Thats one of the main things I like about it...the hours. I wish the stock market is open longer. I usually cant wait for the weekend to be over before i start trading again.
Also, thank you for all the info you are providing, you are being very helpful making me understand this. I definately need to do some studying.
they're just like stocks, you have a bid and ask and you can also by call and puts on them, in my opinion, the only thing that is different about them is that they trade for one month, then expire, and they trade pretty much 24 hours a day, six days a week (no Saturdays) with a 45 minute break between 5:15 pm and 6:00 pm.
How does one trade futures? And about how much money do you need?
** Futures **
Futures tickers are a little different from stocks. Each futures market has a ticker symbol that is followed by symbols for the contract month and the year.
For example, crude oil futures have a ticker symbol - CL.
The complete ticker symbol for December 2008 Crude Oil Futures would be - CLZ8.
The “CL” stands for the underlying futures contract.
The “Z” stands for a December delivery month.
(F=Jan, G=Feb, H=Mar, J=Apr, K=May, M=June, N=July, Q=Aug, U=Sep, V=Oct, X=Nov, Z=Dec) The “8” stands for the year – 2008.

the charts update automatically and if you're a stockcharts.com realtime member (RT) they'll update every time you refresh the page.
the realtime charts from kitco update on every refresh.
right now I'm working on finishing up my ETF board
What a great looking I-Box !
You're putting together Market_Technician.
I've added your board to my Favorites because you've got a great collection of charts that I use to keep informed about the markets.
Will this board be only for discussing "Futures" or about other things too? Do your charts update automatically throughout the day?
Keep up the good work, and good luck.
.....Smoke 'em!.....
