Another day Another flip. Like clock work.
Still goin’….
Go for it. Buy the dips is a good strategy for GE.
Selling GE is not.
Buy the dipper.
If it squawk like a duck it's probably a duck.
As stated, any belief that GE is some sort of “flipping opportunity” is COMPLETELY incorrect.
GE is a long term hold.
Penny players believe in flipping.
This is no penny.
Hope you are making a killing flipping the $1 moves.
Don't get greedy, this is still GE.
Still goin' up.....
Good flip money in the bank.
Still goin’ up….
GE is still risky play. why buy GE at $100 when you can own something much safer with little to zero risk
SBUX, K, GIS, SIG, KO, PEP, WM, AWR--etc
Ok, if you say so, if this hits $50 investors will still be celebrating, besides all the other things you mentioned. I get it.
No.
Bad luck is when the SEC puts a company on the lowest tiered exchange possible, because it did something like break the SEC filing statutes.
Bad luck is when the people governing the exchange you are on put out a SKULL and CROSSBONES and huge warnings in regards to trading it.
Bad luck is when they assign a company a "Caveat Emptor" designation and THEN prevent any retail traders from buying it, because it's too risky.
Owning a company like that is in itself "bad luck".
GE? GE is doing just fine. Culp is making changes that will allow GE to prosper (if we EVER get by this ever ending virus junk). He is cutting debt, he is casting off unprofitable divisions. And the divisions he is keeping are operating in a much more lean and mean manner.
Yup. This company will make investors happy they chose it as an investment. All in good time.
Bad luck seems to follow GE in every way.
Apparently under $100..... as it already dipped there the last 2 days. And now Iraq is calling for an investigation, so that should be interesting.....
Where is this thing going?
Over a $4 drop since Thursday....... what gives?
I think it at least has a chance to. Not much drives GE but Boeing is starting to sell airplanes again and every one sold is money in GE's pocket.
Boeing just had its target raised to $270/share. Anything that buoys Boeing will have a good effect on GE.
I don't think there'll be any huge moves but it's already been as high as 107 (today). 30 days is pushing it though. I think the next Q will drive it higher but that isn't due out until October.
If you're asking because of options buying? I think contracts farther out (even though obviously more expensive) are a better bet than closer expirations.
Does anyone see GE getting above $110 in the next 30 days or so? If so, why and/or how?
Buy low sell high, that is how you build wealth. Forget waiting for $1000 a share. Money is money doesn't matter where one flipped it.
Buy the dips - yes. Flip it?! Absolutely not.
GE will move much higher from here, in the years to come.
Will this happen overnight? No way. And I think market corrections along the way will slow ALL companies up from time to time. But I think (with no PERMANENT economic tragedies or upheavals), Culp will eventually bring GE back to somewhere near its former value.
Taking into account the effects of the Reverse Split, the $30 ~ $40 a share GE was worth back then will now turn into somewhere close to $250 ~ $300 a share.
GE is a buy and hold investment. Use spare cash and purchase what shares you can afford. Every year, evaluate GE’s performance and decide if it still fits your investment philosophy.
This is how INVESTORS do it. Gamblers can have the penny stocks. GE is a REAL company.
CULP SAY “EAT IT TUSA”
Buy the dips and flip the heck out of it till the wheels fall off.
~nope. Not interested @ this time
Still going up…..
Hey Greedy, are you still doing Calls on this? If so, how has it been working out?
Anyone else been playing Options with this since the R/S?
As I thought. Some rah-rah type probably. Doesn’t matter.
Apparently there is no link to such a target. And the highest analyst price target I have found is CFRA (f/k/a S&P World Markets) at $104
For the longest I have layed my eyes on GE it has always been, but $15 has always been a psychological barrier, never seems to wanna go past. Jmo
That would be ignorant. This is a long term play.
Day trade the dips if you can.
Ummmmm, you were saying?
Link to that target?
GE $200 TARGET PRICE WOOHOOOOOO
Let's wait and see if it will hold in the long run.
Probably from all those shares you have been buying that's all I can figure! LOL
GE did pretty well today. Keep posting.
over $1.35 billion traded in GE today, that seems higher than "average" of late, maybe not
was GE's average daily volume pre split north of 100,000,000?
NOPE!
https://ih.advfn.com/stock-market/NYSE/general-electric-GE/historical
Probably if they continue, they will take it to the out house. Lol
today's move almost looks like a capital raise in progress
Does GE make toilet paper?
No they don't matter ,let's see this hit $50 and see if that changes things.
ANY RS does NOT AFFECT shareholder value the day of the RS! The account worth is the same at the moment the split happens!
Also? THE RS was announced MANY MONTHS before it actually happened! Shareholders dissatisfied with the prospect of an RS had PLENTY of time to shed themselves of their shares.
But that in itself is a RIDICULOUS argument! DO you REALLY THINK any long term shareholders who owned this issue when it was $30~$50 per share, HELD ON all the way DOWN to the $5 range??
This was a long slow decline and shareholders had PLENTY of time to shed themselves of a losing stock! MOST would have CERTAINLY done so at the end of the years mentioned, specifically for TAX PURPOSES.
This argument is ridiculous!
If ANYONE still owns this stock from back when Jack Welch used to run things, all the way to the RS?? I don't have much sympathy for them and I certainly don't think much of their investment skills.
Sheeeeesh! So, long term shareholders who continue to be taken to the cleaners here with GE do not count? Are the shares held by long term holders who have considered GE a core investment for years less important than new shareholders? I submit not. The performance of GE stock over time is hardly irrelevant. SMFH
Looks like they finally decided to take investors to the cleaners. SMH
