Sold CNO at 3.81 earlier this morning eom
4 shizzle ... ride this b!tch out to $5 with the rest of us. : )
Bought back CNO at the close @ $3.61
No guts,no glory!
This Action Is Great, Chart Needs Resetting, It's All Good!
Looks like some panic selling ... investors have sold off almost 100,000 shares in the last 10 minutes.
Up to 3.81 in after hours. Tomorrow should be great. The chart looks great. MFI crossed over 80 end of day and the MACD is crossing the trend line on the weekly. I wouldn't be surprised to see $5+ tomorrow...GLTA
It`s going to be a high volume trading the next two days,Do not use stop losses now,a bear raid is on the deck. Pure greed will keep me holding until the CC is over.
we are going to have some fun here this week, imo.
There are so many crappy companies trading much higher than what their worth. CNO is cleaning up the company and within a short time will prove they are worth triple what it's at today....GLTY
Well here is to wishful thinking :)
I hear what your saying. The market is an animal with its own mind. Taming is almost impossible. With that said I think CNO could easily trade as high
The chart is getting more and more bullish. The MFI is about to cross 80 and the MACD could cross over on the weekly chart this week. I don't see any reason for this to be under $6...IMO!!>> GLTY
CNO should break $3.90 this week!
Need to get through previous high of 3.9!!
Looks like it held to me. What's our next stop?
Here comes the end of day drag down...damn someone wants to keep this thing down.
Couldnt agree w/ you more!
The idea that we're still under $5 is absolutely f'n rediculous. I think with a little surprise Tuesday, the possibility of breaking $5 is very real.
Lol, sounds good. Lets make some money and move this sucker on up to $4 before earnings.
i'll be hanging around trying to get a good flip.
It's Friday, Solid Play imo
Solid bottom forming around $2.95. I'm not expecting a pull-back of more than .20, if at all. This is a hold here.
I flipped out, I dont like the doji its making on the daily chart, I think its going to pull back a bit, catch its breath.
How's It Going So Far?
I agree, its going to be a great day today!
Going to be another great day...
...the close yesterday was all I needed to see. No one was willing to sell at 2.91 and those who were got met with eager buyers. Tremendous support here with tons of room to move north.
This security is very undervalued and is just getting started. Look at the volume over the past 2 trading days and the price range that trading took place in. It'll give you a warm and fuzzy feeling that it's ok to add here.
This might be the strongest base support CNO has ever had, putting in a very strong bottom.
Buy with confidence. She's going to soar.
ive been adding today.
Sold too soon, $4 is coming by the time they report ... then on to $6.
I have sold for 2.75.....now I will wait how big impact the article in reuters will have

Price/Book (mrq): 0.22
that means 400-500% from here to reach book value from last quarter.
Now the balance sheet may look even stronger........
in short term we can expect 220-250% increase from here....
Sweet....

Conseco on a TEAR!!!
Conseco, Inc. CNO today announced preliminary results for second quarter of 2009.
"Conseco, on a preliminary basis, and consistent with its first quarter performance, expects to report continued profitability in the second quarter," CEO Jim Prieur said. "Also consistent with our expectations was an increase in second quarter earnings over the seasonally weak first quarter by our Bankers Life business, which also had a 6 percent increase over 2008 in core sales for the quarter," Prieur said, adding that, "we are issuing preliminary results in an effort to provide timely information to the investment community."
I just bought in today at $1.90, not even expecting any kind of preliminary earnings statement.
What are some thoughts on getting out now? Certainly a 30-40 cent increase per share is even nice, but if it's likely to approach the $3 range in the near future I'll hold on.
Sweet ... knew that 1.85 Bottom was gonna hold. Great 2nd Q Conseco!
Conseco late Tuesday said it expects to report second-quarter net income of $15.8 million to $27.8 million, improving from a net loss of $488.5 million a year earlier. On a per-share basis, the company sees a profit of 9 cents to 15 cents, including 7 cents to 13 cents a share in net realized investment losses. In the same period in 2008, the company posted a net loss of $2.65 a share, the insurer said. Conseco also forecast net operating income of 22 cents a share in the quarter, up 69% from 13 cents a share in the same quarter last year.

:)
Good news!!!!!!!!!!
I have added today some more.....I am very positive about their earnings....black numbers will multiply the PPS by two...in a week or so then....
Yep, I feel like this is a great base price to buy in. This stock sees explosive moves north.
There are many around who think the same way....
CNO will make it...Most probably even before Q2 earnings I guess.....very tempting price now. Soon everything under 3.00 will be tempting :)
I think the CNO train....
...is gearing up for a rumble back to the 3's.
i've learned not to be surprised by anything. anything can and will happen. just expect it and set yourself up to take advantage of insanity by superimposing reality on top of it all.
I'm really surprised to see this under $5 still. B/S imo
i'm in the business of picking up more lately..
was cutting out at $3, but anything below $2 is free to me.
