I hope you are right. Today was a nice day of accumulation for sure. Nice volume, nice to stay well above the pivotal .12 area. Today was very bullish. I would love to see the company issue an update tomorrow or Wednesday, going into the earnings call. If it is positive at all. The sky will really be the limit here. So much of a sell off. So much of a recovery coming soon. Friday and Today were much needed GREEN days. Hoping tomorrow is the Third Day, and the charm. Holding and hopeful.
Come tomorrow, when GST closes somewhere around .25 or higher, your .17s are going to be looking pretty good.
L2 is pretty darn thin imo
hope this wont be another Flanders
Was at .50 just a few trading days ago. Not much news out. Just a couple of resignations. Then earnings come out soon also. This is a complete sell over overdone. Where it bounces no one knows. However a great bounce appears imminent. Best to you.
The volume is the key. Over lunch time on Friday, there was a group that wanted a position, and the PPS meant nothing to them. The MM raised the Ask, and the buyers continued to slap the ask. If we see those buyers come in tomorrow, the sky will the limit for sure.
Once 3pm hit on Wall Street, we saw the Friday afternoon day traders sell off their shares, and we tested and bounced off the .12 area, which is very positive. Then in after hours trading, we saw some shares go for .13 which is positive too.
I expect this week to be a good one. Starting at .125 for us in the morning. I think the worst is behind for us buyers down here. The .09 triple bottom confirmation was great to see.
Then we saw the bounce at .12 on Friday, we did not break that support. This one has bounce all over it. Next resistance will be .15 on the way up, then at .19.
I want to see some volume for sure. 52m was huge for a Friday no doubt. Many of those entered and exited and made 50% ++ on their shares. However the accumulation that took place over lunch and testing .19 was crazy on a Friday.
This one has more than we know going on. Someone wants in for whatever reason. That is good enough for me to continue to hold my shares. If that big money is expecting something and they are willing to buy all the way up to .19. That tells me, they know more than I do.
I will keep my shares, and hopefully sell at a nice ROI. Best to all, IMO we are going to have a great UPcoming week. I hope to see .15 plus tomorrow, and see about surpassing a quarter in the upcoming days.
I'd be happy if it closes around .14 - .19 tomorrow.
I expect a high of .19 - .22 tomorrow. Be lucky if it in the .25 - .28 range
The way this one went up on Friday was unreal. Then the day traders that refuse to hold over a weekend. I think we see this open at .125 or better and probably see a close of .15 or better tomorrow. This one is oversold. Chart is showing a stair case move IF we stay above .12. I think we do. I agree on a possible spike tomorrow and onward and upward going into earnings.
I doubt you will be able to get it that cheap. I am betting it goes up pre-market tomorrow.
good time to buy at .12? or wait
I am wanting a quarter for my shares. Then i plan to place a market stop loss and if it goes up i will move it higher. However if it loses steam I would hope to get a quarter for my shares. Best to all here. Would love .50 or even a dollar but it is in complete control of the shorts and daytraders IMO at this point. Anything is possible being here in penny stocks. .
Anyone think GST will do well on their ER?
I am surprise it tanked from 1.39 to 0.09
It would surprise me if GST does a thunder run to $1 or more which has done that last year.
I bet the offer is for a lot more than $.14 per share. Sounds to me that anyway you look at it, if you are holding GST, you are fixing to make some QUID!!!

"No one knows what tomorrow will bring..." and yet you feel the need to contradict yourself. Wish I didn't have to pay to use an ignore feature.

Thoughts on this? How does this effect GST? Just curious on opinions...
http://www.kallanishenergy.com/2018/07/26/gastar-exploration-weighing-purchase-offer-from-ares-management/
Houston-based Gastar Exploration is considering the sale of the company or a restructuring of its balance sheet, Kallanish Energy reports.
It is studying an offer from another firm, the company said.
On Monday, the company got a preliminary offer sheet from California-based Ares Management LLC, according to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The non-binding preliminary term sheet was filed by Ares affiliate AF V Energy.
Last May, Gastar Exploration had formed a three-member committee to explore future options for the company.
It also hired the Kirkland & Ellis law firm and New York-based Perella Weinberg Partners to help it evaluate what it happening.
The company also reported that two of its directors, Ronald D. Scott and Nathan W. Walton, resigned last Friday, effective immediately.
The company is active in the STACK play in Oklahoma.

This stock is going to bounce hard before the conference call on August 10th. How does an analyst drop his outlook from $1 to $0.14 based on the sale of some preferred shares? Stock plummets from near $.60 to $.09 with little volume. Likely caused by the downgrading analyst as he sold the shares he was holding. Then, two board members resign? I will be very surprised if some law firm doesn’t investigate this. In the meantime, if Gastar Exploration reports earnings greater than $.14 it will climb fast. In the more likely event that they report >$.50 per share, we will easily have a five bagger here. Either way, I predict at least $.35 pps by August 9th. Higher after earnings come out that day.

Like I said many times before, the stock completely controlled by MM, as you can see in the last second when Bid was $.13.05 and Ask was $.1315 then how come it closed @ $.12.5??? Same chit likes yesterday they dragged it down from $.107 to $.098 in the last minute.. Anyway I sold all @ $.179 - $.187and bought back ton of shares @ $.1246 - $1278.. MM game can’t beat me... should be another runs up tomorrow but not as good as today... I’ll sell again for 10-15% gain before MM takes it down to less than $.12... GLTA
Bought in this morning at .1201, almost sold at .19 then was thinking it was done after dropping into 12's but it held well. I am setting my sell order for .65 and just sitting back to enjoy next week.
GLTA and have a good weekend
$$$$GST$$$$
That was a pretty crazy close. Huge buys and sells the final 10 minutes. By the time the financials are released in the next two weeks, this will be around $.75 per share. Going to be a nice paycheck. LOADED the cheapies early.
Healthy churning of shares today. Many were bought above .13 today. Great to see the .09 shareholders able to flip out on this one. Very nice ROI. As far as over IMO this trade was good from .09 to .17 today. I would expect us to see .12 close or better once the dust settles. Traders never want to hold over a weekend. I did like the volume at .15-.18 today. Some big slaps. Folks that hated it at a dime, loved it instantly at .15++ today. I expect next week to have some nice flip opportunity here. Bring on the volume. And IF we get any positive news, the sky will be the limit here. Time will tell. Made good ROI today along with many others, now reloaded for the next run up. Enjoy your weekend all. Next week should be GREEN around here also for anyone that buys sub-.20 IMO.
DCB is over....this will languish its way down to a nickel or below. Institutional holders will now take your money all the way down until they are out of the play.
.162 is the resistance right now. We need to attack that and we clear .17 quickly. However if we do not, back to .14-.15 area. Nice to see the .16's print. But we need to break 162 or we will see a small drift. Great seeing the buying pressure today. Great to see those .09 and .10 shares, going away, getting flipped today. Nice one day profits. However this one going into next week, should be interesting. Still plenty of money to recoup for many longs here. I am hoping next week to test and surpass .20. Time will tell, this one was trading at .50 and higher, just 4 days ago. This has been a heck of a sell off. Now bring on more buyers!
So glad I loaded a ton of 9s yesterday! Congrats to all!
I think it should be $0.15 - $0.20 next week before the News...
Trading range 09-14 until news comes out
Hope MM let the bull runs loose today ... $0.13 is fine with me... next week will be good week before the conference call.. GLTA.

The last minute of trading showed the MM are in complete control of this stock. There was tons of buys going on and they tanked the PPS in the last minute to keep the chart from showing a bullish candle stick. Go figure. Tomorrow with any buying pressure the PPS recovers. I am betting we open at .11 tomorrow. We should test .13-.15 with the buying pressure
Them F U K I N G chit MM ... dragged PPS down in the last minute..
Bulls have finally taken over in Power Hour here! Great to see, still 10 minutes left in the day, however nice to see some buys and the MM moving up their ask. Lets hope tomorrow we continue to see more buying pressure on these MM. I am hopeful for a bounce, and this last 30 minutes of trading is showing us what will come IF this company continues to give us positive updates, from this day forward. Time will tell, nice to see the buys slapping the ask for sure. Best to all. Here's to hoping we see a green close and light up the first positive candles in many trading days for this stock.
Fake trade... manipulated. MM trying hard to steal many shares as they can before this puppy hits the moon..I’m holding mine...
This is a long shot for sure. It is tough to play the earnings call. However IF they announce anything positive we shareholders will be rewarded. This stock is trading as though they announced BK. The company has NOT said that about BK. I hope mgmt has a few cards up their sleeves, and rewards us that are buying down here. This appears to be a gift, since IMO the BK idea is figured into current PPS. Now IF the company announces anything positive, and I mean ANYTHING other than BK. Anyone buying sub-quarter levels should be rewarded. This stock was solid .50 a few short days ago, before the latest round of PR's. I am taking the chance here, and hoping for a miracle. Lets see what happens. Risk vs. Reward on this one. Long shot probably....however the reward will be great IF they dodge the BK word. Time will tell, best to all here.
for the new beees "GST" i am averaging my position down august 6th before financial and investors conference call. expect to achieve a gain. love oklahoma great value their and hard workers. go HOW truckin just keep the gas clean.
There has to be some buyers at some price I am sure. Lets hope it holds in the 9's. I have no idea what it is going to do. I thought .12 was the bottom a couple days ago, then I added more at .101 for a double bottom, that I am down on those shares now too. Ugg, I will hold for a few days, hoping the selling pressure eases soon. Best to all here.
HOUSTON, July 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Gastar Exploration Inc. (NYSE American: GST) ("Gastar") announced today that it will release its second quarter 2018 results on Thursday, August 9, 2018 after the market closes. In conjunction with the release, Gastar has scheduled a conference call for 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time (8:00 a.m. Central Time) on Friday, August 10, 2018. Investors may participate in the call either by phone or audio webcast.
Best of luck to you. We are due for a bounce.
Might test the water tomorrow
Once the company gives an update. Many investors are expecting more bad PR. However IF we get lucky and hear anything positive. That will be nice.
This company paid a divvy not too long ago. Also has some nice assets with the land they own. This one has been well over-sold for sure. It is priced for a BK play. IF we investors get lucky and they find a way to skirt that, any purchases bought below the .20 area will be a true gift.
I am locked and loaded and will add more shares in this .10?? area. This has gotten ridiculous, heck even if they filed BK at this time, this stock with the assets should get back to .15 or higher.
Now lets talk about rebound, this stock if we get some positive news, it is down from the .50 area, in a matter of 3 trading days. What changed? We know mgmt stepped away, and the latest PR mentioned some possible restructuring.
If they are able to dodge BK, this one will be the buy of the year. With all the assets they have. I would love to know Book Value on this one? Also, once bargain hunters take over rather than the shorts, this one will be a FUN and RUN for sure.
Best to all here, adding more here on the dip personally. We have a confirmed Double Bottom. Time to make some money now in the coming trading day! Have a wonderful evening.

Gastar is actively developing and producing reserves in the Marcellus Shale play in the Appalachian Basin, which is one of the hottest E&P plays in the U.S. Approximately two-thirds of Gastar's total net production currently comes from our Marcellus Shale wells. Gastar's focus in the Marcellus Shale is in northern West Virginia where the Marcellus contains high-Btu-content natural gas that also yields significant quantities of condensate and high-value natural gas liquids. Currently, over a third of Gastar's production from this area is condensate and NGLs - making well economics extremely attractive. Gastar expects to have a total of 38 gross operated wells and 11 gross non-operated wells on production in the Marcellus Shale by year-end 2012. Gastar's current focus of activity in the Marcellus Shale play is in northern West Virginia. The economics of these wells is enhanced by the high-Btu content of the natural gas, which yields significant quantities of condensate and high-value natural gas liquids. Click here for larger image. Gastar holds approximately 75,500 net acres in northern West Virginia and southwestern Pennsylvania near acreage held by some of the most active participants in the play. Gastar's leases are strategically located in areas where it is believed that the Marcellus Shale is over-pressured and where operational issues such as water sources, water disposal and gas transportation have proven to be easier to manage than in other parts of the play. Gastar's contiguous acreage position enables it to drill long laterals (an average of approximately 5,000 feet in length), and perform pad drilling operations and conduct large multi-stage fracture stimulations that improve well performance and economics. Acreage in Marshall and Wetzel counties in West Virginia is the current focus of Gastar's activities and capital budget, with over 100 additional well locations identified for near-term drilling. Gastar is drilling multiple Marcellus Shale horizontal wells in northern West Virginia from drilling pads similar to those shown above. Gastar is developing the West Virginia acreage in partnership with Atinum Partners of South Korea, a leading private investment firm. Gastar completed a joint venture with Atinum in November 2010 which covers 42,200 net joint venture acres (21,100 net acres to Gastar) in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Outside the Atinum partnership, Gastar also holds 54,400 net acres primarily in Preston, Tucker and Pendleton counties in West Virginia in a dry-gas area referred to as our Marcellus East acreage. Due to current low natural gas prices, Gastar is deferring development of the Marcellus East acreage until prices improve. |

Gastar has acquired an initial lease position in a new oil play located in the Mid-Continent region of the United States with the objective of developing a program focused on low-cost, repeatable horizontal development of conventional oil-bearing formations. Along with a partner, we currently hold approximately 36,700 net leasehold acres (18,350 net acres to Gastar) in three adjoining areas of mutual interest. The initial plan is to drill and complete three gross (1.5 net) horizontal wells by early 2013 to test the potential of the area. Gastar will pay 62.5% of the first four wells' gross drilling and completion costs and 56.25% of the next four wells' gross drilling and completion costs to earn a 50% working interest. For all additional wells beyond the first eight in a prospect area, we are responsible for paying only the drilling and completion costs associated with our 50% working interest (approximate net revenue interest of 39%). We are responsible for all leasing and permitting activities. Gastar's first non-operated well in the Mid-Continent began flow-back operations on October 5, 2012. Based on a recent 30 day average, the well is producing at a stabilized daily gross rate of approximately 84 barrels of oil, 428 barrels of completion fluids and 94 Mcf of 1,496 Btu natural gas, yielding approximately 105 barrels of oil equivalent per day after processing. To date, approximately 19% of the completion fluids from the 13-stage fracture stimulation have been recovered. Drilling and completion costs on the well to date are approximately $4.8 gross ($3.0 net) million. The drilling of the second of the three planned wells has commenced. This well has reached its vertical depth of approximately 7,900 feet, and intermediate casing has been set. Drilling of the approximately 4,400 foot horizontal lateral is in progress (as of mid-December 2012), and the well is anticipated to be on production by late January 2013. Drilling and completion costs of this well are estimated to be $4.3 gross ($2.7 net) million. The third Mid-Continent well is scheduled to commence drilling early January 2013. |
