Melissa K. Rice has an extensive background in business and is also licensed to practice law in the state of Florida. Melissa graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Tampa. She received her degree in law from Stetson Law School and later received her Masters of Business Administration from Stetson University. Prior to her appointment to the position of CEO of DRG she was a practicing attorney specializing in securities regulations and corporate transactions, assisting emerging companies in debt and equity financing, as well as providing general corporate advice.

Melissa also has a background in marketing and is an innovative problem solver. With experience as an entrepreneur, she understands what growing companies need and how to take companies public. She has arranged corporate financing platforms, positioned companies for sale or mergers and acquisitions and as a business owner of several boutique enterprises, has successfully brought companies from concept to market and finally profitability. It is this unusual blend of business acumen and education that defines Melissa as an emerging executive and establishes her qualifications as CEO of DRG, Inc.

I joined the team of this vibrant company in 2007, and it’s been an amazing journey. It’s an empowering thing to offer products that that people want…and need. Our products remain incredibly popular, leading to a nearly 65% increase in gross revenue in 2007, and a nearly 100% increase in 2008.

Now, in the middle of 2009, we are thrilled that our top-selling product, Riddex Plus, has surpassed the $40 million sales milestone, and the rest of the summer looks to bring continued demand. This amazing product gets rid of mice, rats, and roaches without the use of chemicals – which solves a big problem for consumers who want to rid themselves of pests yet keep their homes chemical-free.

In any climate, $40 million in sales is significant, let alone it happening in these difficult economic times, and I think it speaks volumes in terms of DRG having its finger on the pulse of what consumers are looking for.
