I guess some people would rather the company was silent until the auditors are ready to release the financials.
It will be getting swarmed soon, I think! and it'll be about to play like the real thing.
Right now, we don't really have very convincing proof that scale and sale is upon us. If we did, the stock would be worth more than it is today. Patience should pay for GSPH.
Hello! thank you for the kind reply. I will surely keep that in mind. I think the buying pressure is pretty nice, might be a good day trade.
To find a good entry on the stock I just look at where it bounced in the past relative to the moving averages and wait for the next time it gets down there. Try not to chase the price just wait until the next pullback. It's sort of like waiting for the next bus at the stop, if the current one just took off then just wait for the next one on the route.
The corollary to that idea is to also look at the chart price relative to the indicators right now, what did it do in the past. In this case the bus sort of just left the stop as it is near the top of the bollinger band and the rsi is at the upper boundary area. It is the same thing as the start of July. The trend is still there, but see how the stock price 'walks the band' as it trends up.
Best to wait until the next inevitable dip to the moving average if buying the stock...Doing it that way also keeps from chasing the price up and makes one patient and ready to evaluate that next dip to make sure it is still a buy-able uptrend. Is the chart truly making higher highs and higher lows still, if so great, buy the dip with a close stop nearby under the moving averages or a drawn upwards trendline. If not, then perhaps be more patient and wait for the next bus on the route so to speak...
Try not to use just one indicator like the stochastics crossing up as some sort of simple answer out of context ignoring the rest of the chart, thinking one indicator overrides everything else. Instead take all the information into account and then decide...not rocket science just common sense it works for me...
hi stocktrademan,
Do you have any idea what is a good entry price for investors new to GSPH?
Thanks.
A/S increased to 750M per NVSOS Filing
Interesting sleeper here. 140M OS, current , 10q should be good, past quarterlies showed increasing revenue and with recent passing of the PIPES ACT signed by Obama, GSPH could be very profitable
GSPH is current in all SEC filing obligations:

GSPH is severely delinquent in filing their Financials and corporate filing obligations to the SEC. On Feb. 20, 2015 the SEC suspended 8 stocks from the Delinquent SEC Filers list, and it is likely that more delinquent Filers will be suspended.
Since Jan 1st, 2010 the SEC has suspended over 1290 stocks for Financials delinquencies. All of those Suspended stocks had their stock registrations revoked.
Shareholders should contact the company and pressure the Mgmt to file their delinquent Financials because ALL shareholders would be wiped out IF the SEC suspends the stock.
GSPH is on the list of delinquent filers:

I'm sure smith has been selling as this stock went higher. Hey pro-life! Hope 2014 will be the year for UGSI! We miss you on that board...don't give up on smith's former company which is now being run like a real company (albeit without providing us any financials)!
Continuing it's rise lately, liked possibilities a few years ago when first posted, but then they stopped reporting, and as of now remain a Stop company, with not many investors watching it or pushing it. Which makes the recent upward move all the more interesting, no PR or pump from what I can see. Keeping this play on watch longer term, no shares.
THE "CLOUD, THE "CLOUD", THE "CLOUD"
GEOSPATIAL CORPORATION (GSPH) PUTS THE UNDERGROUND INTO THE "CLOUD"!
Large numbers of companies are putting data up into the Cloud. Recently, Cloud related securities have performed extremely well in the markets, some more than doubling in price in less than a month
Now being done for the FIRST TIME, Geospatial Corporation (www.GeospatialCorporation.com) is accurately locating and mapping underground and above ground structures, such as pipelines, conduits, and transmission lines, and putting this vital information, seamlessly, into the CLOUD. Think of all of the possible applications: Oil and Gas, Antiquated Water and Sewer systems, Telecom and Fiberoptics, Homeland Security.
Geospatial has demonstrated a method to first, accurately create (3D) three dimensional digital maps and models of all underground and above ground infrastructures, and then secondly manage this critical infrastructure data on its "CLOUD-BASED" TOOL & GIS PORTAL called GeoUnderground360. This data base will eventually become very valuable. (www.Geounderground.com) Licensed users, for the FIRST TIME, have available to them a suite of technologies allowing them to collect data and then share these invaluable 3D maps and models in a secure manner with their peers and associates anywhere in the world through a conventional browser via the "CLOUD"
The company has been non-reporting for the last two+ years, but has apparently taken steps to become viable as a public company and will probably become fully reporting sooner than later. The stock traded in a range of $0.06 to $0.36 for 28 months, but over the past month, the stock has moved up to $0.50, (historical high $5.50) without any promotion that I can determine through my independent research.

The website has been recently revamped. The company is now advertising for qualified software engineers, and they just made two announcements for the first time in years. On October 21, 2013 it was announced that GSPH will be exhibiting at Autodesk University - the leading Autodesk Software Conference and Exhibition in the world, to be held in Las Vegas from December 3 - 5, 2013. This will create interest from both domestic and international corporations in attendance.

Geospatial Enters into Settlement Agreement with Investor Group and Announces Leadership Succession Plan
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Geospatial-Enters-into-prnews-3048529628.html?x=0&.v=1
Press Release Source: Geospatial Holdings, Inc. On Wednesday April 13, 2011, 5:35 pm EDT
PITTSBURGH, April 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Geospatial Holdings, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board:GSPH.ob - News) (Geospatial) has entered into a settlement agreement with 29 investors that purchased shares of the Company's capital stock in private placements in October and December 2009 and March 2010. The investors had threatened to file a lawsuit against Geospatial and its officers relating to their purchases of $5.5 million of capital stock issued in connection with the offerings.
The Company's Board of Directors unanimously approved the settlement agreement. While disputing all claims of misconduct by the Company's officers, the Board concluded that Geospatial would be unable to raise essential equity capital if the Company did not enter into the settlement agreement. Further, the Board concluded that without new equity capital the Company would be unable to continue its business as a going concern resulting in a complete loss of investment value for all of the Company's shareholders.
The investors have agreed not to pursue their claims for a period of 120 days during which the Company plans to raise additional equity capital. Provided the Company raises at least $5 million in new equity capital before the expiration of 120 days, the investors have agreed to forever waive their right to pursue their claims against the Company and it officers, except in the event the Company files for bankruptcy. Following the closing of an equity offering of at least $5 million, the Company has agreed that the investors will be granted additional shares of Geospatial stock. Each such investor will be granted additional shares so that the aggregate number of shares issued to such investor related to the offerings and the settlement will equal the investor's aggregate investment in the offerings divided by the per share price at which the Company effects its anticipated offering. Thus, the investors will be treated as if they had purchased all of their shares at the same offering price to be established in the upcoming offering.
Other unaffiliated investors purchased $6.4 million of Geospatial capital stock in the October 2009 through March 2010 private placements. While these investors have not raised allegations of misconduct against the Company or its officers, the Company's Board of Directors has concluded that such investors should be treated equitably with the investors that are party to the settlement agreement. Accordingly, the Company plans to offer all such investors settlements consistent with the terms outlined above.
Mr. Smith has agreed to resign his position as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and step-down from the Company's Board of Directors upon closing of the anticipated capital raise. At that time, the Board intends to appoint David Dresner to succeed Mr. Smith as CEO. Further, Timothy Sutherland would become non-executive Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors, while Thomas Ridge will continue to serve as a member of the Board. Mr. Dresner is the former CEO of Statoil Energy (a division of StatoilHydro) and a 20 year veteran of Pricewaterhouse Coopers where he served as Office Managing Partner. Mr. Sutherland is the Chairman and CEO of Pace Global Energy Services, LLC, a leading energy consulting and management company.
"Speaking for myself and the Board, we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. Reduct, Geospatial and key stakeholders have invested a great deal of time and effort to realign the Company's operations and formulate a business model that provides a path for economic success. Under its new leadership, Geospatial will be well positioned to capitalize on the rapidly growing market opportunity for mapping underground infrastructure," said Timothy Sutherland.

Jim Rogers on the Dangers of Price Inflation, the Promise of Commodities and America's Continued Decline
Sunday, April 03, 2011 – with Anthony Wile
http://www.thedailybell.com/1970/Anthony-Wile-with-Jim-Rogers-on-the-Dangers-of-Price-Inflation-the-Promise-of-Commodities-and-America?8364;?s-Continued-Decline.html
Comments on water:
Daily Bell: Any comment on water shortages? Is potable water the next big investment?
Jim Rogers: I don't know if we discussed water last time but I have discussed it many times. There are huge shortages of water developing. We have wars developing east of the Red Sea over oil, and we are going to have wars west of the Red Sea over water. Northern India has a staggering water problem and so does northern China. Southwestern part of the US has big water problems. If you can find a way to invest in water, you are going to be extremely successful and rich.
You shouldn't own water, though, because if you own water the politicians are going to snarl and sneer and say you are capitalizing on God's-given-right to water, you filthy capitalist. If you are lucky, they will hang you in the public square. If you are unlucky, it will be worse. But if you can transfer water or clean water or provide water, they will build a monument to you in the public square, and you will be extremely rich.
The Daily Bell Afterthoughts:
Jim Rogers is in fine form in this interview. We believe it is easily the best interview we've done with him in the sense that he was unusually frank and forthcoming and made some points that we have never read anywhere else, especially about water and how to invest in it.

Invest Like a Billionaire: Water Is The New Gold
Tatiana Serafin on 4/1/2010
http://www.mint.com/blog/investing/investing-in-water/
.............................................
Last year, legendary investor Warren Buffet bought a water treatment provider, Nalco Holding Company, adding to other water-related investments in his wildly successful portfolio. (As of March 30, 2010, a single share of his company, Berkshire Hathaway, could be bought for $122,459.)
The move sent ripples through the investing community: a clear signal that investing in water is an untapped opportunity. Water, like oil, is finite. There is only so much ocean saltwater, glacier freshwater and water in the air, while global consumption is growing twice as fast as the world’s population.
Climate change affects how and where this resource is delivered around the world, with more intense rainfalls and dry spells impacting everything from the food cycle to manufacturing to drinking supplies. Climate change is expected to account for about 20% of the global increase in water scarcity in coming years. The World Bank estimates water availability will change dramatically by the middle of this century, leading to what some have called “water wars.”
New water management technologies are the key to managing water scarcity. Buffet’s investment in Nalco, which had $3.7 billion in sales in 2009, is one example. The company helps its industrial customers reduce water and energy use. For example, it claims it 3D TRASAR® cooling water technology has saved more than 200 billion gallons of water. Nalco is also teaming up with organizations like the World Wildlife Fund to help develop ways to conserve water. The company’s stock price has doubled over the past year.
Also doing well is Buffet’s investment in General Electric: the company’s stock price is over 70% over the past year. About a quarter of the company’s total revenue is in energy infrastructure, which includes wind and oil as well as water, up from 17.8% of revenue just two years ago.
In a recent interview with the nonprofit news site Circle of Blue, General Electric Water’s director of marketing Jeff Fulgham identified two drivers for GE’s water business: helping manage water demand by creating new supplies through desalination, and water re-use technologies (the company itself has committed to reducing its consumption of water by 25% by 2015), as well as helping improve water quality.
The World’s Water Crisis
Water quality is a concern in the U.S. and around the world. The New York Times recently ran a series called “Toxic Waters” that exposed the worsening pollution in U.S. water systems and lax regulatory responses – despite the Clean Water Act, which helps regulate 100 pollutants. The fact remains that most of the pipes in the U.S. are over 100 years old; the American Water Works Association (AWWA) estimates that domestic water utilities will need to invest $330 billion over the next 20 years to replace aging pipes and treatment plants.
The rest of the world faces even direr water problems. China has 21% of the world’s population but only 7% of the renewable water resources. The country’s spending on water infrastructure reached $250 billion in 2008. By some accounts, the lack of clean water and sanitation slows the world’s economic growth by $556 billion each year.
Industry Players With a Future
Companies that can fix broken water systems are set to benefit from President Obama’s stimulus dollars, which are expected to flow in 2010. “The plan divides $21.4 billion to water and environmental infrastructure and $30 billion to building infrastructure, which should be allocated within the next four years,” says Michael Gaugler, an equity analyst who covers water for Brean Murray, Carrett & Co. He recommends Tetra Tech for the expected revenue uptick it will get for its consulting, engineering and technical services focused on water. (Buffet, meanwhile, also owns privately-held pump-maker Wayne Water Systems.)
The best opportunity at the moment may be publicly traded water utilities, says John Dickerson who runs Summit Global, a water focused investment fund based in San Diego. “Water utilities are the subject of benign neglect,” he says. “[They] are basically trading at a discount to the regulated asset base.”
Case in point: Aqua America, one of the country’s largest publicly traded utilities operating in 13 states which has been trading below last year’s stock price. Meanwhile, American Water Works, with an even larger reach in 19 states and across Canada, is trading around the same price as last year.
“Utilities are cheaper than they have ever been,” Dickerson says.
Invest Like Buffet – On a Budget
To be sure, unless you have a sizeable portfolio and feel comfortable investing in individual stocks, you may simply consider a fund like Dickerson’s, which has been around since 1999. Several new water-focused funds have launched over the past five years as well. Brennan Investment Partners’ Kinetics Water Infrastructure Fund invests in companies that provide solutions to water industry problems; Credit Agricole Funds Aqua Global and FourWinds Capital’s Aqua Resources Fund are also on the water scene.
As always, diversification should remain a key part of your investment strategy. Gaugler suggests that 10% to 20% of one’s portfolio may be invested in water, but depending on your risk tolerance and investment horizon, that may not be the case for you. Many individual investors may be better off dedicating a smaller share to that – or any other — industry. Be sure to consult with your financial planner or adviser (if you have one) before making any radical portfolio moves.

not too much new on this site lately, however read my comment from april 7th. not too bad, i would say...this is a hype POS stock, compliments of Mark Smith.
Can't seem to get stock to short this POS. Stock might be worth $1.00 at the most...but that's probably too optimistic. Stock down 14% today and we still don't know why the company is delaying the filing of their 10K...
2 questions for the jackal: 1.) why the delay in 10K filing? 2.) any idea how much more stock mr. smith owns in UGSI? or anyone on this site who might have some answers? thanks much
“... This financing will allow Geospatial to invest in necessary equipment and increase our technical sales team, providing us with the additional resources we need to expand your data collection and infrastructure management services across North America,” Smith said in a written statement.
EXPANSION is the word... that is how GSPH is affected - positively. I do not see anyting negative in this at all.
How does the private placement affect things?

Geospatial Holdings, Inc. Featured in TIME Magazine
CEO Mark Smith Explains Use of Smart Probe(TM) Technology in the Rapidly Growing Sector of Underground Infrastructure Mapping
http://investor.geospatialcorporation.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=447899
PITTSBURGH, Mar 01, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Geospatial Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB: GSPH), a developer and producer of technologies and services for managing underground pipeline assets, is featured in an article in the March 8 edition of TIME magazine. The article, written by Coeli Carr, describes the critical contributions that Geospatial's Smart Probe(TM) technology could make to the rebuilding of the nation's underground infrastructure.
In the story, titled "What Lies Beneath," Geospatial CEO Mark Smith estimates that in the US, utilities and state agencies collectively spend more than $3.5 billion annually to locate subterranean infrastructure--oil, gas, water and sewer pipes and electric and telecommunications cables--and that Geospatial's technology offers a cheaper and more accurate alternative to existing methods. "There's a spaghetti bowl of cables and pipes below the earth. Our clients are beginning to understand the value of mapping out their entire underground system," Smith says in the article.
Ms. Carr notes that most companies and municipalities have no idea exactly where their conduits are located. Geospatial's rapid growth, she writes, comes from the increasingly critical need of its clients--including Comcast, Qwest, Sunoco, and various federal and local government agencies--to accurately identify the positions of their underground pipe and cable assets. The article reports that the irregular placement of old pipes has come back to haunt many firms whose contractors have unwittingly hacked into their own--or other companies'--pipelines during repair work.
The article also describes Geospatial's Smart Probe(TM), which maps infrastructure in 3-D while coursing through a pipe at 6 feet per second. The probe's cylinder contains measuring devices that perform 800 calculations per second to create an accurate rendering of the conduit. At both ends of the cylinder are wheel sets equipped with odometers. Geospatial customizes the final data for client viewing on different geographic information system (GIS) platforms. "Underground data management is the next frontier [for Geospatial]," writes Carr. "For an annual fee, clients can see the 3-D maps of their subterranean assets on a secure Web-based GIS portal called GeoUnderground, which can be easily accessed on a netbook or smart phone."

Geospatial Corporation (Geospatial), a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania based company, is a solutions provider for the underground infrastructure industry. Using proven mapping systems technology, we successfully and accurately map XYZ centerline coordinates and create three-dimensional maps and Geographic Information System (GIS) databases. Geospatial is the exclusive provider of innovative, proprietary technologies and services throughout North America, South America and Australia.
As the number of underground systems increases and the need for replacing aging subsurface infrastructure continues, it is critical to identify the specific location of the utilities and conduits to assist in modifications, upgrades, retrofits, and replacements. Our precision technology gives our clients in the oil and gas, electric, municipal services (water and sewer), telecommunications, electrical transmission, GIS and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) markets fast, cost-effective solutions, which minimize disruptions while enhancing customer satisfaction. We also offer solutions and technology to industry service providers including engineers, consultants and constructors regarding critical infrastructure issues.
Geospatial Corporation utilizes innovative technologies to create highly accurate, 3-dimensional (3D) maps and data bases of underground pipelines (newly installed or existing) and other buried assets and structures.
Geospatial’s mapping and GIS portal technologies allow for the comprehensive, timely and accurate compilation and management of the various forms of underground data such as water, sewer, electrical, telecom and energy pipelines while presenting this data in a properly positioned spatially context with layers showing roadways, buildings, and other urban infrastructure.
These technologies uniquely position the company to economically create and develop 3D web-based maps of the world’s underground pipeline infrastructure, to assess the condition of those pipelines and to present the collected information to the proper stakeholders in a totally secure method via the internet.
The benefits of collecting and delivering this critical spatial data are broad and deep, partly because of the physical infrastructure investments that are being planned to greatly change the underground landscape of America’s cities. The collection of geospatial data that chronicles this change is essential to both the nation’s economic development and overall general improvement in the quality of life for all.
The Portal -- GeoUnderground -- is a “software-as-a-service” (“SAS”) model developed exclusively for web-based multi-users for underground and aboveground infrastructure data management and decision management applications. The Portal incorporates GIS functionality and web services in standard Enterprise IT environments.
Applications developed by Geospatial enable municipalities, pipeline operators and engineers to deploy innovative new services within a single framework. Solutions built on the Portal enable assigned users to organize accurate 3D pipeline positional information, geo-referenced CCTV, leak detection, corrosion and other complex condition assessment data, and use that information to understand complex business processes, answer questions, solve problems and plan ahead by looking at data in a way that is quickly understood and easily and more securely shared within an organization as digital maps.
Geospatial’s technologies accelerate “time to results” and provide affordable, predictable and scalable solutions that make it the ideal infrastructure management systems for municipalities, engineers and pipeline owners/operators of any size and complexity.
Aging infrastructure and the lack of accurate pipeline location data has long been identified as an impediment to the efficient and effective budgeting, management and rehabilitation of our nation’s deteriorating underground pipeline systems. GIS data includes collections of computer hardware, maps, databases, and software, which enable users to access location-based information in a useful and timely manner. The collections of information placed into GIS applications gives users the ability to create interactive queries, analyze spatial information, edit data, access maps and present the results of all these operations to facilitate planning and decision-making.
