Rare Earth Elements, Niobium
and Tantalum in Canada
Lean and Mean: A Fighting Machine
Today, Commerce Resources Corp.
announced
plans to complete a
consolidation of its issued and
outstanding common shares on
the basis of 1 new share for every
10 currently outstanding shares,
therefore reducing the number of
outstanding shares from 310,496,558
to approximately 31,049,655.
Commerce Resources believes that this
share consolidation will both enhance
the marketability of the company as
an investment and better position the
company to raise the funds necessary
to execute its business plan. The share
consolidation is subject to approval by
the TSX Venture Exchange.
I am confident that this consolidation
should put Commerce Resources into
the most attractive spot for a REE (Rare
Earth Element) junior with a tight capital
structure that will be highly financeable
for anyone (private, institutional, and
strategic investors along with bankers)
looking to position themselves in this
vital commodity space that appears on
the cusp of a new bull market.
The current threat from China that
they may halt shipments of REEs to the
United States has brought significant
focus to the fundamental realities of the
REE sector – continued increased global
demand against “issues” on the supply
side.
“The heavy dependency on foreign
supply chains results in vulnerabilities
of relevant American industries,“ Chen
Zhanheng, an analyst at Association
of China Rare Earth Industry,
told the
Global Times last week.
“The US is under
pressure from a lack of rare-earth supplies
after it started the trade war with China.
Now the US is hoisted with its own
petard as China indicated that it will keep
its options open for using rare earths
as a weapon... The US fears that China
will limit rare-earth exports, which will
result in a huge loss for manufacturing
industries in the US as its supply chain
may be disrupted,“ said Chen.
Solution: New REE supply from the
North American continent. To the rescue
Commerce Resources and its counter-
striking Ashram REE “weapon“!

The Global Times concluded in last
week‘s article:
“The US is concerned about rare-earth
supplies. US President Donald Trump
has determined to make up for the
shortfall in the production of rare-
earth permanent magnets, pursuant to
the Defense Production Act of 1950s, a
US law that was once used to protect
its steelmaking capacity, according to
a memorandum issued by the White
House on Monday. The Pentagon on
July 15 sought a quick response about
rare-earth output in the US from
domestics miners and refiners before
July 31, Reuters reported.“
Whether or not China actually halts
shipments of REEs to the United States
is less important than the actual threat
that has been made, because this has
finally motivated the Americans to
do something about this distressing
vulnerability they have to China.
And this brings us to the exciting
times we are in today – along with the
exciting possibility that Commerce
Resources and its Ashram REE
Deposit will rise to the top of the REE
junior field like the sweet cream it
is – arguably the REE project that can
compete with the best REE producers
globally, past and present.
The other sea change factor to
consider is that China has become
a net importer of REEs (and also of
fluorspar, which the Ashram Deposit
hosts in great quantities along with
REEs). This simply means that anyone
outside of China is now in direct
competition with the Chinese for new
sources of these critical commodities.
Highly Competitive
Fundamentally, the Ashram REE
Deposit in Québec, Canada, compares
favorably to the world’s largest REE
producers, including the Bayan Obo
REE Mine in China which shows quite
plainly the most important criteria
for success – being a gargantuan
carbonatite
deposit hosting the highly
advantageous REE minerals
monazite
and
bastnaesite
.
Commerce Resources‘ management
has not done anything specifically
new to process the Ashram material
because they did not have to.
Management set their sights on the
most standard type of REE producing
mines in the world, found the Ashram
which compares to these world’s
largest REE producers, and then
advanced the Ashram REE Project to
where it sits now.
According to a statement from Chris
Grove, President of Commerce Resour
-
ces: “More capital is needed to com-
plete the pilot plant and produce the
approximately 20 samples requested
by global majors who have all basically
said that:
1) they are worried about future
supplies and prices for the REEs, and
2) they do not want to have to depend
upon a Chinese source for their own
future.“

| Commerce Resources Corp.
Overall, Commerce Resources has had
the immense support of Zimtu Capital
Corp. and the patience of all debt
holders who believe that Ashram is
the right REE project to help solve the
Western World’s supply problems for
these essential commodities. Zimtu
Capital held 17,784,178 shares of
Commerce Resources at a cost base
of $0.15 CAD per share according
to Zimtu‘s Quarterly Report as at
February 28, 2019.
Typically, the goal of a share
consolidation (also called “roll-back“)
is to complete an equity financing
sometime thereafter as the first
financing after a roll-back is often one
of the most lucrative for investors and
as such may attract fresh capital more
easily.
Note that private investors from all
over the world may also participate in
an equity private placement, where the
company sells and issues new shares
to investors, oftentimes attached with
a warrant which entitles the holder to
acquire more shares from the company
at a fixed price exercisable for up to
several years.
Existing shareholders are sometimes
given priority in an equity private
placement following a roll-back.
In case Commerce Resources
announces its intent to complete
an equity private placement after
the roll-back, I plan to participate
as an existing shareholder because
I continue to be a strong believer in
the ability of Commerce Resources‘
management team to advance the
Ashram REE Project for the benefit of
its shareholders.
Consider that the proposed share
consolidation may also create the
ability for Commerce Resources to be
in a strong position to negotiate terms
with interested parties to take the
Ashram REE Project to the next level.
It‘s time to take the bull by the horns
and make it happen – with a strong
corporate structure and strong
partners.

Commerce Resources Corp. and Saville Resources Inc. Report Drill Results including 1.36% Nb2O5 over 4.5 m at the Niobium Claim Group Property, Quebec
June 11, 2019 – Commerce Resources Corp. (TSXv: CCE, FSE: D7H) (the “Company” or “Commerce”) is pleased to announce the final drill hole results from Saville Resources Inc. (TSXv: SRE, FSE: S0J) (“Saville Resources”) on the Mallard Prospect at the Niobium Claim Group Property (the “Property”), a subset of the Company’s Eldor claims, which are located approximately 130 km south of Kuujjuaq, Quebec. The Property covers several prospective and advanced-stage niobium-tantalum targets, with Saville Resources completing Year-1 of its Earn-in Agreement on these claims.
Sample assays for drill hole EC19-174A have now been received and have returned the strongest and widest mineralized intervals of niobium to date on the Property. Starting from only 17 m depth (core length), results include 0.80% Nb2O5 over 31.5 m, including 0.98% Nb2O5 over 13.5 m or 1.36% Nb2O5 over 4.5 m, as well as a second sub-interval of 1.04% Nb2O5 over 7.7 m. This near-surface mineralization is followed by a second well mineralized interval, starting from 96.5 m depth (core length), which assays 0.79% Nb2O5 over 37.0 m, including 1.01% Nb2O5 over 7.5 m, as well as a third mineralized horizon assaying 0.67% Nb2O5 over 20.0 m. A total of eleven (11) individual samples from EC19-174A returned >1% Nb2O5 with a peak sample of 1.68% Nb2O5 over 1.5 m.
Company President, Chris Grove states “The potential at Mallard only seems to grow with each drill hole completed. The results from the recent Saville Resources program have been excellent and we are excited to have them continue to advance this asset and unlock the additional value for our shareholders as we focus on the Ashram Rare Earth Deposit, located only 2 km away.”
To date, preliminary interpretation of the drill data indicates the Mallard Prospect is characterized by a series of sub-parallel, elongate, moderate-steep dipping, northwest trending mineralized horizons that extend from surface and remain open in all directions. These higher-grade mineralized horizons are separated by comparable horizons of moderate to low grade niobium mineralization. Given the elongate nature of the mineralized horizons, as well as their moderate-steep dip, the mineralized horizons encountered at depth in each hole have a reasonable potential to continue up-dip, and potentially to surface, and therefore, could be intersected at a shallower depth by stepping the drill forward.
In addition, strong grades of tantalum and phosphate continue to be returned in association with the niobium with a zonation between all three evident. Additional mineralogical work is planned as part of Phase II to advance the understanding of the mineral relationships across the mineralized horizons.
thank you lots 'Commerce Resources Corp. (CMRZF)'

China's rare earth supplies could be vital bargaining chip in U.S. trade war
May 22, 2019 / 5:43 PM
https://tinyurl.com/y5ddyhow
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Rare earth elements are used in a wide range
of consumer products, from iPhones to electric car motors,
as well as military jet engines,
satellites and
lasers.
Rising tensions between the United States and China have sparked concerns that Beijing could
use its dominant position as a supplier of rare earths for
leverage in the trade war between the two global economic powers.
WHAT ARE RARE EARTHS USED IN?
Rare earths are used in rechargeable batteries for electric and hybrid cars,
advanced ceramics,
computers,
DVD players,
wind turbines,
catalysts in cars and
oil refineries,
monitors,
televisions,
lighting,
lasers,
fiber optics,
superconductors and
glass polishing.
Several rare earth elements,
such as neodymium and dysprosium,
are critical to the motors used in electric vehicles.
RARE EARTHS IN MILITARY EQUIPMENT
Some rare earth minerals are essential in military equipment such
as jet engines, missile guidance systems, antimissile defense systems, satellites, as well as in lasers.
Lanthanum, for example, is needed to manufacture night vision devices.
The U.S. Defense Department accounts for about 1% of U.S. demand,
which in turn accounts for about 9% of global demand for rare earths,
according to a 2016 report from the congressional U.S. Government Accountability Office.
WHICH COMPANIES ARE MOST DEPENDENT ON CHINESE SUPPLIES?
Companies such as
Raytheon Co,
Lockheed Martin Corp and
BAE Systems Plc all make sophisticated missiles that use rare
earths metals in their guidance systems, and sensors.
Lockheed and BAE declined to comment. Raytheon did not respond to a request for comment.
Apple Inc uses rare earth elements in speakers,
cameras and the so-called “haptic” engines
that make its phones vibrate.
The company says the elements are not available from traditional recyclers because
they are used in such small amounts they cannot be recovered.
Since 2010, the government and private industry have built up
stockpiles of rare earths and components that use them, according to Eugene Gholz,
a former senior Pentagon supply chain expert,
who teaches at the University of Notre Dame.
Some suppliers have scaled back their use of such elements, he said.
WHAT ARE RARE EARTHS AND WHERE DO THEY OCCUR?
Rare earth metals are a group of 17 elements
- lanthanum,
cerium,
praseodymium,
neodymium,
promethium,
samarium,
europium,
gadolinium,
terbium,
dysprosium,
holmium,
erbium,
thulium,
ytterbium,
lutetium,
scandium,
yttrium - that appear in low concentrations in the ground.
Although they are more abundant than their name implies,
they are difficult and costly to mine and process cleanly.
China hosts most of the world’s processing capacity and supplied
80% of the rare earths imported by the United States from 2014 to 2017.
In 2017, China accounted for 81% of the world’s rare earth production, data from the U.S. Geological Survey showed.
Importers made limited efforts to reduce rare earth consumption
and dependence on China after a diplomatic dispute between China
and Japan in 2010.
Japan accused China of halting rare earth supplies for political reasons,
sparking recognition worldwide of the risks of dependence on one supplier. China denied it had halted supplies.
Few alternative suppliers were able to compete with China,
which is home to 37% of global rare earths reserves.
California’s Mountain Pass mine is the only operating U.S. rare earths facility.
But MP Materials, owner of Mountain Pass,
ships the roughly 50,000 tonnes of rare earth concentrate it extracts each year from California to China for processing.
China has imposed a tariff of 25% on those imports during the trade war.
Australia’s Lynas Corporation Ltd this week said it signed a
memorandum of understanding with
Texas-based Blue Line Corp to build a rare earth processing facility in the United States.
Rare earths are also mined in India, South Africa, Canada, Australia, Estonia, Malaysia and Brazil.
HOW ARE RARE EARTHS AFFECTED BY U.S. TARIFFS?
So far, the U.S. government has exempted rare earths from tariffs on Chinese goods.
OPTIONS TO REDUCE RELIANCE ON CHINESE IMPORTS
U.S. senators introduced legislation in May to encourage development
of domestic supplies.
Recycling has also emerged as a potential source for rare earth minerals.
Nebraska-based Rare Earth Salts is taking old fluorescent light tubes and
recycling them for their rare earth elements,
which comprise about 20 percent of the bulb,
according to the Association of Lamp and Mercury Recyclers.

Let me be the first on this board to say congratulations to Chris Grove for his promotion to president,i have know and talked with him for at least 3 yrs now and he is very intelligent and knowledgeable in this field and i have all the confidence that he will take his company forward.
My son is a geologist and before these results he liked what he was seeing with their previous results,so i sent this to him and i am waiting to here back from him.IMHO this stock is way undervalued just not sure why.
This one's a no-brainer, IMHO. The isolation chemistry outlined in that recent report speaks volumes, to a chemist, anyway. Also, it seems to me that the Nb & Ta assets are not assigned any value by the market right now ?? Wish I had more...
I have received some news that has made me re-think my next move and as soon as i can move some things around i just might strengthen my position.
Is currently (now) dipping down into "Buy Zone"....imho
Hello ?

Hate to say this but i have had shares for over two years and i might just dump all of them at weeks end, with all of the drill results in and still this stock goes down not looking like it will every move up and take off.
I do not understand why there is no interests in this stock? No matter what information they put out.....nothing.
The new data is great and CMRZF has enough money to go forward without having to have help financially.
really like the new drill data. this is looking better and better. a real keeper, this one, IMHO.
likely not a lot of time left to load up now. if they are able to even convert a meaningful fraction of the inferred to measured/indicated, this will fly IMHO. wish I had bought more :)

This is a great article and shows just how undervalued this stock is.
I have had this stock for a while now and if it stays here just a little longer i will LOAD up with a large amount.
