Gain is awesome!! Increased divy and another special dividend for December!!
Both are priced really well right now.
GAIN
yes 12 right now at .064 June was .06, so pays .768 for reg, already paid out .06 in June to put at .828 dec will be? but should be .06 for roughly .89 for the year if you get both semi annual divs.
GLAD
12 right now at ..07 for GLAD- .84 annual
When I buy, I simply buy whichever one is cheaper.
GLAD if they follow suit, GAIN raised their DIV earlier this year and June was the 1st semi annual div. WHo knows GLAD might, but the difference is minimal both hold value well, good trade range, and reliable monthly divs more than covered.
SO yeah buy on both.
I might go check it out, but most of my cash is tied up in a spec play that should get silly returns within the next 12-18 months. like 03 to possible up to a dollar on legit business. Other than that I have my monthly pay divs, and quarterly payers that I rotate out monthly.
From one quarterly to the next I have like 3 quarterly pays per quarter. So basically 12 quarterly i switch around depending on who is paying which month.
Ok so gain pays out a total of 14 dividends a year. Just wanted to make sure I picked the right one lol. Btw I know this off topic but did you see the shareholder tour pics of SIGO . They started to pay dividends and guess what company pays workers in dividends, no debt, great expansion plans .. and only 4.5 mill outstanding .. check it out, you might like it enough to pick up a few https://www.sunsetislandgroup.com/pictures-from-shareholder-event
They both pay monthly. GAIN and GLAD both.
GAIN though offers a semi annual special dividend.
June and should be december as well.
So those 2 months you get paid 2 dividends.
June special was .06, haven't announced Dec yet.
I thought gain was the monthly dividend, are you saying it's only quarterly? Is glad the one that's monthly?
Its a good buy...
The semi annual special dividends,
gives you better payout than GLAD its sister company which
also pays the monthly divy,.
So far its held its value really well,
pays that monthly divy,
Anything you can buy under 9.30 is a deal.
Picked up some GAIN this morning at 9.25. Looks like it's bottomed
GAIN SIGO
Just buy whenever you like the price.
It really all just depends on what the stock does while you wait.
I'm focusing more on accumulating dividend paying stocks from now on.. tired of the pennies... this one has a monthly dividend payed so that's attractive. I read that I should wait till dividend pay date that the stock usually gives a discount.. what do u think?
I own a bunch of this and GLAD. Sold almost all my PSEC and moved it here till they figure out their dividend situation.
Any idea why the $0.19 drop today?
That was really odd.

The Trump Effect is in Full Force... Santa Claus you out there?
Absolutely... There may be a sell of after the rate hike is officially announced but as we both know it won't be a surprise to anyone when interest rates go up .25%.
I guess only opportunity left is the rate hike next week correct ?
Damn trump lol
Haha I realize that my friend. I don't think you're gonna have much of a sell off this year... That's what I'm saying.
tax loss would be done in December not January
Maybe early next year... A pullback is always looming, question is when and how big? haha
When will the damn year end sell off happening??!! Waiting!!
Yes, the bounce continues! $8.00 break coming?
GAIN Down ~15% to $7.18
Unbelievable!
I can't help myself I'm so inpatient I don't think I can wait until next week to add! Lol I may add here
Headed back toward session lows...
Crazy pullback... Gonna be a lot of bouncing around today it looks like!
Damn wtf I guess it need to correct it self to be in line with the others that have fallen
GAIN Down ~10.5% to $7.42
Whelp, looks like a huge pullback today!
Yeah that's why I was asking not sure to add now , or after election next week or wait until December hike..
In the case of GAIN, the best time to add was February... But I believe January was the biggest drop in the market in 2016. There were bargains galore! Currently GAIN is entering oversold territory... and the trend is currently down.
I'm thinking they'll probably raise rates another .25% in December. I can't see it having much of an effect on our market but a slight pullback should be expected. I think the election is probably more likely to have a greater negative impact on markets vs the .25% hike that is anticipated in December... But as I always understand, there's one thing I always realize about markets is the unpredictability. I always know that I don't really know! Haha
Do you remember when the best time to add was it in December or January when was the big drop from the fed hike?
Would be a decent bounce...
Predict to close at 8.99 or 9.05
Volume is through the roof. May see 1 million today...
Quite the pullback, I'm a spectator.
May buy some here
