Final Thoughts:
The CFDTD Fund’s performance during the month of August 2005 was
quite satisfactory. Last month, the Fund again outperformed the S&P 500
by a pretty decent margin: 3.08% versus an actual decline of (1.12%) for the
Fund’s benchmark! And on a year-to-date basis, the Fund is outperforming
its benchmark by a very hefty 41 to 1 margin: 28.61% vs.0.69% for the S&P!
But in spite of the Fund’s relatively good performance to date, my year-end
target of triple digit gain is looking quite daunting…
However, I am still hopeful…
Cheers!

>>Why a $0.033 stock? Minimum I thought was a few dollars per general guidelines for this message board/fund?<<
The piece that you quoted from the header of this thread says: the stock should, at the most, trade for around a couple of dollars.
The parameter for an initial purchase for this Fund is simply that the stock should, at the most, be trading in the 2 dollar range, or, in other words, be less than $3. There is no limitation on the low end. The Fund currently owns INSQ, which trades for less than a penny, and the Fund's biggest holding, MOBL, was initially purchased for around 3¢, and it closed today at approximately 29¢! And then on the high end, the Fund is invested in stocks like BIPH and BSIC, which closed today's trading session at $2.44 and $2.35 respectively.
The idea behind this Fund was simply to disprove the notion that investing in microcaps is inherently risky. I strongly believe that if one is prudent, microcap investments can be very rewarding, because these stocks tend to make very big percentage gains. Unfortunately, the inverse is just as true, 'cause they make equally as big percentage losses! The trick of course is to find companies which are being run by very competent management. And if one is successful in finding that right combination of very able management running a company whose stock trades for a couple of dollars or less, then to me that is the equivalent of attaining investment nirvana!
And that is my quest here on this thread...
Cheers!

Hello David,
No, I had never heard of this company...Thanks for bringing it
to my attention...
A cursory look at its chart tells me that it is over-bought and
its price will need to come down first, then consolidate for a
few weeks before it will be ready to make its next move up
towards the 15 cents level. Of course, all of the above
scenario can change in a minute if they announce some major
news...
Please do keep me informed of any interesting deveopments with
this promising company...

Contax,
Have you ever lookied into (or even heard about) EGLF.OB?
Like a million other golf club manufacturers, EGLF claims to have the newest and greatest. In this case, they may be right.
Check out their webite: www.e21golf.com
Some pretty impressive testamonials from "real" people (I've googled enough to satisfy my curiosity).
They're expensive clubs relative to the rest of the market, but seem to have validated their claim of being longer, straighter, and even "healthier," (i.e. less strain on the arms and wrists). That's 3 for 3 in the "what matters about a golf club" department.
As of 3/31/05 (last filed report), they had no cash, and they've pretty much used up their 100M authorized shares. I don't know from where they're gettng their money (initially has come from owners but they're hiring new people + manufacturing equipment now); new 10Q should be revealing.
Anyway, just a thought. Take a look if you get a chance. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts. They seem to have put their marketing campaign into full throttle (considering all things).
Take care,
David
