@RatingsNetwork: Emerge Energy Services LP upgraded by Zacks to hold. https://t.co/0BFQx28tT2 $EMES #EMES
Yes... That stock has already taken it's beating and is due for a bounce, but I haven't invested in either stock
Yet you like DOM?
Well for the common investor... I think this is a sell... Here's why... All information is from direct quotes.... Pretty much a pinkie IMO...
Emerge Energy did not generate available cash to distribute for the three months ended September 30, 2015 due to the challenging oil and natural gas frac sand market and the volatility in wholesale fuel prices during this period.
Emerge Energy today also announced it will release its third quarter results before the financial markets open on Wednesday, November 4, 2015.
Mr. DeShazo will receive a one-time bonus of $200,000.
Thanks for the info doc! I learned something new today
Just real quick maybe because they know it'll be higher this time next year and will get massive write-offs from loses of the last quarter and maybe next. Because they're not limited to just (3,000) as Schedule D if its not long term... just a quick guess as just did taxes for Oct. 15, check with tax advisor of course for real results... When did they buy in at 17?
http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/emes/insider-trades
Wow, that didn't last long.... lol it was down 40% now up...
Why would insiders buy at $17 ? Makes no sense. New price target for this is now $1 if we are lucky they say!!
Actually worse for those owned for the three months ended if they have to pay income tax (gains) in net of those 3 months from schedule K... but most likely it'll be a loss since no distribution (in other words if their was a net gain there should've been a distribution, but maybe it was too small).
Now any current owner loses because the drop in share price will be more than 28 pct that even if it paid that much next qtr couldn't make up for it... lol
I thought this was expected... so its probably hedge funds trying to force panic selling.
So your saying we are short 28%?
Nope, that's not the way partnerships work. While you bought in on the partnership via your brokerage account you actually became a partner in the firm. You get a schedule K showing all the profit by month you have to add to your income (or loss for write down) then you get the distribution (dividend) that needs to cover your tax bracket level on the schedule K or you have just lost money (for example, your tax bracket 28% and each month you had partner income but quarterly dividend was only 20% - you now lost 8% off of break-even on the schedule K income that was covered by the dividend - and 28% your income tax rate on the remainder of schedule K income that wasn't covered by dividend on partnership).
You need a regular company (corporate or incorporated) that pays a dividend that you own shares of the company in for your type of dividend think... these limited partnerships are different you bare the corporate income tax as your personal income tax for your portion.
Should Pps go north from not paying dividends not paying is the right thing to do.
Extremely undervalued. Great buy
On the recent news. Stifel downgrades EMES to Sell with an $8 price target and sharply reduces earnings estimates, noting this is the third time management has revised 2015 guidance.
Also pointing out looming debt covenant issues, Baird cuts EMES to Underperform with a $7 target and expects weakness in other proppant producers, including CRR, FMSA, HCLP and SLCA (Briefing.com).
Emerge Energy Services (NYSE:EMES) -16.9% premarket after withdrawing its 2015 distribution guidance of $2.50-$3.00/unit due to difficult market conditions in its sand and fuels segments from pressure on oil and natural gas prices. with no expectation for further guidance this year.
May make for an interesting value proposition as it drops further with crude prices.
And down she goes...
Goldman sees an upturn for frac sand provider Emerge Energy (NYSE:EMES), upgrading shares to Buy from Neutral.

Did well yesterday with oil lower
What's up with emes today!! It's like the only energy ticker down today..
Another chance to buy this stock cheap. Now it's starting to rebound. Fracking is not going away. This bad boy will move back to 90. Glad to get back in under $50.
The share price has been on a tear during the last two weeks.

Next week will me trying to touch $70, even @ $70 its still under half the price from its 52 week high 145.71
Should be trading around $90
http://www.4-traders.com/EMERGE-ENERGY-SERVICES-LP-13170412/consensus/
Might get there today-)
Ive spent the last year half watching HCLP and EMES daily charts, i know them.
$60 coming soon
Nice buy, Hicrush.
You seem to have a good handle on this sector of the oil business.
Trueheart
Started chasing it yesterday when it held its price, bought 100 shares @ 54
Hicrush
Could be that the share price is holding up well because of the other side of EMES' operations: The transmix distillation and distribution end.
I'm keeping an eye on this baby for the ride back up.
Trueheart
Im surprised its not flat like the others
Congrats. Nice gain.
Oil is resuming its price decline.
Trueheart
sold @ 52.80 today :)
$4 gain !
I'm rooting for you!
Trueheart
yup its already sold before its out of the ground, i wouldn't be surprised to see $60 this week GO EMES!
Hicrush
Most of the sand suppliers are doing well today. Is that a harbinger of the end of the oil price drop or perhaps are the companies making money on committed fixed-price contracts?
Trueheart
Hey, Hicrush.
I think the continued slide in the price of crude is not going to be as dramatic as it has been. Some of the blame (besides the glut of shale oil) has fallen on the so-called slowing economies of the world.
My thinking is if that's so they have a bottom in total usage as people still have to get to work and heat homes and power needs to be generated. So, I think there's a floor that's not far away.
How 'bout you?
Trueheart
How low do you think oil will get to?
Nice gain today. I'm watching as I think it will fall again to the tune of the price of oil.
Trueheart
Dropped more over the week then SLCA and HCLP so had to be up a little on Friday
Been week trading these three for the past 18 months, haven't traded them in awhile with OPEC and gas under $60. But I took a small position in HCLP and EMES on Margin this week solely on the fact that I think its way oversold, SLCA Margin % is higher then EMES & HCLP (25%) funny sense it has a larger Market Cap
The sand is already sold before they pull it out of the ground #Contracts. Oil companies are tripping over each other to get White Silica Mono-crystalline Northern Wisconsin Sand. Plus the Transmix plants
I really like Hi-Crush
hicrush
It's interesting that SLCA went south and EMES had a nice upward ride today.
