If they did, that would be good for shareholders.
Therefore, I find it very unlikely that they will.
Thank all you guys, great job
Anyone know if Chemtura is planning on re-installing the dividend any time soon?
As the year winds down I would like to thank everyone on this board for the continued vigilance and knowledge being shared about this stock. 2011 was certainly and up and down year for many including this stock. I wish everyone on this board a very Merry Christmas and that the new year bring wealth, health, and this stock break north of these darn 12ths.
Special Thanks to Jax for all that he does and monitors and to Madclown for his updates on his blog regarding share distribution for those of us during the bk days.
The total number of distributions (3, 4, 5?) is not so important, I think. The total AMOUNT distributed is! :)
I remember to have read somewhere some time ago there would be at least 4 distributions
Good update, thanks. The funds in the non-objecting creditors reserve should come to Class 13a (CEMJQ holders) once all other claims are settled.
There were 4100 claims in 2010, now there are less than 500 (as the update advises) so there is without a doubt at least one more distribution to 13a, and it should be a decent one too.
taking as long as possible -I want the interest on that cash -
They have screwed with the old shareholders from day one. The first distribution I got they shorted me one share on each the two accounts holding CEMJQ. They were supposed to round up each fraction share above a half share. They were both above 0.7 shares and they rounded down. I had to contact the Debtors’ claims agent at (866) 967-0261.
Has anyone else noticed how they seem to keep drawing out the claims process so that they avoid paying out the leftover funds from the creditors reserve. I have not been following it closely but I believe that the final payout will be more than 14 million. Every claim they have settled is for less than listed.
Glad to hear that. Better late than never. I think there will be at least one more distribution.
wow wonder what the hold up was -thats not right
Finally received my shares and cash from the second supplemental distribution. It took quite a while though. GREAT!!!
catdaddy, me my bro was thinking M of something M ideas what can make a go at it R its a choice at it F no time a waisting!
Don't hope for another distribution. I got the first, but for some reason not the second one.
No one can explain why. In fact nobody tries to explain why! That's CHMT!!!
Could not happen to a nicer bunch of crooks
now that is cold g2nec but if I could buy it again for .04 I would be ALL over it -lol
Damn cat, we can play chmtq!!!!
if the economy keeps dying you can bet we will see more companies fail as the situation that brought down Chemtura has not been fixed at all -- we will meet again my friend
Will miss you. Hope we meet again on another once in a lifetime opportunity!
Totally agree Jax. I will also miss Catdaddy. CEMJQ was a once in a lifetime ride. I made good money then lost a bundle riding it down. Hoping for some fair and just treatment from "Captian Craig" and the court. Best board ever though.
Anyone know when another distribution might happen?
Still waiting for my 2nd distribution...
This is unbelievable! anyone else who received the first but not the second?
thinking about contacting a good lawyer...
Looks like we will be testing new lows in the coming weeks.
Totally agree Jax, have a great Turkey Day
Once the initial IHUB mono crew took it's profits within the first week or so and moved on, it turned into one of the most solid DD and investor pro-active boards to date IMO.
A high number of posters willing to participate in research and direct shareholder activism, with almost an absolute minimum of the across the board daily pumping seen on IHUB to try to maintain interest and keep the PPS up.
There was no need for that due to the quality of posters.
Too bad so many other boards fail to live up to the example set here.
Agreed, it was a great board with great peeps and DD
I got in early and stayed late but did make some very nice sells on along the way -has been one of the best boards on ihub- thanks to all for your time and input on this beast - I would do this one all over again -no doubt -
Understand and we will miss you Cat. Class guy and thanks for all of your input over the past year or two.
DONE sold my last few hundred shares and will dump any others I get at market price as soon as they arrive -what a piss poor failure for a reorganized company - made good money on this one but really had higher expectations of the new company -silly me what was I thinking
It say's "chem corp Escrow Contra do not sell"...
You should have rec' 2 distributions, the old stk itself is worthless
I bought my shares through think or swim, they show no value still. should i ask them what's going on or talk to someone from Chem.
Did you buy CEMJQ shares from a broker? I got mine through a 401K. Later I rolled it into an IRA. The second payout showed up in my IRA but in a different section that I had not looked in before. GL.
Still haven't received my shares or cash from the second distribution. Already talked to my broker. seems they are in no hurry to come up with answers...
anyone some advice what I can do? next step?
No, nor will they ever be again (directly). Ownership of CEMJQ does entitle you to distributions in cash and CHMT shares, two such distributions have already been made. If you didn't get them, then you need to follow up on that.
My cemjq are still not worth anything
You mean, paid again for the 3rd time (there have already been two distributions, obviously)?
Who knows when we are getting paid from or old CEMJQ shares?
Yeah, Up one day, down the next, up the next day and down the day after that.
I have done well flipping this
Checking this board out brings me back down memory lane when once upon a time this was a great penny stock play. Now we have a mgmt team that every1 knows is crap, drove the stock into the ground during the '09 credit crisis, made some here a good chunk of change that were lucky enough to get in early and then out in time with a nice profit. A few people are still holding the bag, but why not turn around and purchase some LEAP puts on this thing and make some money back or at least hedge a bet against the old shares you got crapped out of. Not sure if this post will be welcome or not but just wanted 2 throw in my 2 cents.
More important to collect some shares for future executive compensation. lol
I agree. A dividend every quarter will gain the attention of institutional buyers. Not sure what their purpose really is here. So vague on the details. Almost sounds like they kept the mentality of the pinkies when they moved back onto the NYSE.
An "interesting" turn of events. Not much surprises me about Chemtura now. I'm just holding mine until what seems to me the inevitable sale of the firm to BASF, Dow, some other chem company or some investment group.
Edit to add - if they've got 50mil to spend, I guess a dividend isn't even a consideration? Jeez...
Don't forget that alot of them bought shares at a price higher then where we stand today. Maybe they have a bunch of options where the strike price is much higher then it is today. Heck the stock is down a #1.00 today. IMO they should have given the 50 million to old shareholders. Mr R is a big joke.
Yeah, stock repurchase always carries a few questions.
Are the shares that cheap now that management sees opportunity ?
Do they expect it to slide further ?
Are they trying to boost PPS ultimately ?
None are good scenarios and most times IMO a SRP is not a good thing, it means that the company is trying to make a market for it's own stock by means other than increasing value by growing operations so well the market would react favorably on it's own.
Just my 2 cents.
