What a piece of crap this is and it can only be propped up so long before there is an epic fall.
This is really therapeutic...lmao
Companies where you have to guess means don’t invest or invest and lose your money!
Companies which imply, could have, may have, do not equate to real companies, just scammers selling shares, run before it breaks, this isn’t real.
Just a matter of time before this BS is exposed for the garbage it is.
RUN While you can, no news, all fluff.
Agreed! I like what I see. I think we're definitely going to be adding more value to our shares.
Not sure if anybody has checked out the website today, it has been built out very nicely. Also, it looks like Thomas is going to do some of the type of lending that they advertise on their B.E. Capital website. We could have an actual operating business on our hands.

Our first book review!
Hi all,
You will see fund.com change a lot in the future as we build out the site and explore a sale of the domain. Part of building out the site is adding content. We just added our first book review of Maurece Shiller’s book Fortunes in Special Situations in the Stock Market. This is an investing classic- please find it under “Book Reviews” at the top of your screen and pick up a copy for yourself!
Yeah, that was awesome. It will be interesting to see how the trades pan out this week.
one thing is certain it's the first time in nearly 10 years that the stock price is $ 4, finally the light at the end of the tunnel
That would imply that someone knows that the URL was sold and how much money was offered. Not too sure about that.
Also, another huge factor is how many shares Galanis owned. Those shares would obviously be forfeited and benefit shareholders in a big way.
or someone knows something
Nice 2200 share trade at $4.00. I wonder if the buyer and seller were in cahoots.
We had some interesting trades today. I can't complain but the bid and ask were all over the place.

Dear Fellow Shareholders (and others!)
Dear Fellow Shareholders,
We have some die hard Fund.com shareholders that have supported us as we rebuild the company. Now that we have the domain up and running we’ve added a link to Amazon through its affiliate program. If you have an Amazon purchase coming up, consider stopping by Fund.com first and passing through our ad so we can earn some credit!
We also encourage anyone with a blog or web page to write us up and link to us. Traffic is good!
Lastly, we’d love some original content (and we will be adding some from us). If you’d like to write about your Fund.com adventure as a shareholder, we would love to share it on the site. In addition, if you have any other interesting investment news or analysis to share we would also love to put that up as well.
Reach out at brian@fund.com

Somewhere between $2.89 and $5, at least that is what people seem to think it is currently worth.
Assuming we now own the url, whats the analysis /valuation for stock?
I didnt see that but seems like a good guess
Decline
In September 2011 an unusually large 1 for 120 reverse split of Fund.com shares failed to stop the share price slide. Fund.com lost 99% of its value that year giving a market value of around $8.4 million. In late 2016, Thomas Braziel was assigned as a receiver to Fund.com and investigated how he could monetize the remaining assets of the company on behalf of shareholders. Among other things, he is trying to recover the fund.com URL that the previous management sold in an allegedly fraudulent transaction involving John Galanis. In addition, fund.com and AdvisorShares settled a lawsuit over an ownership dispute. While AdvisorShare has already paid fund.com $2 million, Braziel is trying to recover an additional $2.2 million dollars owed by AdvisorShares and unseal the terms of the confidential settlement made with the previous owners of fund.com.
In March 2008, Clek Media announced that it had brokered the sale of the domain name “Fund.com” for nearly $10 million in an all-cash transaction, to the company Fund.com Inc. Although never confirmed by the company itself, the purchase price would have been the highest recorded price paid for a web site domain up to that point, followed by Porn.com ($9.5 million) Business.com ($7.5 million) and Diamond.com ($7.5 million).[3] However, some industry insiders have questioned the validity of the amount reported.[4]

Fund.com Inc. is a US-based financial services information publishing company and fund platform that focuses on the fund management industry. Its aims were to provide a destination website for investments, including mutual funds, hedge funds, money market funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), closed-end funds, index funds, commodity funds and other types of pooled investment vehicles.
The company saw a significant decline in its share price after a soured business deal in late 2009 after which it has only traded in the “pink sheets”. Some of its senior executives were connected to Westmoore Capital from which Fund.com raised $1.5 million in 2008. Westmoore Capital was closed down by the SEC for running a $53 million Ponzi scheme.

Registrar URL: http://www.directnic.com
If you go to fund.com it redirects you to directnic and that the website is under construction, so there is something going on with the webiste. Maybe some are viewing this as it was sold, being sold. I don't think there is going to be much to buy under $4
ok, I see, thanks!
Nice spot, KDAWG. Ihunter, Thomas has a public twitter account:
@andrewrosener Hey Andrew i was wondering what you thought https://t.co/MOGCAXAgX6 is worth? Do you have a minute to chat about it?
— Thomas Braziel (@ThomasBraziel) July 7, 2018
interesting, is there any particular Twitter user who posts info about it, or do you just search for posts related to $fndm?
Hi, just curious, where did you see that info?
Looks like Thomas reached out to a guy who buys and sells domains to see what he thinks Fund.com would be worth. I'm assuming that spoke privately about it. Hopefully we can get a good price in a short amount of time.
You'd have to think that someone would want such an awesome URL. I figure someone would be willing to pay at least a couple of million.
curious to see how much is worth for url
I don think they'll lease it out. I think I'll have a better idea on the timeframe for the sale within a couple of weeks and let you know.
What do you think time frame on sale is? Do you think we will lease the name out first before selling?
Just to clarify as I just found out. We got the URL back and we're going to sell it. Original sold for 10 million back in 2008.

Latest News:
Oct. 25, 2010 (PR Newswire) --
NEW YORK -- Fund.com, Inc. (Pink Sheets: FNDMD), announced today that its subsidiary, AdvisorShares Investments, LLC, a developer and distributor of actively managed ETFs will begin trading the Cambria Global Tactical ETF (NYSE: GTAA) tomorrow, October 26th. GTAA is sub-advised by Cambria Investment Management, Inc., a Los Angeles, California- based investment manager.
Cambria will invest in underlying ETFs spanning all the major world asset classes including equities, bonds, real estate, commodities, and currencies. The Fund will utilize a quantitative approach with strict risk management controls to actively manage GTAA's portfolio in an attempt to control downside losses and protect capital. GTAA will do this by following a trend-based model utilizing multiple asset classes and will either be invested or will get defensive by going into cash for a particular asset class. The wide diversification coupled with prudent portfolio management may allow for the Fund to perform well across a full business cycle.
Noah Hamman, CEO and Founder of AdvisorShares, said, "Cambria has done an outstanding job developing research and education related to a GTAA strategy via their popular white paper, 'A Quantitative Approach to Tactical Asset Allocation,' and their recent book, 'The Ivy Portfolio.' We are very excited to be able to offer this risk-managing strategy to investors in an actively managed ETF."
Mebane Faber, Chief Investment Officer of Cambria Investment Management, said, "We are very excited to launch GTAA as we believe that investors need to be more proactive in managing their risk. Investors will appreciate the fact that we make no effort to forecast future market trends or direction, but rather attempt to capture profits in these trends when and where they develop."

http://etfdb.com/%27" rel="nofollow">Michael Johnston submits:The past few months have seen a number of interesting developments in the active ETF space. A number of major players in the mutual fund game have laid the groundwork for a foray into the ETF world, a development that could lead to a flood of interest (and cash) in active funds. Grail announced last month that it was partnering with DoubleLine, setting the stage for the active ETF space to get its first superstar manager. And the SEC’s review of the use of derivatives in mutual funds and ETFs has caused many issuers to shuffle regulatory filings, altering the universe of allowable securities in proposed ETFs.
On top of all that, the pipeline has continued to fill with new ETF ideas. One of the latest to hit the wire is the Active Bear ETF from AdvisorShares. In an SEC filing, the company behind DENT and the recently-launched GRV offered up some details on the proposed product, which seems to be unlike anything the ETF industry has seen to date. HDGE’s investment objective consists of “selecting a portfolio, on a short basis only, of liquid U.S. exchange-traded equities, exchange-traded funds and exchange-traded products.” Utilizing a bottom-up approach, the active ETF would seek to identify securities with “low earnings quality or aggressive accounting that may be intended, on the part of company management, to mask operational deterioration and bolster the reported earnings per share over a short time period.”
In addition to short positions in equities and ETFs that meet the aforementioned criteria, the fund will invest in short-term government securities and cash equivalents.
HDGE joins a number of other AdvisorShares ETFs in the product development pipeline, including the WCM/BNY Mellon Focused Growth ETF . The company’s first ETF product, the Dent Tactical ETF (NYSEArca: DENT - News), is the largest actively-managed equity ETF on the market with about $22 million in assets. That fund utilizes proprietary economic and demographic analysis to identify the overall trend of the U.S. and global economies and analyze how consumer spending patterns may change. The recently launched [[GRV]] uses a “relative value” approach, seeking to combine long positions in the most attractive country, sector, and industry ETFs with equal dollar amounts short in the least attractive country, sector and industry ETFs.

Hedge funds are only beginning to be discovered by a wider group of investors and are becoming an essential cornerstone of well-constructed investment portfolios. In 1990 hedge funds controlled $8 billion, but by 2007 the number grew exponentially to reach a total of $2.26 trillion. By focusing specifically on funds, Fund.com will have an advantage over general financial information websites since they will be able to expand further and present more detailed information. Fund companies will also be able to benefit tremendously as they will be able to gain additional exposure through Fund.com and attract would-be fund buyers who are much closer to a purchasing decision then someone who is searching for fund information through a search engine or a site focused more on stocks than on funds.
