Anyone here find benefit to signing up for the premium service? I'm still using my fitbit, but, haven't tried premium. I used to keep track of my calories, but, haven't done that for awhile.

That's an interesting idea, but, I really liked viewing the trends on the app. I'm still wearing it at the moment, but, seriously considering this to be my last week of it. Pretty sure of it actually.
It's been great seeing my sleep cycles and what my HR does at various times. It's been quite educational. The most interesting is seeing the run up in resting heartbeat as a kind of warning that something like a cold or flu is coming on. I stay away from others when I see that happening. That's the primary value of it to me at this point.
Privacy is becoming more of a serious issue... has been for a long time. Look at the DNA testing companies... they started out doing well, and suddenly having a tough time gaining business.

I can understand how you feel, Karin, I also value my privacy. That said, it isn't necessary to stop using your Fitbit, just disconnect it from the app so it isn't sending info back to your phone and/or computer and Fitbit (soon to be Alphabet).
I actually have two Fitbits, one connected to their app and the other not. Either one will tell me the info I want, but I prefer to use the one that is not sending my info back to Big Brother, LOL

I may stop using my Fitbit... I've used it long enough to have a good feel for what my body does during specific exercises and sleep. What I don't like is adding health related info to that which Google already collects on me. Big tech simply has too much info on each of us.
I have the same issue with Apple.
But, it's good that investors can get out if they so choose.

Totally agree. I’ve seen that happen on other buy outs in the past.
Imo it might start to drop briefly to fill that huge gap. I’m watching closely. If that happens, I’ll grab as many shares as possible and ride it up to at least 7.35. It will most likely go much higher than 7.35 eventually, though
Christmas indeed came early =)
Sold some share to get my initial investment back and then some $$. Will sell more at next target of $10 and let the rest ride!!!
Lol not holding for months for a gain like that. Ive seen many stocks get bought out though and the share price go way beyond the buyout price
All you can do at this point is either sell for money now, as the most you will get is 7.35 per share, unless it gets voted against by shareholders. Not likely for that to happen. You can buy now and hold for the buy out and make about .20 per share if that is the type of invested you are. It will be garunteed profit at this price as Google will buy all shares at 7.35 at some point in 2020.
So you think the price is gonna fall?
I don't think FIT will likely go much higher based on the buyout price of $7.35 per share
That huge gap has to close before it runs, imo
FIT ON FIRE....
They were ON POINT with this one.
The news is out, what is going to drive this stock up now...
Hey, I have a question:)
If the deal is for Google to pay $7.35 per FitBit share, then how will it go to $20 per share (what you said you're holding for)?
New-ish to all of this and trying to understand if a buy-out means they will pay more than the 7.35 announced. And, is that even allowed....?
Just trying to learn here....thank you!
Can anybody explain why this isnt exploding up?
This is a hige deal, so why is the share price not surging up?
Google parent Alphabet to acquire Fitbit for $2.1 billion
Google's parent company Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) is acquiring health tracking company Fitbit (FIT) for $2.1 billion. The deal will pay out $7.35 per Fitbit share, which was priced at $6.16 in pre-market trading Friday. The news follows an earlier report that the two firms were set for a tie up.

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL SOON TO BE RICH!!!! HELLA YEAH!!
One thing for sure. Someone knew something pre-halt this morning as there were 14,000 shares soaked up
right before the Halt!!!
(Some dumb ass sold about 1,000 right before that!!!)
LOL!!!
I think it could be Google.
Really? Then why would they Halt the Stock if there wasn’t going to be a Buyout???
That doesn’t make any sense...
Fitbit Halted pending news. Possible Google/Alphabet buyout
Have a feeling no buyout.. This was to get price up... Let's us know value of here.... Imo... Unless they announce something soon...
Fit doing well today. Simply need to load up for the Google update on a buyout. Good idea to have shares in the system in case they announce after hours. Sometimes after hours a company will say the buyout and share price effective the day of the announcement. Meaning your shares will get the higher price.
ADDED ANOTHER 5K ON YESTERDAY DIP!!
FIT 10$ COMING !!!
RISH SOON !!!
Bulls came back and Fit looks in good shape for another run.
LOADING HEAVY!!! FIT is going to make me rich!!
