How does that work? If you short a stock and it goes to zero and goes away you never have to cover and get to keep the $$$$??? I was tempted to buy 2.50 calls on this one at .40 today when it was .25 x .40 for the JAN 2.50 call, 30 seconds after I posted it on my board someone bought the .40 and it went to .50 so I waited. When the shorts cover I'm going to buy the 2.50 call options for JAN but I'm waiting for a bottom.
*sniff, sniff* Do you smell that?
Smells like FED to be shut down....coming on a Friday near YOU.
Good day - nice drop
$1.81 0.51 (21.98%)
Lots of volume - come to me daddy - I want .50!
It drops everyday!
ok, I was wondering WTF? .50? really? cool I love squeeze plays.
LOL - not really - we are waiting for a bottom - which hasn't been established - would like to see a few days of consolidation at a certain point and then 2 green days - then I would jump in.
This may be an entry - may not be - I personally think its still going down - but that is just me.
1.80 - for today - is holding - if shorts would begin covering you may go up .50 today!
You guys are waiting for .50?
Thanks for noticing!

interesting play here.
Wow - what a drop - she continues downward - still 40% plus short.
yep - need the board so we don't forget!
$2 and going down more. This is going as planned so far. Looking to make a killing.
FED still falling!
Come on, shorties. Come and get your FED. Take her down to .10 We're waiting for ya!
I predicted Downey just before it was seized - I was also loading up on VNBC at .05 and .06 - it then hit .96

Yep - just need it to go down another $2.00
Yippee! Another down day. Keep up the good work, shortie. We want to get in real low. LOL
there is a new Scottrade office in T.O, be going over there, plus have a check from a client p/u, will be happy to snap ya shot on the Nikon Coolpix and send it over. btw that the same area where the AMGN campus is, small world~
Absolutely - this is a stock we are watching for a bottom - it is 40% shorted and we believe it is an excellent company that has some serious potential!
I marked it and when I'm in T.O. this week I will check it out, do you want a pic of the new office for the ibox?
Thanks for noticing!
will have 2 chk that out
nice board
Must be. He sure came out of nowhere in a hurry.
I think Raw Eggnog is holding a short position. LOL

Less than 2 months later.....DSL seized by the Feds. FED next IMO.
Wamu was opening branches like their pants were on fire. Your poiint?
Probably an attempt to get more depositers to train to delay FED's absolutey inevitable death which is smart.
Never happened with DSL, FED's sister.
I read that they just opened up a new branch in Thousand Oaks, CA and have plans on opening two more in the next couple of months. That doesn't sound like a company about to go under.
It will happen - it always does - sooner or later.
Yes, I WOULD!
Welcome to the board!
It is my pleasure - I love finding the boomers!
FED is already shorted to the max and has been for a long time -- any time shorts cover and allow new shares to be borrowed, fresh shorts come in and short. Most shorts have no interest in covering until it goes to zero. They are shorting it to death -- literally -- so why cover ever?
I'm not short FED at this time, but FED has been on my list for some time as a bank that will go under. Its "sister" as I called it, Downey Savings (DSL -> DWNFQ) has fallen. FED next.
FED management is worse than DSL. They have the same problems as DSL only FED had a ton of stock options for executives and tried to do one of the most aggressive buybacks in the history of the stock market last year as everything was blowing up in FED's face, with FED at $40, $50, $60/share, taking out huge loans to make the buyback instead of trying to conserve cash for survival. FED's management is among the lowest scum in the banking industry IMO. Be careful -- their death can come without notice literally at any moment. Their non-performing assets are through the roof!
Would you like some help with getting the iBox built up?
Been looking more into this. Looks very promising!
Marked it.
This thing has been shorted for months. The shorties control the crap out of it and it does appear to be heading south. Will it hit .50? Maybe. This will be a major winner when we get in.
Thx, stockie...
You should give the board a boardmark for easy entry - LOL!
The lower it goes - the harder it is going to bounce - .50 would be great!
A nickel would be a dream come true - doubt that happens.
Nope - I think they are not ready to buy back in and cover because they all want to cover at the lowest possible price and I agree, it doesn't appear to be going up yet - so why cover?
Problem is - when people do see the bottom has been hit - they will be panic covering - which will put me in a very good position if I have the right entry!
I love these plays - kind of like VNBC - I loaded at .06 and waited through the consolidation period - it then jumped from .06 all the way to a top of .96 in 2 days!
Chart of FED. I'm watching the ADX +DI to turn.
Holy smokes! With that much of a short interest, you think the shorties are expecting this to go under?
Current Price $2.39 per share!
As of today!
Current short position - WOW - wait till these cover!
http://www.shortsqueeze.com/?symbol=fed
I am thinking it will be a MAJOR PLAY - soon - but its not ready yet!
Have no idea where it will bottom - I believe it is getting near - but I am not a buyer yet - I would like to see a confirmed bottom!
This is number 1 on my watch list and I am excited about the opportunity here!
