Being brutally honest here. I went to CMG 3 different times the past week after not being there in at least a year. I go to a CMG here in S Cal (Valencia) that has always been busy. Great area. People with money.
Went there during a Tuesday and Fri evening, and a Sat at lunchtime.
At no time was the crowd within 50% of what it was before covid. When I went before my wife and I always had a 10 minute wait at least. I realize most orders are pickup, but even with that I sat in the parking lot and watched for 20 minutes, it was a maybe 25% of a normal crowd.
The food? Not as good as I remembered it. I got the barbacoa burrito the first time with avocado, and the bowl the next 2 times, first with chicken and then with steak. The flavors were very bland. Not all that fresh. I only finished one of the meals. I was kind of upset with myself that I spent $10 per meal.
Putting it simply, I have no idea how this stock is where it is $ wise.

Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. said it has added Grubhub Inc. as a delivery provider , a deal that underscores how restaurant chains are looking to beef up delivery options after officials ordered dining rooms closed earlier this year to try to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Chipotle on Monday said consumers can now order burritos and other menu items from its stores through Grubhub's app as well as the delivery company's website.
Chipotle said for the first quarter its digital sales rose 81% year over year, representing about 26% of total sales for the period.
The company said in March that after closing its dining rooms due to the pandemic, it moved to invest in digital sales and delivery, including focusing marketing on such efforts and striking a delivery deal with Uber Technologies Inc.'s Uber Eats unit.
Chipotle's food is available through other delivery firms too, such as Postmates Inc.
Grubhub earlier this month agreed to merge with the European delivery provider Just Eat Takeaway.com NV after holding talks with Uber about a potential combination.

The team has been invited back for the 2020 Chipotle Challenger Series II to defend their title.

Facebook Messenger, group ordering and donation option broaden U.S. digital capabilities
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., June 17, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG) today announced a series of innovations to its digital platform to increase access and convenience for guests, including the introduction of the Chipotle app in Canada. Now guests in Canada can order their favorite Chipotle meals via Chipotle.ca or the Chipotle app, as well as through DoorDash and Uber Eats.
Beginning June 22, guests can order on Facebook Messenger by visiting Facebook.com/chipotle or the Chipotle page on the Facebook app and selecting the “Message Us” option.

Chipotle is also introducing a series of enhancements to its mobile ordering capabilities including Pepper, its Concierge Bot on Facebook Messenger. Beginning June 22, customers can order on Messenger by visiting Facebook.com/chipotle or the Chipotle page on the Facebook app and selecting the "Message Us" option. Pepper will ask for the customer's location to find the closest Chipotle restaurant. Next, the customer will be guided through the ordering experience, which mirrors the in-restaurant process, allowing guests to completely customize meals with light, standard or extra ingredient quantities and sides. Customers also have the option to use natural language to simply describe their order to Pepper. Finally, a payment option can be selected, and new customers can create an account or checkout as a guest, while existing customers can login to their Chipotle Rewards (US-only) account to access saved payment info and redeem rewards. Orders will be created for mobile pickup or delivery, which are customized via the brand's Digital Kitchens, dedicated ingredient stations operated by special teams in nearly all Chipotle locations. Digital orders feature tamper evident packaging seals to help ensure food is secure upon pick-up in-restaurant or delivery.

Starting tomorrow, Chipotle will also be leveraging the Chipotle app and Chipotle.com as a donation platform to allow others to give back. Using a new technology feature, guests can round up their bill to the next highest dollar amount at checkout to donate to organizations advocating against issues like systemic racism and inequality, beginning with the National Urban League in June.
