It's more than just self promotion. The company has been fundamentally mismanaged to date. How they can pull just a few million a quarter out of the real time sonar technology is a fascinating case study in ineptitude especially given the amount of money they have invested in the product. They operate like a family owned dry cleaner, and lets not forget glass door seems to believe the CEO is a lunatic.
Ya they just don't seem as though they want to promote themselves at all.
The IR team is a reflection of the management who hired them
These guys have a monopoly on an important technology that they have never been able to really capitalize on.
To paraphrase a presidential campaign slogan.
"It's the management stupid"
Apparently! What gives. They have the DAVD, new military contracts! The new IR/PR team they put in place a couple years ago has done nothing imho!
Wrong IR and wrong management team if you want that
Beuller... Beuller... Anyone?? Anyone?
Come on CODA let's have some information. I've been a shareholder for 8+ years. Doesn't seem like you've been working on share value or growth lately for my investment.
It would make sense given nasa was testing with the davd. Don’t count on the company disclosing that though unless it’s required by law.
I wonder if Coda will be involved with the new NASA suit?

This seems like news
I don't remember the company confirming delivery and sale of operational DAVD systems yet.
The demonstration showcased a prototype of the multi-occupant flexible recompression chamber (MORFC) and the first generation diver augmented vision display (DAVD). The DAVD was delivered to UCT and Mobile Diving and Salvage Units (MDSU) for immediate operational use

Thank you very much.
Hahahaha -- I actually thought it was funny, very old school.
Thanks for the link
Have to say that after listening I want that 10 minutes of my life back.
Yes, that meeting was part of the Proxy vote.
I just went back into mine and there is a link to join the meeting ( did not join yesterday btw )
I followed the link which said I needed my Control# to participate but I just tried it now and it started playing without the Control.
Here it is, I'm assuming it is for public consumption now since it's already happened and it let me in without and security?

Although it does say virtual. I’ve never seen anything on a virtual meeting. Didn’t get an invite, never saw a link.
Oh that ... I don’t think they have ever streamed the annual meeting.
There was an event listed on the corporate website's "Events" page... "2020 Annual Meeting of Stockholders" Sep 8, 2020 • 12:00pm EDT.
Here is a link to that page, with the event listed at the top (now in the "Past" Events section).

I didn’t see anything about a call today? What call did you see?
Thanks, do you happen to whether the call scheduled for today was postponed?
Earnings aren’t out yet
Ugh... I missed the conference call. Any key points worth discussing? Thanks.

News out
DAVD restarting. Good news, but of course with the company and MDC group (the IR firm) being generally incompetent when it comes to communication there is not enough detail there to know if revenue has actually been recorded. I'm not sure why it is so hard to write a clear articulate press release.

I use watch lists heavily with both programs. Also, I had to re-configure each program to do what I want to do with it.
Think or Swim and Medved Trader.
How do u keep track of 700 stocks
Just speculating here, but maybe some involvement with the Russian oil spill and Echoscope??
I agree on the long-term potential here. And also thought CODA was a buy recently around $5. I think today's pump & dump is a good opportunity to sell on the pop and buy back lower. But could be wrong. We'll see.
My watch lists consists of 700 to 800 stocks....to me they are all in play every day...but, CODA I am being patient with due to longer term potential.
Based on potential and the pipeline. That is what I am holding for....I am a trader, but CODA is one of the few longterm holds I have. I usually have between 50 and 60 stocks....trade in and out of all but about three.
Ha based on what?? Certainly not on the poor earnings report last month.
After looking at his picks, I have played many of them....made a lot of money with these picks.
He says he is still buying....said it should be at $12 to $15.
Check out CODA on stocktwits. Guess it was this guy 'mrinvestorpro' who sent out a CODA alert this morning to his many thousands of followers. I was happy to sell my shares on the pump. In a normal market, CODA would come right back down to around $5 in the coming days. But in the current euphoria...who knows.
What newsletter?
Looks like we're getting a newsletter pump & dump today. Will take it!
Anyone know what’s up? SP popped, then trading halted.
Got excited when I saw coda news
Nope just one of Ann Marie's form 4's.
New here. Nibbled on a few. Good luck.
From the PR:
Ms. Gayle continued: “We had a strong and promising start to our fiscal first quarter. However, we expect our annual results for fiscal 2020 to be negatively impacted due to the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak and the continued uncertainties associated with this pandemic. We continue to adapt our business practices, and are re-opening our business in phases, in accordance with local rules of engagement in the places in which we operate.
“Despite these challenges, in the fiscal second quarter, a number of defense programs which we consider as significant for our growth, were confirmed to proceed, including the Marine Technology Products Business’s award and funding of the second generation of the DAVD system. Our DAVD production prototype was signed off and accepted under the Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama Division for the benefit of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), and is sponsored by the Office of Naval Research (ONR),” continued Ms. Gayle. “The first generation of the DAVD system has now been certified for fleet issue use by the US Navy and, along with a number of our Echoscope® models, is included in the Authorized for Navy Use (ANU) product list. We have started receiving the first orders for the DAVD, in conjunction with our compact Echoscope® C500 real-time 3D sonar. The pace of rollout of the DAVD is dependent on when the Navy operations are normalized and personnel can participate safely in sea trials.
“In addition, our defense engineering and products business is advancing a number of projects during this period. The team has made good progress on the Thermite® Octal embedded, rugged computer program, which is a key pillar of our Group growth strategy. We are pleased that the Thermite® Octal has passed the U.S. Military standard (Mil-Spec) acceptance, and we have delivered units into a new Foreign Airforce Program, representing the first, small-batch production quantities of this product. We remain confident that the Thermite® Octal opportunity will grow. The business has also delivered two production prototype subassemblies into a new U.S. Defense program. We expect to receive the production order in the near future,” concluded Ms. Gayle.
OK well results sucked but no surprise there
Revenue worse than I guessed and loss a little better. Ann Marie is no visionary, and doesn't know how to scale a business into high growth, but she is excellent at counting her beans. Haven't read the filing yet. Any takes?
Not really. I don't really understand anything about this market right now. So much junk is flying for no reason at all. I think the upcoming quarter for CODA will be poor...but the stock could still get a spike to $10 this summer on the right PR if the market stays this frothy.
Got a SWAG on earnings?
I have no idea other than poor, but for fun I'll say
revenue: 4.2 million
Gross profit: 1.8 million
Operating income -0.5 million
That wouldn't be terrible, but I fear I am being optimistic and its something worse because their highest margin rental revenue is going to be obliterated.
Definitely one of the few stocks that haven't participated at all in the rally.
Yeah guessing this quarter is going to be brutal. If they aren’t flying around to support their rentals they are losing very high margin business. Question will be what is the outlook?
Should get the next earnings report in about a week. Probably a rough quarter. But in this incredibly buoyant market...as long as they say things have gotten a little better recently...stock could still get a pop higher.
Would be nice to hear from Coda Octopus group right about now!?
Most likely random. It hasn’t really gotten a bounce at all as the market has ripped higher. Doesn’t seem shocking that it might catch up a little for no particular reason.
Leaked good news would be nice, but that seems unlikely at this moment in time. I think the upcoming quarter is likely to be ugly.

Originally founded in 1994 as Coda Technologies, the Coda Octopus Group is now headquartered in Lakeland, Florida.
The Group consists of a Marine Products business located in Lakeland, Florida, Edinburgh, Scotland, Perth, Australia, and Bergen, Norway, and engineering businesses, Coda Octopus Colmek in Salt Lake City, Utah and Coda Octopus Martech in Weymouth, England. Each of the Group companies are technology innovators with a particularly high level of sonar expertise. The Group has facilities in Florida, Utah, the UK, Australia, and Norway.
Alongside providing bespoke engineering and development for defense applications one of the Group's key products is the patented Coda Echoscope® - the first real time 3D sub-sea sonar which is used in oil and gas, underwater construction, search and rescue operations and port and harbor security and constructions. The top end software which runs on the Echoscope® (Underwater Survey Explorer) is also proprietary to Coda Octopus. The Echoscope® is also at the heart of the Underwater Inspection System which is being adopted for port and harbor security, and other applications globally. We have a number of products which are based on our real time 3D technology (Echoscope®, Underwater Inspection System and Dimension® (the latter being a forward looking real time sonar targeted at ROV applications)).
With this patented revolutionizing sub-sea visualization capability, and the existing systems integration skills within Coda Octopus Colmek, Inc. and Coda Octopus Martech Ltd., the Coda Octopus Group believes it can become a world leading integrated sonar technology supplier.
