BAR,
I bought into "can't be a 2 time BK loser", "worldwide leader can't fail a second time", "More assets then liabilities". I won't go on. I don't invest more than I can lose. I have already accepted my future with Exide. Lose and learn!!!!!!!!!!!!
How long have you held Exide and why did you buy it in the first place?
I've seen much worse stocks on IHUB
BAR,
If you could help me prove I was insane when I bought Exide could I get my money back?
Never thought of that. I knew it wasn't enough to mean anything. I was just curious.
A reasonable possible scenario: Grandma is 90, wealthy and mentally incompetent. Edge handles her investments. Her 92 year old brother dies leaving everything to grandma. Among his many investments, grandpa owned 5000 shares of Exide.
Those few Exide shares are in an account Edge manages or advises on for others. The increase was probably because the beneficiary transferred in shares from outside the account. Hundreds of similar small holdings are shown. Means nothing.

Not trying to say this means anything but why would an investment fund waste their time and money investing in Exide after 3/27? That is about 300.00. Not enough for them to even notice win or lose.

It's always American, never Braniff, Continental, Delta, Frontier (the old one), Eastern, Pan Am, United (the old one), Northwest, US Airlines, or 50 smaller ones that disappeared in the past 50 years.
if going to zero, they don't have to buyback shares imo. i don't short but common sense tell me they don't need to. shorting is expensive here and not many shares are out there to borrrow. i think most are held by big guns and not retail.i didn't think it had to do with fail to deliver as there are plenty even on ihub ready to sell. i don't think the people buying are folks on ihub or ymb, they are professional investors buying 360,000 shares in a lot. i thought i saw a bid of 1 million shares last month that sat there and got filled. again, i laid out what i think and not holding my breath. don't pump any more money into it, rather get out based on your sitaution: risk tolerance, due diligence, tax situation etc. i have spent at least 1000's of hours and ink cartridges after ink cartridges and at least i am less dumber than before as i did learn a lot in this, my first q.
most por announcemnet in wsj, law360 and others end the release by saying the commons, stock will be canceled but in exide they don't. none of the press release do. there is no faq posted either that is routine for skadden. may be it is an oversight or they forgot but just saying. i can't say for sure if every chap 11 press release once por is approved states that stock will be canceled but i do know faq does state that and quickly.
SA I thought it had to do with the fail to deliver but the shares should be easy to come by. XIDEQ came off the SHO Flag list. Thursday was the last day they were on it. If it tanks Monday maybe that was it. Also short interest only went up to 1.9m from 1.7m. I still do not understand shorting. Do they have to buy back the shares in a certain time or can they hol until this goes to zero?
i won't exactly call it a miracle. they won't be doing a favor. lot of money is hidden in europe, double dipping, under valuation. i think it was a sham put up to drive away the tort claimants, state, epa etc. do you really think if they said shareholders would get some money that tort cliamants would settle for 2.5 million when they asked for 3.5 billion? do you think texas setteld for few million when asked for 100 million before? they had reserved 100 milllion for texas where is that rest of the money siting as they only paid few million? i can go on. there is too much money unaccounted for and too much money left in nol's. so i think the mircale could be that exit finanacing may have something in it that would leverage nol's. why would a company sacrifice a pile of cash sitting with tax collectors? i am appaled with the sham and unaccounted money.
why do you think the price has not dropped significantly after por announced a month ago but volume is 5 fold? why do you think they haven't closed yet? why do you think they will have a need to change the dip arrangemnet again as it expires april 30th? the creditors are in control and can do anything. if i were them, i would not want to lose money on nol's.
i would have expected the price drop below 0.01 after 27th . someone is accumulating for sure, i don't think otherwise after analyzing trades in detail. i have done my math, i save miniscule by selling now as per my risk profile , so my claiming of tax loss is good enough for me. you see either we claim the tax loss or they take the nol's. it is a zero sum game. tresaury went out of its way with series of notices to save nol's for gm that it is still enjoying, don't underestimate nol's. i would say you can still get out and not be unhappy about it later, plenty of chances, my risk profile and thinking is difefrenet as i have spent a lot of time on this bankruptcy , it is most complex as you know and not easy. i am ready for any outcome and you should too as you had plenty of time to do so. i have been wrong so far and may still be but am taking a decision after carefully thinking over and i have laid it out here over last year and half.
You two keep saying this will get cancelled and I haven't seen anyone that believes otherwise. Both of you seem like experienced traders. Why the odd trading? I just don't see how anyone can say it is. Buys again yesterday out paced sells almost 5 to 1. We know this is not dilution. People are selling their shares before being canceled. Then who is buying all these shares on the ask. I have seen 2 different buys at over 20k apiece much less all the 10k buys. Not arguing with either of you on what happens in the end. Would like to know your opinion. One that makes sense.
Usually you get plenty of notice, multiple days at least. But vigilance is a must. Following the court docket too.
H.A.,
Do you think they will announce the "Effective" date of emerging from BK day before it happens? This waiting game sucks.
Exactly. And you get the crackpots here going 'if AAR can do it, this one can too' . . . pass the popcorn.
How about one public document
Verifiable
That says commons will not get wiped out
Have you found one
If yes let's all know
Otherwise

Right now this appears to be a nice day trade
For a few hundred dollar gain if that's your thing
Not me
flying albatross, so what miracle needs to occur to change its direction?
Contrast XIDEQ with the S&P 500 index which set a record high today.
No idea either. Maybe just some final tradng and musical chairs before trading stops, but I'm holding on to a little help
Lol $52.07, i'm still riding the old AAMRQ - AAL train, but nowhere in the aamrq por did it say that shares will be cancelled
Death crush to zero, but plug gets pulled before that.
I don't see how every document says the commons get wiped out and anyone could think differently ???
If you are lucky enough to be able to take a tax loss later
Then just do that
Or sell some now and preserve the $$ and keep a little in case a miracle occurs
There is always a chance of the other scenario
Funny i was at a dinner meeting last night and some guy sitting to left starts to tell me about american airlines and how the share price was 39 cents and now 40 dollars or something like that I believe i was intimately familiar having held exide
I can't find any meaningful recent news. Maybe some privileged insiders know something. I don't see how it could be good news for us low life commons.
what do you all say is going on? por news is everywhere on social media: twitter, ymb, ihub, wsj, google. strange who would still be buying.
Here's a link to his bio. Perhaps one of the investor relations contacts at one of the organizing he's involved with cod help pass a message along, or provide some contact info.

good idea, can't hurt to write to wandell. can you post his address to write to or email or both?
You might be right. Already over 1mm.
I don't recall the name, but their is a new important director that is appointed once out of ch11, am i correct? If so, maybe we should be writing him.
The same as any other day. Not going anywhere until they are through.
I don't see anything happening here because the volume went up but the price is almost same. Just IMHO.
Actually I pulled that off of IHUB so what I am seeing is 15 minutes behind. I use TDA. Every thing I am seeing is buys but ARCA walking it down a little.
Big trades so far 100k and 131k at 0.067 and 0.068 respectively.
I am looking at TD Ameritrade. Looks like you looking at Fidelity.
My guesstimate is that we may cross 3 million volume today.
686k bought on the ask vs 2000 sold into the bid.
1 million in the first half an hour.
700k volume in the first 11 minutes.
NITE put 226k for 0.80 on Ask side and 307k for 0.065 on Bid side.
400k volume in the first one minute.
good point. there could be two reasons why someone wants to hold the price down in a situation like this:
- accumulation
-there is one scenario where value of nol is dependent upon share price. only person who would want to do this would be the acquirer so that he does not have to justify paying much for the equity stating nol's aren't worth.
comments?
i would have expected a huge price decline with huge volume and we haven't seen that and it's almost a month since 27th the por was approved. something is going on.
LOL funny . . . I think someone decided to pull their bid and force down the ask. They should try it again tomorrow.
BaGr, but today only it has a big volume of 2.8 million. Yesterday it's just 1.29 million. It's around 1.7 million day before yesterday.
There has been plenty of buying prussure but either BMIC or ARCA has been on the ask with a fake 10k lot. After a lot of buying the would move off and the price would rise.If it got to high they would walk it back down. Today they were both on the ask together after the price reached .083. They walked it down in a very short time and stayed most the day which is why it stayed in high .06s even though there was a lot of buying. Also for 2 days in a roll ETRF has shown up to stop the rise in price after it got in the .08s Its been obvious these three have controlled the upward movement for weeks.
are you saying that mm are pushing the price down and the buying pressure is high? sorry confused.
"even though buys were almost double the sells'
"Before that the sells were double the buys but it went from .078 to .083"
I think we would need much more volume to signal that. Could just be some profit taking from day traders.
Market makers have shown they are in complete control of this stock. From the time ETRF put up the block at .083 BMIC abd ARCA dropped the price to .066 even though buys were almost double the sells. Before that the sells were double the buys but it went from .078 to .083. Bizarro world.
i bought with conviction and will lose with conviction. this wait has conditioned me for whatever the end is. there is money and if they cheat us, what can you do?
