make Ethanol
Wood Waste is used to make Methanol (Wood Alcohol). Sugar is the feedstock for Ethanol (Corn Squeezin' Alcohol). It is my understanding that Methanol is Not Approved as a Biofuel.
Another GERS White Elephant was to turn wood waste into carbon fiber. I don't believe that GERS alchemy is able to turn wood waste into a Biofuel; even with a catchy name like Bioleum.
LOL what is LODE going to with all that baboon "Intellectual Property" - yeah save all your sawdust and send it c/o KK, somewhere in Nevada.
PLAIN SIGHT INNOVATIONS ABSCONDING WITH GERS INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY .... is what made me turn on KK.
The sneaky way that KK and Winsness absconded with the Intellectual Property and left CleanTech Alpha [Greenshift] with nothing is unconscionable. It appears the GERS Technology hooked up with a Mining Company to capitalize on absconded technology:
Shares of renewable fuels and energy company Comstock Inc. said it filed for a new patent to produce renewable fuels from wood biomass, and shares were up after hours.
The company said the new patent covers "breakthrough pathways to produce renewable diesel, marine, sustainable aviation fuel and gasoline from woody biomass, at dramatically improved yield, efficiency, and cost in comparison to all known methods."
Comstock also said the technology "unlocks vast quantities of historically unused and under-utilized feedstocks."
There is so much that we do not know, and relativity recent actions (e.g. bringing filings up-to-date) that imply something -- that which we cannot fathom. As I said with a literary allusion -- only the phantom knows.
Perhaps in due time we will know, but if we never know or hear - then we made faulty judgments.
nobody, I agree wholeheartedly.
Despite all of his mistakes and our losses I always defended Kevin's honor. And it was attacked viciously many times. However, at this point it appears that I was wrong and they were right. You, me, and many other people were very devoted to this company, both monetarily and emotionally. Jon G even lost his life because of this company. For Kevin to walk away from all of us and all of that history without a word would be unconscionable.
But in the end we all have to wake up every morning and face the man in the mirror. I believe mornings will be tough for Kevin from here on out.
Good luck to all.
It's tough to let a stock go, and never see it again! Few can do that though! On to the next challenge, right EduSox? Anyway, I wish you the best!
Over the years I have learned to be careful accepting Slash's demonstrative statements at face value. Usually, he had good information, sometimes though it was like a dark hole -- sucked you in to never return. We have had our share of interesting personalities, Slash, Skunk, and of course KK himself. At least one very sad episode -- the fellow very early in this gambit who bet everything on the success of this venture, mortgaged everything he had to buy shares and lost it all including, home, wife, and eventually his life.
It was satisfying to see your statement in support of KK's quest to produce a renewable fuel to replace petroleum based products while making money for himself and shareholders. You articulated our hopes as well. It is also sad to see so many flock to PVSP hoping that GERS' shares will be rolled into PVSP' shares. Clearly supporting the development, manufacturing, and distribution of mind-altering drugs that will likely overall cause harm to our culture is not the issue -- only the return on investment is. They did not share our hopes and aspirations for KK's venture.
As for myself and my wife we are disappointed not in the outcome -- we knew it was a gamble, or in the process with its many nefarious characters and possible/probable pitfalls. We are disappointed in our judgement. We met face-to-face with several principals including KK and DW. Our judgement was that they were earnest and honorable. I made my living out of making that judgement about people over many years. You speak of legal, and ethical issues, I speak of honor.
So, in this regard I ask again Mr. Kreisler to do the honorable thing. I know that he or one of his minions read this board. Mr. Kreisler it is OK to fail, we all do -- but not to walk away without admitting it. If in fact, as we all believe, that this gambit is over a simple public statement something like, you tried, but failed and you wish us well is required if you too value one of the most important human qualities -- personal honor.
Probably because Attorney Costs have not been settled
Attorneys are probably filing all kinds of documents to squeeze as much money out of this bloodstone. Check out Post 52616 from Slash
Why are people BUYing this stock ?? Maybe KK is accumulating shares so the remaining few shareholders do not file a Class Action Suit. I'm glad that someone was BUYing the past few weeks.
I "transferred" some of my profits to LODE. I followed the Intellectual Property:
--- Green Shift --- CleanTech Alpha --- Plain Sight Innovations ---- Comstock Mining (LODE). See Post 52603, I do not recall the source for the Quote. Probably on a different Board. I questioned if the transfer from GERS to LODE, at no value to GERS, was legal. I guess so; but, appears unethical.
Above is my speculation only. I no longer trust KK's quest is to produce a renewable fuel to replace petroleum based products while making money for himself and shareholders.
Why doesn't KK just pull the pin on this thing? What good does it do him to have the decertified stock still traded? Why did he post updated financials a year ago? Why is any one still buying this stock? Why, we the shareholders he has pledged to do right by, heard nothing? The longest stint of silence ever! As I stated before -- "Only the shadow knows!"
I trust the Technology but not the Owners
KK and Winsness learned how to protect "their" [GERS] Intellectual Property. They formed a shell company to protect the knowledge obtained while working at GERS; before Greenshift changed their name to CleanTech Alpha. They took the Intellectual Property and moved to Comstock Mining (LODE). Here is where the Intellectual Property ended up:
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/comstock-pioneers-renewable-fuels-technology-201500871.html
See Post 23988 in Comstock Board
KK and Winsness also took all of "their" Intellectual Property for growing Recreational Marijuana when they moved on to Pervasip Corp. (PVSP).
GERS received NO COMPENSATION for its Intellectual Property.
Fortunately, I took some of my GERS profits and purchased some LODE and some PVSP. The purchases were made for entertainment value as well as potential Capital Gains.
Gers. I had such great hopes 7-8 years, ago, as they opened-up the Patent door enough to keep me interested!
But one thing is clear to me, it was the Infringement disaster that led to this inescapable conclusion, that any Company had better be sure of their allegations before they start suing? If they lose, this market will not forgive those low capitalized Co's who are hanging by a thread or two!
Then, ALL 21 Co's can't be wrong! I kind of felt it was a bit much, but what did I know? It seems to be more than just infringement that counts? Technicalities and a fairly inexperienced bunch of young Turk lawyers who thought that they knew it all, but were caught Red-handed when the other side of the story unfolded! Either they thought the objections were meaningless, or that mistakes would be dismissed like a kid coming in late for school! When it comes to big bucks, no error is insignificant? Liberal Lawyers taking things for granted, and strict conservative Judges on the bench who saw flaws that couldn't be forgiven? That was the shot that sunk the ship IMO.
Now, GERS is like a new Business setting up shop, and everyone knows what that means in the Penny Stock field! IMO..
Its just a hash oil machine. Back when I was a kid we called it an Iso-2
It seems that the ability to jump ship from development of renewable energy to the production and distribution of mind-altering drugs implies that some were never invested in the betterment of the world in which we live; only the lining of their pockets. Reading back over the years the many posts that waxed profusely over "their green mission" as the reason for taking the gambit is now bad theater.
AMF, I'm on to Greener Pastures
I am a long time proponent of Renewable Energy. Unfortunately this GREEN SHIfT has not worked out. I did CLEAN ThisECH from my portfolio. I no longer own one BIT[zio] AT ThISpoint.
Throughout the years, I was fortunate to make a few dollars; enough to cover my cost plus losses from ATTIS. I am able to "LODE" up on and PerSeVire [P] (aka PVSP) a little. Enough to keep track of KK and his shenanigan's
There is nothing here, ballot. Really and truly. For KK, I just see a pine box, in the end. And worms.
