This thing is bouncing through my stop pre-market so I think I am going to take the stop off and let it ride. I don't want to get stopped out during amature half hour and then have it run.

Hope you got to sell PM @ 3.6 -3.8. I held and doubled down at 2.87
This thing simply tracks oil, which opened high and then tanked all day.
Thought it would more generally track the Russian index, but watching it, it follows nearly every tick of USO.
This will rock when oil bottoms out sometime this year.
In the meantime, buy low, sell high!

Proceed with caution on RUSL and use stop losses if possible. We got our technical bounce off of extreme oversold conditions but fundamentals for Russia are still UGLY.

Russia is imploding now. If interest rates stay up at 17% or even rise more, then there is going to be a severe recession in Russia. But, RSX / RUSL are both up after hours. Go figure. I guess the market likes the bold action, but it's not going to be good for the Russian economy for 2015.

The rs will take it back up 6 to 1 nothing else will with crude falling. After the rs it will do the magical Dixerion dump and lose 20-30% in the first week post split. russ is up 35% today as crude continues to crash taking Russia with it.

I'm still on sidelines, and almost entered recently this week.
I think we finally are near a bottom for short term rebound trade.
Maybe a little more weakness next week, but I think we're very close in 3.60's.
A pop back up to 4.50-5.50 should be attainable for a trade I think.

Crazy that RUSL was $31.10 a year ago.

Plenty of gaps to fill and if it does reverse we could see a bounce back to the 8.60 range (or 51.60 post split).

Agreed. Russia's Central Bank would need to raise interest rates another 300 basis points to 13.5% in order to curb inflation but that won't happen anytime soon.

There will be a play here at some point though as the daily/weekly RSI won't hold below 20 forever. The market could interpret recent agreements with India over oil, nuclear power and weapons manufacturing as positive.

I'm up to a half position and new average at 3.86, betting on RUSS profit takers and short covering on RUSL before the close.
