EVS to Receive Grant From the Israeli Government for Marketing Its Products in China
CAESAREA, Israel, Dec. 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Elbit Vision Systems Ltd. (EVSNF), a pioneer in the science of camera-based automatic vision inspection for textile fabrics and technical webs, announced today that it has received a special Government grant from the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Israel to support its marketing efforts in China.
A special budget of $0.68 million was approved by the ministry, half of which will be received as a grant from the Government over 3 years. EVS will pay 3% of the growth in its sales in China (compared with 2015 sales level) as a repayment of the loan every year, until the loan has been fully repaid.

Elbit Vision Systems Ltd. EVSNF, -1.89% a pioneer in the science of camera-based automatic vision inspection for textile fabrics and technical webs, announced today that it received orders totaling $1.3 million following the successful ITMA trade show in Milan. The orders included a signed contract for 50 iBar systems for one US-based customer, which is scheduled for delivery in the early part of 2016.

Gross profit for the quarter was $1.75 million, representing 60.3% of revenues, an increase of 83% compared to $956 thousand for the third quarter of 2014, which represented 54.7% of revenues.
Operating income for the quarter was $915 thousand million (31.5% of revenue), an increase of 247% compared to $264 thousand (15.1% of revenues) in the third quarter of 2014.
Net income was $929 thousand (31.9% of revenue), an increase of 200% compared to $310 thousand (17.7% of revenues) in the third quarter of 2014.

Prior to EVS, he served as Sales Director in TaKaDu and was responsible for their first agreements in Europe. Yeah not sure why someone would give away their shares below .15 when they easily could have sold over .20 after the strong Q2 report this month. EVSNF a steal at these levels imo. I mean the stock is attractive just based on the good Q2 results. Earnings of .006/share vs. breakeven on a 22% increase in sales. But then look at the guidance. Yowsa! They're expecting revenues in Q3 & Q4 to average over $3M. Revenues were just under $2M in Q2! Earnings in those quarters should average .008+/share. This stock is headed to the .30's or .40's if they come close to that extremely bullish guidance.

Second Quarter 2015 Results
Revenues for the quarter were $1.92 million, representing an increase of 22% compared to $1.57 million in the second quarter of 2014.
Gross profit for the quarter was $1.12 million, representing 58.5% of revenues, an increase of 40% compared to $800 thousand for the second quarter of 2014, which represented 50.9% of revenues.
Operating income for the quarter was $502 thousand (26.1% of revenue), an increase of 115% compared to $234 thousand (14.9% of revenues) in the second quarter of 2014.
Net income was $493 thousand (25.7% of revenue), compared to $16 thousand (1% of revenues) in the second quarter of 2014.

First Quarter 2015 Results
Revenues for the quarter were $1.95 million, representing an increase of 46% compared to $1.34 million in the first quarter of 2014.
Gross profit for the quarter was $1.12 million, representing 58% of revenues, an increase of 74% compared to $646 thousand for the first quarter of 2014, which represented 48% of revenues.
Operating income for the quarter was $457 thousand, an increase of 203% compared to $151 thousand in the first quarter of 2014.
Net income was $363 thousand, an increase of 107% compared to $175 thousand in the first quarter of 2014.
