Looking at the price action today I say the wait may be a good thing. I am sure I would have instantly dumped my shares if they were to have made it into my account already. Does anyone know why this is moving now?
looks like they asked the judge to delay till March 9th. They plan to add the 8.9 million from the NPC settlement to this distribution.
"Specifically, the Order will extend the outside date for the Reorganized Debtors to begin making the Supplemental Distribution from March 2, 2012 to March 9, 2012."

Anyone recieve a distribution of shares/money yet?
"Honorable" judge Gerber. Disgusting title... greedy should be a better description
Yeah, I wonder what the judge got.
"On February 22, 2012, pursuant to Chemtura's previously-approved 2010 Long-Term Incentive Plan, the Compensation Committee approved the value of stock option, restricted stock unit and performance share grants to be made to our named executive officers on March 1, 2012: Mr. Rogerson - $4,500,000; Mr. Forsyth - $975,000; Mr. Cross - $775,000; Mr. Swiech - $635,000; and Ms. Flaherty - $710,000. The grants will be made in 45% restricted stock units, 30% stock options and 25% performance shares. The stock options and restricted stock units will vest ratably over three years from the date of grant, and the exercise price for the stock options will be based on the closing price of our common stock on March 1, 2012. The performance shares measurement period will be three calendar years, and the performance shares metric will be relative total shareholder return against the Russell 3000 Index."
4.5 Million - WOW - I guess were getting the "carrots"
nice courtroom justice- where is the compensation for the judge ?? I know damn well hes getting paid also - the mob has nothing on these corporate thieves- this is a much better organized criminal layout-
WOW! What a sweet deal for them (mngt). Seems to be plenty of palm greasin' to me or is that just general practice?
Is that some sort of challenge? Show me your chart? Okay, I believe I will. And that CHMT chart will actually be my chart, not borrowed from stockcharts or some other place.
You keep up the good work, you hear? 100000 posts, over 800 boards moderated......you're taking over ihub. You go.
One of these days, a competitor will come along and not put up with it.
NPC settlement proposed gives CEMJQ shareholders another 8.9 million
"Upon NPC’s receipt of the Distribution, the Reorganized Debtors shall be authorized, and are directed, to release from the DCR $8,905,931 in distributable value (representing the remaining balance of the total $12,855,931 in value in the DCR on account of
the NPC Claim after payment of the Allowed Claim of $3,950,000), which shall be distributed to Class 13a Interest Holders (the “NPC Surplus Distribution”). The Reorganized Debtors shall
make the NPC Surplus Distribution as soon as practicable after NPC’s receipt of the Distribution, but in no event more than fourteen (14) days after NPC’s receipt of the Distribution."
I want you to be bullish at these levels and hold for a long time. Though, what you do is entirely up to you. What I want, and you do is not advice from me. Show me your best chart and I'll show you one of mine.

*If the earnings date is in error please ignore error. I do my best.
Actually I believe that it is March 3, 2012 on distribution, not Feb 25, 2012. I could be wrong and if I am please correct me.
No additional shares/money as of 5:00 AM this morning.
We should have the shares and money by this Saturday.
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I did not see the other disputed claims settled prior to the 2-16-2012 date so the distribution should be as Madclown posted with the current 13,447,153 distributed to the prior to bk shareholders. Another distribution at a later date now looks in the cards as the claims are being settled and about to come to a close in the foreseeable future.
A nice bit of good news for this account. Still underwater on it though. :) haha
According to Maclown's Blog (see below) we should have some money and shares before next Saturday.
"Chemtura’s Proposed Distribution to Class 13a Interest Holders Receives Court Approval
On January 26, 2012, the Bankruptcy Court approved the proposed distribution of $13,447,153 in distributable value to Class 13a Interest Holders. The Order, [Dkt. No. 5673] stated that “The Reorganized Debtors shall begin making the Supplemental Distribution on or before March 2, 2012”. The Order also provided that if settlements were approved with respect to the Givaudan or Continental disputed claims on or before February 16, 2012, then the March 2, 2012 distribution could be further increased to include any amounts by which the asserted claim amounts exceed the settled amounts. The Order further provided that if such additional settlements were not approved on or before February 16, 2012 then any distributable amounts could be distributed at a later date in a separate distribution."
FWIW. Scottrade showing CEMJQ# as marker for old shares for quite some time now. This morning showing CEMJQ##.
As always, thanks for your input on Chemtura and do not be a stranger around here.
It should be around 85% stock based on the $13.45 valuation and around 15% cash. It should be in the realized range of around .058-9 per old share.
That's what I'm thinking anyways.
Justavoice,
From previous distributions, I recall looking for but not finding such info before they happened. The total amount is announced, but the exact ratio of cash to CHMT shares I've only known once they hit my Scottrade account.
Correct, read the paperwork and did not see if cash or stock or cash & stock distribution did anyone else see that info?
As always a big THANK YOU to our friend Madclown for keeping up with this and he is a deligent investor.
Good post.
I calculate .055/CEMJQ share based on 242,900,000 shares of CEMJQ outstanding.
And in about one month from now, not in May as originally requested.
Chemtura’s Proposed Distribution to Class 13a Interest Holders Receives Court Approval
http://thediligentinvestor.blogspot.com/2012/01/chemturas-proposed-distribution-to.html
Nice move up...I'm sure it will be back to $11/share soon though.
And the hearing to see if there was an objection was on Jan 26th, so the results should be out in the court docs soon to see if the motion for an additional distribution to 13a was approved.
Correct, and I believe distribution would be in the range of .065 per old CEMJQ share. Do not know if distribution will be stock, cash, or combo of both.
scroll back and you can see posts outlining the prospective amounts. From memory, I think the distribution date if approved will be 5/7/12
don't know how much or when but there is some more distribution coming
do we know the percent or amount? Thanks
and we will get some more shares - good luck see ya around
Done and done also, sold my 558 shares the other day. See ya men unless we get more shares! Live and learn. In LNG & IDIX right now & green!
hearing on the 26th on objections if any
Chemtura Seeks Permission for May 7, 2012 Distribution to Class 13a Equity Interest Holders
On January 5, 2012, Reorganized Chemtura filed a motion in Bankruptcy Court seeking permission to make distributions with an aggregate value of $13,653,406 to holders of Class 13a Equity Interests of the Debtors on the next scheduled distribution date of May 7, 2012. The Company cautioned that as of the filing of the motion the Unsecured Creditors had not indicated whether they would support or oppose the distribution as proposed and as such the Company reserved the right to make adjustments.
Reorganized Chemtura estimates that there are only 44 Disputed Claims remaining on the Debtors’ claims register, 26 of which are Insured Claims for which there may not be any distribution from the Disputed Claims Reserve. However, the number of remaining Disputed Claims does not include Disputed Claims that are subject to previously executed settlement agreements for which distributions will be made on or before the next Distribution Date.
As of January 5, 2012, the total aggregate value remaining in the Disputed Claims Reserve was $29,475,840 which would leave $15,822,434 of value in the Disputed Claims Reserve. Holders of legacy CEMJQ should remember that the “value” includes both cash and CHMT common stock which was assigned a value of $13.45 per share for the purposes of setting aside assets in the Disputed Claims Reserve in accordance with Chemtura’s Chapter 11 Reorganization Plan which became effective on November 10, 2010.
The Hearing on the matter is scheduled for January 26, 2012 at 9:45 a.m. (ET). The Objection Deadline has been established as January 19, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. (ET).
Still here and holding, how many times will be go up and down between 11. and 12? The distribution coming in Apr/May if stock issue will be at a value of ~$13.50 I believe. Will watch that coming up and the next qtrly result will be interesting to watch as this qtr is usually not as large as previous qtr. However the economy has been picking up a little in my business and others that I talk to, so that movement might show in this coming report.
Madclowns blog: Distribution info
http://thediligentinvestor.blogspot.com/
I calculate as:
13,653,000 (Distribution Amount) / 242,900,000* (Shares of CEMJQ) =
0.0562/share of CEMJQ held.
*The amount ot CEMJQ shares outstanding is from memory, I believe this is correct though.
Thanks Local, you really keep up with this stuff very well!
Hopefully the order gets passed.
Thank you sir for your diligence
Is this distribution around 5 cents per old share?
New distribution to CEMJQ shareholders of 13.653 million.
That will leave 15.8 million in the disputed reserve fund. Only 44 claims remain of which only eight are likely to be pais from the reserve.

Lmao yep thats about right chem8 very unlikely
lol - Remember that Mr R and his cronies bought a bunch around $13 so it would benefit them if they did re-instate the dividend.
If they did, that would be good for shareholders.
Therefore, I find it very unlikely that they will.
Thank all you guys, great job
Anyone know if Chemtura is planning on re-installing the dividend any time soon?
