Not me i think it will be late again.
I think it was the management change but we will see tomorrow.

Wonder if we will have the delay in our DIVI like we had last month or was that only due to the management change due to the losses CREDIT SUISE has had.

Thanks for the information I appreciate it. I have basically just been avg them down so I can get rid of them without much a loss(without adding back in my div payments)
That is true to a degree. But my assets are always based in long term and dividends are what I seek and get. I think old Warren did pretty well for himself with divs as I have, for a long established successful many years now
There are certainly gimmicky stocks that pop up offering high divs that usually fold. But I know the signs and which ones to select. I don’t go deep on ones that are little sketch. But I will be glad to trade them and get in out and still collect MASS cash on both monthly and quarterlies.
There is a decent chance that the next divvy could be less than it is now. USOI is near or at bottom now. Should start its next upswing as winter approaches.
Those in high tax brackets prefer LT capital_gains over dividends. That's why Berkshire Hathaway holders, when polled, consistently tell Buffett they don't want dividends.
Besides, many ultra high div stocks are gimmicks that collapse in weak markets.
But where can anyone go for amazing divs? I’m not crying - I’m buying. The overall decline doesn’t matter to me bc ive been buying after it bottomed since last year. I’d imagine if anyone bought higher year + ago would be concerned. Not me, LOL.
How has it done in the last 1 and 2 years.
This shows USOI's Total Return of -38% for three years and --33% for five years. Those are negative returns. Total Return figures in the dividends. Note the fabulous total return of the S&P 500 over those periods.

Take a look at their track record of the divi's
I wait until the price drops and then buy more shares with the dividends. I used to DRIP them, but that means you're paying more for the shares.

That is a tough question, buying, selling and holding all depend on the market direction.
If in my opinion USOI is overpriced then a sell off is in order and waiting for it to drop to buy back in to own more shares can be a risk worth taking.
Holding is always a risk too as the PPS can drop leaving you no option but to hold.
I know this is not an answer to your question but it gives you a bit more info as to ways to play DIVI stocks.

I have been building my portfolio with dividends for over a year now. I mostly just buy and hold and allow DRIP to reinvest the divs into more shares. My question is do you guys usually buy and hold the shares or are you just getting in on ex date and then selling your shares after? Thanks in advance.
Think about this in the last year USOI has paid out 1.7311 in divis
They are now starting to drill new wells in the gulf. They wont have any affect on prices for another year. the price of oil will go back up between now and then.
If you use TD Ameritrade, click on the symbol then choose the calendar, they post the Divi info there and seem to be very punctual.
Dude you're soooo awesome. It was great to see you again on Friday. Thank you so much for the support. Again, another good Friday. I think you may be my good luck charm lol. I hope you had a great weekend ;). Sorry I got so busy right after you showed up. I can't believe how many Old Fashions I kept making. Glad your sister-in-law enjoyed hers

Yes I did that as well, it is a nice record of the past DIVI payments.
Was hoping that it would rise instead of the drop it did, but CRUDE OIL has dropped and the DIVI should follow,

You can go back through the years and see when all the announcements were made, and how much the dividends have been. I often browse through previous years...

I went to that site earlier and it for whatever reason did not come up, it maybe due to my weak internet link as I am upnorth and it took a while to upload, I see it now and you are correct.

It is posted on Credit Suisse's site under press releases, August, as it always is.
shotsky
Is this your guess? The DIVI has not been announced as of today.

Thanx for the link...
It's always press released at Credit Suisse.
Credit Suisse PR's
May be more downside. Speculators are clear with direction down for now
I picked up a few more at 4.55 this morning
Cool - Good to have more than one source in the back pocket
Where did you find that already?
From the look of things they seem to do better on the downfall.
We should find out tomorrow.
thanx - not much of a surprise...I assume you have a different source than ihub.
The divvy number will be very interesting.

"(Bloomberg) -- Credit Suisse Group AG’s outlook was downgraded to negative from stable by S&P Global Ratings after the Swiss bank named a new chief executive officer in an attempt to recover from a a period of scandal, turmoil and huge losses."
“We see increasing risks to the stability of the bank’s franchise, uncertainty around the reshuffling of top executives, and a lack of a clear strategy, and we think the group’s risk-adjusted and absolute profitability is likely to remain weak over the medium term,” S&P said Monday in a statement.
Credit Suisse posted a larger-than-expected 1.59 billion-franc ($1.65 billion) loss for the second quarter. It announced last week that asset-management chief Ulrich Koerner, 59, would replace Thomas Gottstein as CEO, charged with leading a turnaround effort." [ more ]

Good to hear..I'm still looking for a place to stay up there..My wife of 41 years just passed in March so it would just be myself..
Wish i could join in but it's a little of a streach for me to make that run for a evening meal.
TGOO
My group of 4 my wife and her 2 sisters and I went and met tknuncle at The Lodge on Buffalo Lake. The FISH FRY was a very good meal.
The ladies had the Cod and I had the Perch dinner, it comes with a salad bar, the soup was a creamy potato which I had and it was great.
As this is a start up for him it still needs work but still worth the effort to come see and eat at.
We are planning on coming back on a Sat. for the Mexican food and to meet his wife.
Hope to meet you there as well, just let me know when you are going to be there so I can try to make it to meet you as well.
Tknuncle and I talked at the bar after my meal on DIVI stocks in general and I gave him other DIVI stocks to look at.

It has been close today. I would like to see it close over 5
May kiss 5s today. Money seems to be flowing back into the markets in general a bit and Oil prices remain high so the pendulum may be swinging back in our favor...
