BIG news today guys! Interactive E-Book Introduces World's First Instant Collaboration
WeJIT Connects Readers and Authors Inside the eBook
SANTA ROSA, Calif., Aug. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Democrasoft, Inc. (OTC: Pinksheets: DEMO) and VOOK ePublishing in San Francisco, today announced the arrival of the world's first two-way interactive e-book, which features a new technology that allows real-time author and reader-to-reader dialog and collaboration from inside an e-book.
The newly-released book grabbing all the attention, 11 Days in May, published by Waterfront Press, will offer readers the opportunity to communicate directly with both author JD Messinger, and also with other readers, from right inside the e-book. This groundbreaking discussion capability is made possible by a new cloud-based collaboration technology developed by Democrasoft, which links any reader with a book's author, other readers or any other person with access to the Internet. The new technology is called "WeJIT," and it promises to forever change the way authors, their books and their readers come together.
According to Democrasoft Chairman & CEO Richard Lang, WeJIT is a new approach to collaboration that allows instant communities to form around any topic of common interest. With a few clicks, an individual WeJIT is formed by any individual wanting to enable an instant, collaborative community. In essence, the WeJIT is a one-page website, with a unique URL, dedicated to a particular topic of discussion, debate or even decision-making, in a multitude of engagement models. It can be formed in a matter of seconds, free of charge for individual use (www.MyWeJIT.com). In the case of 11 Days in May, author JD Messinger has created and embedded 32 WeJITs inside his new e-book, on an assortment of topics covered in the book.
"This is an amazing way for me to communicate with my readers, while they're actually reading the book," said Messinger. "It creates the opportunity for readers to have vibrant dialog and exchanges on the multiple ideas contained inside the book. In a way, it creates an instant book club around any subject that readers care to participate in and to involve others in."
William Gladstone, founder and CEO of Waterfront Press, the publisher of both the e-book and printed editions of 11 Days in May, also points out that readers of the new e-book can actually forward the URL for any embedded WeJIT to anyone, even those who don't have the book and may have never heard of it.
"What's amazing is that readers are actually poised to increase book sales by inviting others to join in specific discussions launched from within the e-book," said Gladstone. "That's a first in the publishing world and when you combine it with the other interactive features offered on the VOOK epublishing platform, we think you're looking at a watershed event for authors and publishers around the world."
Matthew Cavnar, VP of Business Development at Vook, said that the Vook ePublishing platform combined with the WeJit capabilities perfectly compliment the interactive features already embedded within 11 Days in May. These other features include images and videos; specially composed music; Messinger's CNN radio interviews with famous guests, and original artwork.
"The combination of VOOK's publishing platform and Democrasoft's WeJIT capabilities is something that we believe is going to completely redefine e-book publishing," said Cavnar. "We are very excited about the possibilities going forward and believe that this combination is about to take what was already a terrific e-book and turn it into a real game-changer."
Lang says that the inclusion of WeJIT capability in e-books, beginning with 11 Days in May, is evidence of one of the core advantages that WeJITs bring to online collaboration: "portability." He points to the fact that every self-contained WeJIT discussion or collaboration is associated with a unique URL (web address), which can then be shared with anyone, using existing social networking platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, to name a few. He said that in future e-books, readers themselves would be able to instantly create and share WeJITs around any topic they are reading about in an e-book.
"WeJIT is not a competing social network," said Lang. "Instead, WeJIT is a way to enable an instant community to form around any individual topic, comprised only of people with an interest in that particular topic. There's no need to join, manage or moderate yet another platform. WeJIT is to collaboration what Google is to search."
Lang said that anyone wanting to create their own WeJIT to instantly engage any group, large or small, on any topic, can do so by visiting: www.MyWeJIT.com and creating a WeJIT for free. According to Lang, the WeJIT platform is available to larger groups and organization under a variety of licensing arrangements, including white-label.
11 Days in May is available for hardcover pre-release at www.Amazon.com and www.BarnesAndNoble.com. The e-book is available now from Vook at http://vook.com/storefronts/book/11-days-in-may.html.

Does this stock still trade ? or has someone finally put it out of it's miserable existance ?
Yawn zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Stiil waiting for that demand from all the stealth buyers to rocket this stock higher. ;)
yeah, right.. lol
Good to be seen ;)
I'm just looking at this skeleton called DEMO. As for "quiet periods", it looks like this one has been a mute for quite some time. I thought you said buyers were now coming in a few months ago ? These guys must be so sneaky their buys don't even show up as volume. lol
I kept some shares, just in case there's a Shareholder's suit.
Who knows, if you guys can pump this carcus high enough for me to break even, I might even sell. But that's a long long way from here; for me and so many other former Shareholders left holding practically worthless stock.
Hope you are well and enjoying the change of seasons. :)
I've always hated dogs,
Kitty, meow.........................................
i'm still long and awaiting the next moves... all stocks go through quiet periods
volume should return once this play is 'discovered' imo
good to see you kitty... was wondering where you had gone
Notice that the Volume is virtually ZERO for weeks with what is basically an artifical Bid/Ask price.
Naturally, when the company news pump ended and the message board scammers disappeared, the transparency of what a joke this company's investment appeal is can be seen.
Oh well, I'm sure more news pumps are planned, and we'll most likely see the return of the company defenders and "investment" promoters.
lol

Democrasoft Announces Three Collaborize Classroom Milestones

Democrasoft (PL) (USOTC:DEMO)
Intraday Stock Chart
Today : Wednesday 31 August 2011
Democrasoft, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: DEMO) today announced three milestone developments related to Collaborize Classroom™, the company's flagship web-based education platform. Democrasoft announced (1) the official launch of the revolutionary Collaborize Classroom Topic Library™; (2) that over 10,000 teachers worldwide have launched their own Collaborize Classroom sites and (3) a newly redesigned Collaborize Classroom website (http://CollaborizeClassroom.com).
Today marks the official launch of Democrasoft's Collaborize Classroom Topic Library, a free community resource that enables teachers to take the best individual topic-based lessons that they create and share them with other teachers around the world. All teachers using Collaborize Classroom will now gain access to topics that have already proven successful for other teachers utilizing the free Collaborize Classroom online learning platform. The click-and-go curriculum functionality makes it possible for teachers to easily populate their own Collaborize Classroom sites in a matter of minutes, with individual discussion topics and lessons from the global Topic Library, on almost any subject and for any grade level, at no cost. Teachers can also share the discussion topics that they create with other teachers on the Collaborize Classroom network, providing the foundation for a 24 x 7 global repository of peer-reviewed topic-based lessons.
According to Democrasoft Chairman & CEO Richard Lang, "We believe that the introduction of our groundbreaking Topic Library has the potential to revolutionize how education is delivered around the world, and, while the library is already well-stocked, we look forward to an exponentially increasing number of topic-based lessons becoming available to educators everywhere, as teachers continue to share their most successful work."
Collaborize Classroom also announced the achievement of another key milestone goal this week: more 10,000 teachers worldwide have now launched their own Collaborize Classroom sites. The number of sites launched by teachers has been growing by at least 34% per month since January of this year, except for June and July, when the adoption rate increased by 60% in those months.
"We are extremely gratified to see the adoption of Collaborize Classroom continue to climb," said Lang. "We have gone from nine teachers using our free online learning platform last October to over 10,000 today, and we expect today's launch of our global Topic Library to further enhance our adoption rate in the coming months and beyond."
Democrasoft also announced that the company's central Collaborize Classroom website has been redesigned and now contains new features to further help teachers engage their students in the learning process. CollaborizeClassroom.com features new sections containing (1) free teacher resources, (2) professional development materials, and (3) on-demand webinars.
Collaborize Classroom has emerged as a preferred choice in education technology because of its simple and engaging design, its ease of use, the "fun factor" reported by students, and its ability to embed documents, video and other multimedia directly into online discussion topics. The free, collaborative online learning platform also provides teachers with student participation reports, and teachers using the system have found the quantified results of online student discussions very helpful. In fact, last week, the company received the following unsolicited thank-you note from a teacher in New Jersey, even before the official introduction of the Topic Library: "Beginning my 20th year next week and this ol' dog is so psyched about this site and the possibilities! Thanks for such an amazing new strategy for my teacher toolbox."
For more information on Collaborize Classroom, the new Topic Library, to arrange for a demonstration or to schedule an interview with Democrasoft senior management, please contact Shana Ray, Digital Media & PR Manager at: shana@collaborizeclassroom.com or call 888-993-8683 x 706.

Democrasoft Enters Into Agreement With Major Corporation
Today : Monday 1 August 2011
Democrasoft, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: DEMO) today announced that it has executed an agreement with one of America's largest and best-known corporations to participate in a special joint project involving the Collaborize Classroom™ online learning platform (http://collaborizeclassroom.com), Democrasoft's flagship product. Under the terms of the agreement, Democrasoft® is not able to disclose the name of the other party. In addition, Democrasoft has agreed to prioritize the development of certain aspects of its technology with a view to accelerating the deployment of various new features that Democrasoft has recently developed.
While there can be no assurance that this agreement will lead to any continued relationship, this agreement represents the first significant revenue event for Democrasoft related to its Collaborize Classroom blended-learning platform. Under the terms of the agreement, the other corporation will make a payment in the low six figures in the current quarter and another equal payment at the completion of the project.
"We are extremely gratified that one of America's household names has expressed this level of interest in how our web-based platform can potentially create a significant opportunity for both parties in the education arena," said Richard Lang, Chairman and CEO of Democrasoft. "While nothing is guaranteed, this relationship, if continued, could go a long way toward achieving our long-range goal of extending the reach of Collaborize Classroom around the world," Lang added.
In an unrelated development, Democrasoft announced that, since its last update on July 5th, the number of Collaborize Classroom sites launched by teachers has now topped 8,300. The monthly growth rate for launched sites has averaged 34% since January; in June the growth rate exceeded 60%, even though school was out of session most of the month in most areas.

When a "small" person like you starts investing CD amounts in each of their stocks instead of the lunch money levels you currently do, than perhaps you'll develop a little emotion to the impact of a company's failed management on your investment dollars.
Keep up the good work.
Kitty
Ok go sulk some more now lol
well, that's your choice, as it is a readers choice to fully question your credibility and neutrality; especially now.
Keep up the promotion, I could use the pump to sell my shares out.
How do they find you guys ? Is there an open network or is it more underground than that ?
kitty, i don't feel comfortable disclosing that.. sorry .. my avg is .158 fwiw
"Bitter" ? That's fine, but I prefer the word "angry, from being what I feel was being mislead by management.
OK, so how many shares do you own here ? Apparently not enough in dollars so that it's worth anything more than indifference at an emotional level. That likely explains your cavalier attitude.
I sort of laugh when I read that investors should be completely non emotional. When you work hard to build your investing capital, that necessary sweat represent lots of different components. You owe a duty to your money, and all difficult duties, including fiduciary ones, imo should envolve emotion; because it's then that you are trying to do your utmost to achieve the desired result.
So, how many shares ? honestly.
Kitty
i understand you are bitter, but can i ask.. do you trade successfully? do u trade for a living? how long have you been trading?
imo, you have WAY too much emotion in this. investing and trading is about calculated risk.. there should be NO emotion in it
i'm pretty much talking to myself on this board ...except of course when i'm graced with your company :)
i have no hidden agenda... i'm pretty much just posting news, observation and commentary.
you wouldn't even believe how many shares i own and even though i think this is going to go up.. i still have to keep a balanced portfolio.. i have over 100 positions as you should never put too many eggs in one basket.
hopefully you can get back on your feet and invest in some winning positions
good luck to you my friend
"i have enough shares and have no need for more"
Yes, of course you do; lol.. but yet you suggest to others that the price will rise and that quiet accumulation is occuring.
Ah yes.. these boards are full of such advisors who "have enough shares already"
How much did I lose the first time around ? Lots, and management left Shareholders out to dry. I don't believe these folks can be trusted, not one bit.
Clear enough for you ? Unlike others who post here, I have no hidden agenda.
Kitty
i have enough shares and have no need for more.. thanks for your concern though
so kitty, speaking of retoric(sp) .. how much did you LOSE on your first investment here?
"..only 1 mm left (showing) under .35 "
If you believe that is factual, why not buy what inventory they have, certainly can't be much with the price potential you apparently expect. Then the rest of your shares will benefit by whatever you think is "about to get interesting"
How about it ? Back up you retoric.
Oh yeah, another zero volume day with 1 hour to go.
kitty
mm CANT been eating shares at the bid lately.. only 1 mm left (showing) under .35
might be about to get interesting here
seems to be getting quietly accumulated lately
if you think this is a "pump". then you have yet to see a pump.
uhhh there is NO promotion here haha. have you seen volume here? an alert? no one on ihub even knows of their social platforms or their old-current patent rights.
lol.. yeah.
Boy, I love these various Board Moderators jumping into the fray and showing interest in stocks and managements they admittedly know very little about.
Just more grist for the promotion mill.
Kitty
